  1. I have two sets of twin sheets and several extra pillow cases. Also have a nice round kitchen table that was just given to me, and I do not need. Please let me know if they will be useful to them
  2. As always pubby-I look for and respect your opinion. so, when are you going to run for something? seems you have a good undersstanding of our issues, and the background to pull it off. What do you think????
  3. happy b'day to p-com---best dang advertising I've found in a long time, best dang drama also. Keeps me on my toes, keeps me laughing, keeps me wondering who the heck are these people, and why haven't I met some of them yet?? Kudos to you Pubby!!! I think this calls for a celebration-lets all get together and have some fun. I'll supply the cake!
  4. Make sure they are happy in their hen house-unhappy hens won't lay!! Do they have a nice play to lay-lots of wheat straw??? Nice house to go into at night-safe and all that??? Mine are fussy-like everything just right or they stop laying.
  5. Just another thought-y'all come on back in 20 years and tell me how your kids turned out, the proofs in the pudding!. I raised my kids right-all that socially acceptable , in control, used my head thing. It went nowhere with one of them because she was the exception to the rule, and many of them are. Adolescense is a time of insanity-hormone rage-& lack of common sense. It's a time for parents to get creative, strong, and often angry. Not out of control now-just angry. I wish I had been stronger and angrier with my problem child. I loved her to much. I read to many books, went to to many
  6. I guess it was time to stop babying her and give her a taste of real life-real life is hard, and there is no white washing it. Besides, if she spent the evening "hanging out with the older guy", she's no baby anymore! Parents need to realize that they aren't raising babies-they are raising men and women. Raise a baby, and that's what you get. As far as the other girls who called the mom-where the heck are their parents?? They should have been called out on it, brought to the woman's house, and made a full apology. Then their own parents should have punished them severely-grounded for a few we

  8. call PCS-members here-770-577-2409
  9. We go every year, and they are "advertising it, so what day is it and will it be at the new courthouse again???
  10. Not looking to do anything myself (except protet my property!!) Just want to turn over any info to the police and let them handle it. Off Ridge Rd, to Friendship church Rd.
  11. Can't be sure of the "teen" thing, but that's what the police seem to think. Stuff that was taken was the kind that kids take-change jars, jewelery, games, etc. On my block-Robin Hood Dr. -they have hit at least 2 homes-one while the people we away on vacation, and one while the family was off at work. In that house, the theives tried to break in through the doggie door (they have a big dog) On the block behind us, they hit at least another 2 homes. I am going to go around an see how many more might be affected. Talked to some of the neighbors and they want to start a Neighborhood watch pr
  12. I've used Todd malcom for years-they are members here too. (phone removed) -not as expensive as the others and a darn good job. Nice man too!!! You'll feel confortable around him. My renters have always commented that he did such a great job and was in and out with no problems-if you know what I mean!!!
  13. Call PCS-they are members here and do a great job at repairs, including restorations due to water issues. They will work with you and your insurance company to get you back to normal-call 770-577-2409
  14. yea, but you still have to be kind, and not laugh in their face!!!
  15. I am an American woman, and I apoliogize when I am wrong-and yes, it does happen! I even apologize to the kids if I am wrong about them! Many of the women I know, also seem to apologize a lot! "sorry honey, dinner isn't ready yet", "sorry dear, I didn't get the grass mowed today!". there are many kind of apologizies. Now, if you mean an outright "gee,Honey, you were right- I like the color you picked out more than the one I did--well..., maybe not! But, that is only because once we make up our mind on something, it is hard to get us to change it without a lot of concrete evedince that we were
  16. pubby, I hate to be so stupid, but what exactly is a troll?
  17. It's so unusual to find everyone agreeing on here!! BUT___ everyone is right. The Best meat around, and they are the best processors of deer also-hands down. Love their venison summer sausage (Ed likes it sweeter, but oh well)
  18. My "Ex" used to keep a big pile of pennies in the ashtray, and fling them when someone did something stupid. The "whack" on the window or metal always got their attention, and sometimes got him in trouble, but he liked trouble anyway!!
  19. I remember being about 2 and running up and down on my grandmothers couch. I must have been young, because I remember that the back of the couch came up to my chest and I was standing. Then she gave me a small religious statue-Mary with a transparent blue background. I never saw her again. My parents divorced, and my dad raised me, and they were my mothers parents So sad that parents do that to their children-omit the other grandparents after a divorce, I mean!!! Such a loss to the child and the grandparents. She must have known it was going to happen and made that moment memorable for me.
  20. Ed was sitting on the "john" this morning, and a BIG spider came down almost on him. He's not afraid of much, but I heard him yell, and then he grabbed the dog (she was trying to eat it) Turns out it was a Black Widow- areally big one. Almost landed on his knee!!! Thank God it wasn't me!! I am pretty good about being in the great outdoors-snakes, animals, even alligators, don't scare me. Most bugs don't scare me either, but should a spider wind up crawling on me, I put on a good show!! Screaming, running, jumping, flailing my arms and smacking myself all over!!! YUP-I don't like those things
  21. I'm not meaning to take offence Subby, but the word "transients" would refer to someone passing through. Was that who you were referring to? I moved her to settle down and become part of the community, over 16 years ago. I think I've managed to assimilate nicely, and except for my dang accent (whick I can't get rid of), I live like most other folks around here-follow the rules, polite to everyone (unless they rile me), and even manage a "hey y'all" now and then. I love it here, and you couldn't make me want to leave if you tried.
  22. Hang in there. Eventually they grow up, and although they often don't move out, you can at least throw them out! Sorry-not being mean or rude, but I understand the way a parent can feel when they have been used, abused, and used up by a child like that. Mine is off somewhere-who knows where and I wouldn't even care if it was not for the grandson I love so much and raise because she could not. With a police record for so many awful offenses I can't bear to think of them, never mind mention them, she is not worth caring about any more. Still, it was not the things she did to me or to our fami
  23. Yup_Karma will bit you in the butt eventually, and all we can do is hope we're there to witness it!!
