HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Arleigh, you will SUPER appreciate that in about 13 more years .

You said 'token' and not main character? Because I can think of a few where and African American is a main character...hmmmm, lemme think on this one.

Ray and Mitchell walk out to meet them if it is someone we don't know, lol. They figure that they do not want anyone getting a peek inside our house as to the layout, or whatever. If it's someone we know they just come around to the side door and beat on it . If the men aren't home and I am I just don't answer, and if anyone tried to shove their way in they would be in for quite a surprise. We are a fairly well armed household. Preparing for the zombie invasion and all .

Wasn't he an ice cream man?

I'm right outside of Paulding in Powder Springs, but I guess I grew up paranoid. We NEVER answered the door when I was a kid (70's) and I taught my children the same. If my husband is home, he's a huge bear of a man...or my 21 year old son they will actually walk out the door into the driveway to meet whomever has pulled in. Otherwise we do not answer the door.

I know the 'Tall Man' is from Phantasm (one of the only movies to ever scare me when it came out, lol) but for the life of me I cannot remember how old he was?? No takers on my question??

George Romeo's 'Night of the Living Dead'...and also in Tom Savini's (George's special effects master) remake of same movie . I AM the zombie queen. lol. What movie did Tom Savini make an appearance in as part of a roving group of biker thugs?

'The Queen's Pawn' by Christy English ...Based on the life of Eleanor of Aquitaine (married to King Henry II of England). It looks like a really interesting book, and this will be one of our first Historical Fiction author signings here at The Bookworm. I'm pretty excited, just thought I would share . October 16th, 12:00~2:00.

That's me btw...I forgot I was signed in under 'The Bookworm', lol.

I appreciate sunrises and sunsets. I LOVE looking at the moon in the night sky. I appreciate the smell and feel of a book, a fully loaded paintbrush, clay under my nails. I love to hear my grandson say 'Meyamaw' anything ...the smiles on my children's faces. The complete love and adoration of our menagerie of animals . I kind of approach everything with childlike wonder. Some think it makes me immature, I know it just makes me happy and keeps me young.

I do bring her up to the store (The Bookworm) with me occasionally. She can't lift many boxes, but she is good company . She's having her first 'heat' right now so I have her quarantined. Poor baby.

what have you had to explain to an older generation
RhondaW replied to Sadie612's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I worked at the Best Buy in Hiram for 2 years. You cannot imagine the questions we would get in there. I'm 44 so when I say older generation I mean late 60's~70ish. Everything from why you cannot use a blu-ray disc in a regular dvd player to the reasons why we no longer sell televisions with antennas. Also always fun to try to explain why you needed a computer to use a magic-jack . -
My son has used Randstad (sp)? They are a temp to perm agency and he was pleased with them.

Yes, no sharing tummy bugs. BUT I am cleaning and declaring chemical/bleach warfare on the house so I think I will inhale enough to destroy any viruses clinging on. I'll see you Monday .
-
At the Bookworm today. My stomach isn't happy with me this morning and just in case it is due to some random virus I think it's better if I am not breathing in your little one's faces. I will be back to facepainting week after next and for the remainder of October, however.

Agreed . I also know many people who had work done by Randy. He is missed in the community .

I totally saw it too, lol.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What, no penis tattoos??? Yeah, that's pretty high on my list of 'never haves', as well. lol I love Dragonflies too! My body is covered in 'sacred' for lack of a better word, art. I have representations of 3 of the 4 elements, some celtic work, etc. My next one is 'fire' so it will be a dragon . I will be adding it in early November. Pretty excited because like everyone else money has been tight and I haven't been able to get the work done for awhile.

(((Hugs))) SO sorry for your loss. I have not lost a sister, and I have two...but I lost my Mom very suddenly 7 years ago. Not a day goes by that I don't think of her, and sometimes more strongly than others. It is a wound that never heals, and I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that it was so unexpected. There was no time to 'prepare', hence no type of closure. When I play with my grandson, who she will never know and would have loved so much. When I hold my little Emma (mini Chi, she was such an animal lover) and I think how thrilled she would have been with her. Just so ma

I had to show it to my kids (24 and 21 both tattooed) tonight and they were both rolling with laughter .
