  1. Me TOO!!!! I fell in love with him when (I was in middle school) my Mom let me choose the movie I wanted to see for my birthday. Going to a theatre was a big deal to us back then. I chose Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band . By the time Steven Tyler came into the screen as the villain, it was like 'Bee-Gee's, who'?? lol. I was in lust from that point on, and I just think he looks hotter with age, big mouth and all .
  2. Lol...Adrian Brody is another one. I tend to find people attractive that most women would puke on . I have a pretty long list of them, lol.
  3. Yep, me too, G. I cringe every freaking time I pass one. I also always hesitate when my light turns green, to make sure everyone is stopping before I proceed. You'd think after 7 years we would be over this, huh? Ammended to say not 'over this' as in Mom. But that we would not be quite so paranoid still? I don't like the kids riding in white cars either. I hate them.
  4. I've even decided I will watch a few episodes of American Idol this season because he will be on the show. That really is saying something because I hate the show, and haven't watched it since the first season, lol.
  5. It seemed to me there might be. But, I have to confess that I am MUCH more sensitive to the news of any when I hear about them since one killed my Mom 7 years ago. I wasn't sure if it is due to that fact that I notice them more, or if they are occurring with greater frequency.
  6. I KNOW I am so totally in the minority here, but I think Steven Tyler looks better as he gets older , and no I am not kidding. My taste in men is a bit less than mainstream though, I will admit. I also have a thing for Malcom McDowell (fell in love with him back in 'A Clockwork Orange') and Jeff Goldblum. Yes, I am a freak like that .
  7. Yeah, shameful...this stuff pisses me off .
  8. This is an atheist blog...my friend, Ray Garton is an atheist. I however am not and we still respect one another because we agree on SO many other things. This is one of them. He sent me the link to this just this morning, and I feel like it is important enough to share. I don't want to start any arguments or anything with it, just hope many will read and consider. I cried while I read it. To think that any child, or any person has such self loathing or fear of going to school...or just weariness of life in general to take their own lives breaks my heart. I just want to tell them all 'I
  9. Hahaha! You wouldn't know how to stay still in one place if both legs were broken . Just sayin', lol.
  10. Yep, yep, YEP!!!! I am a bibliophile, 100%. Being paid to be around books all day...nothing better. I'm also a book reviewer for Monster Librarian and they pay me in BOOKS!! Yes, it certainly is a sickness.
  11. Yes, Susan speaks the truth...as I can surely attest. We are a mixed bunch of people here. I think the 'other' poster on that incredibly bigoted thread made us all a little jumpy.
  12. Yes it is . That's another reason it is great that you are having it taken care of now. Mine had progressed to the point that I ended up in hospital for several days because the infection had caused many other problems. If they tell you it needs to be removed I would suggest having it done asap so you dont end up with the mess I had. I have other friends who were in and out with absolutely no problem because they were wiser than I was, and did the same thing you are doing. So, good for you! .
  13. I'm glad you are having it checked in time. I had mine removed almost 20 years ago. I was suffering, and I mean suffering with it for years. I finally ended up in the emergency room after ignoring the pain (the same as you describe) and eventually collapsing in the floor in front of my best friend at church one night. She rushed me to the hospital . Mine was beyond any help, it was gangrenous (disgusting I know) and had to be removed before it spread. I don't regret (obviously) having it removed. That pain was horrendous!
  14. I agree! I think one of the best parts of 'middle age' is having seen my children reach adulthood, and receiving that most precious gift of grandchildren. Nothing sweeter sounding to me than hearing A.J say 'Memaw' . Realizing that I am my Mother, and hoping that I would have made her proud.
  15. Yeah, I've noticed from previous posts we seem to have a LOT in common !!! .
  16. OOps, You are right...and I stand corrected .
  17. Preach it !!! I'll be 44 in a little over a week. I've never dreaded a birthday. I cherish each year I have with my family/friends. I have learned to slow down, to say 'No' when I want to...if I don't enjoy it, I'm NOT doing it. In my younger years I tended to acquiesce much more than I am willing to now. I wouldn't want to be any younger or to have to repeat lessons of the past. I care much less about what people think/say about me. I think the whole mid-life crisis thing is a little taken out of context. I don't think it's a crisis, I think you just honestly get to a point where y
  18. HAHAHAHAHA Yes, that's the one. She gave us all a black eye with her crap. Unfortunately that is still the image in a lot of folk's minds when they seek out a reader.
  19. Yep, that makes sense. There are a lot of different systems for discerning information (even predictively) through numerology...which even your name and parents name can be broken down into. Letters can be converted to numbers, Kabbalah is even used. Every Hebrew letter represents a number. This is a very accurate method if the reader is adept . Even Tarot cards employ numerology.
  20. My question is are these readers using some type of oracle, or reading palms...etc. If so, I 100% believe if the reader is adept the information is usually correct. My issue is with the term 'psychic' because of the bad representations (for lack of a better word) historically. Remember Psychic Friends Network and that other lady, can't remember her name Madame or 'Sister' something.. It is a skill, an art form of sorts to read palms, cards, other oracles. It requires an open mind and use of intuition. When the word psychic is used it sort of limits who the skill is available to, and any
