I had not seen that but just read it. IDK...lots of crazies surface after something of this magnitude but I NEVER discount "evil" being "evil" and not a coincidence. Murderers, criminals, felons, derranged people will ALWAYS have guns just like junkies have illegal drugs....don't they? Laws may make it a little harder for them but they still have them. Good, rational, law abiding citizens will be the ONLY ones without guns.

I think it happens all the time. It's just that we appreciate hearing about it more after something terrible has happened. Bad news travels faster than good news.

You know, LR, my beloved Dr Denmark that I always rave about and follow her baby/child schedule, was the Dr who discovered the pertussis vaccine(with another Dr). I dont think it was anything more than a BAD case of the flu or something that settled in my chest. I never had a fever. I almost never get a cough....everything I ever get is sinus related. I am just so thankful that it wasnt a disc, etc. I really didnt even consider that. I do have pleurisy, too, and like another poster said, it is worse than the broken ribs. Slowly getting better. I literally feels like every single muscle from my waist to my neck has been pulled and twisted. Lowrider...I dont know what I had but it was such a terrible, nagging cough for about 4 days. I consider myself a "news junkie" but I didnt know about this until about 5 pm yesterday. I was busy and just didnt have the tv or radio on. I dont think it's too far fetched. Although, we are used to such quick and "in our face" media covereage that its hard to think something so big can get past us.
