  1. Would not recommend GBC. I used to be on staff there. My niece and nephew attended Youth Christian school my sister was extremely satisfied with them. Is homeschool an option for you?
  2. You will be fine. Just expect that it is going to hurt, but my philosophy is that it is an investment. This is permanent artwork on your body. It will be painful, and but it IS bearable. Otherwise those of us with multiple tats probably wouldn't get more than one . Also, be warned they ARE addictive. You'll know you have the 'bug' when you are already planning your next one by the time you leave the shop, lol. Some spots on the body hurt more than others. I have found that those on the right side of my body (my dominant side) are less painful than those on my left. But, that may ju
  3. Hahahahahaha! James would pause frequently during my 7 hour session to ensure I was alright. I finally said "Man, I've given birth twice...seriously, I'm cool" .
  4. Lol...I'm 44 . My daughter would love them as well, I can't wait to show them to her when she gets home. I just showed my hubby and he thought they were adorable, and he is 48 .
  5. Anything with mushrooms and onions in it is a winner in my book! YUMMY!
  6. Yes, and it is not too dry and not too sweet. A sweet wine is like a white zinfandel (also yummy), a dry one pinot grigio...which I hate. It's like taking a big moutful of dirt, lol. Also, calories for Merlot: My link
  7. I hate beer too, I like mixed drinks but my tolerance is really, really low. Yellow Tail is really good, and you can find it at any bottle shop...Target even carries it .
  8. Darn, it didn't make me register...let me try to post a pic. They had me at 'zombie', lol.
  9. I have ever seen in my entire life. MUST HAVE! My link
  10. Merlot is a red wine, and it is just a really soothing warming kind of wine. LOVE it. My link Cabernet Sauvignon is another really good one .
  11. Yummy, blackberry !!!! Thank you, I will. I really like 'Yellow Tail', it just has such a warm, woodsy-berry kind of aroma. Good for settling your stomach, too.
  12. A bottle of Merlot, lol. No seriously...after chasing the grandbaby around jump-4-joeys and lugging his heavy butt up that pirate ship *sigh* I am having a bottle of merlot . I've decided I am way too old for this, lol.
  13. HAHAHAHAHA! I loved the fact that he set her straight, I hope he kicked her butt out of the shop after that. Seriously, I HATE needles. My ears are only pierced once, yet my right arm is almost fully sleeved, I am tattooed on my right arm and both legs . Different kind of needle, lol. My longest sitting was for 7 hours, we only took cigarette breaks. *shrug* Tattoo pain is not that bad, not that it tickles or anything but it is bearable. My 44th birthday is at the end of October and I get to add to my ever growing tattoo collection. Woohoo .
  14. The last time I went to the fair was when my youngest (now 21) was a toddler. They let us get on a ride together that had no age/height restriction posted. My daughter was 4 at the time and she rode with another lady. I realized when they placed the bar and belt across us that my son wasn't strapped in as tightly as he should be. Just as I began to protest the guy started the ride. I spent the next few minutes holding onto him as we were flung around for dear life. I seriously thought he was going to slide under the bar a few times. If he had he would have been killed, no doubt about it
  15. Love, love LOVE Netflix!! Beside the fact that I generally get movies in my mail within two days of sending them in we also stream movies at home via our computers and PS3. Not a single complaint.
  16. Thanks, so is yours! Aren't grandbabies, just the best!!
  17. Awww...I need to post a pic of mine too! Let me see if I can figure this out A.J and he will be 3 on October 14th . I think I made it too big .
  18. Oh wait, and how could I forget... Violent Femmes ' The Violent Femmes' Yaz, 'Upstairs at Eric's' 10,000 Maniacs 'In My Tribe' I too, am old enough to have had vinyl on all of these except the most recent .
  19. Oh YEAH!! Flogging Molly 'Drunken Lullabies', AND 'Float' The Cure , 'The Head on the Door' The Sex Pistols 'Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols' Adam and the Ants 'Kings of the Wild Frontier' The B'52's 'Whammy!' The Clash, 'London Calling' R.E.M (in all honesty I have never heard an REM song I didn't love, but if I have to pick one it would be) 'Murmur' Green Day, same as above with R.E.M, but I love 'Dookie', American Idiot', and '21st Century Breakdown' Depeche Mode, 'Some Great Reward' Queen, 'Sheer Heart Attack, 'A Night at the Opera' and 'News of the World' St
  20. We are having a HUGE sidewalk sale on books at The Bookworm today! Parenting, Self Help, Christian and some Fiction. Hardbacks $2.00, and soft cover $1.00. Come on by and load up. We don't do this often but we have a huge overstock and need to move some inventory, so don't let this opportunity pass you by.
  21. Completely understandable. I have been registered as an Independent my entire life. But my leanings are strongly Libertarian. SMALL government, LARGE individual freedom. I am a proud, flaming liberal in the true sense of the world. People who want more government programs, care, etc. are not liberals and have been misclassified as such. It's become code for the big government type groups. This is the definition I adhere to: " Favorable to or in accord with concepts of maximum individual freedom possible, esp. as guaranteed by law and secured by governmental protection of civil liberties
