  1. Bookshelves, because more bookshelves=more books . Seriously, it is all I have asked for so hopefully I will get several .
  2. Nope. I give my holiday lovin' in person .
  3. Absolutely...Just as the various European nations they assimilated (somewhat) into did not care when their neighbors, friends, etc. were being taken and placed in ghettos or dragged screaming from their homes. Everyone turned a blind eye.
  4. Yummy...and zombies, I am thankful for zombies. I don't know why the McRib comment made me think of the undead. Sometimes it is just better to go with it and not question the 'why' .
  5. Personally, I think WWI and the eventual destruction of the German Empire was pretty damn just. But maybe that's just the Jew in me talking . No war is perfectly just ever, but I'm feeling that it was at least justified. My two cents, and thats about all it's worth.
  6. My Hubby, my children (and their health). My amazing grandson and his continued good health, my friends...four legged and otherwise . A roof over our head, food on our table and plenty of good books to read. Life is pretty sweet, even when it's not .
  7. I'm pre-menopause, and I'm assuming my 24 year old daughter is as well . I freaking love these cars, and as a general rule I hate cars. This is Britaini's dream car, aside from an actual 70's VW bus...she's a bit of a hippy, lol. I would drive it in a heartbeat .
  8. Pretty much...I've never in my life gone shopping on a 'Black Friday', and I am just thanking my lucky stars that this year I don't have to work one. I've been in retail for quite a few years...was at Best Buy for the previous 2 Black Fridays. People act like they have lost their mind. Last year some gigantic hulk of a guy literally, physically placed his hands on a co-worker and lifted her out of his way to get to a display. I don't care who you are, you have no business putting your hands on anyone . The majority of shoppers are courteous and kind but there are a few nuts in every cr
  9. I regularly visit there with my two. It was super funny a few weeks ago on our last visit. There was a cute little blonde sorority type girl standing in the back of the store telling her friend how 'scary' the store was. Here am I with my 44 year old heavily tattooed self...I smiled at her and said 'Hi', hoping to make her more comfortable. I kind of understood how she felt. I wouldn't step foot in an Abercrombie store, those people scare the sh*t out of me .
  10. I had the same problem...but I decided to go ahead and click 'white' so I could vote . We don't decorate for any holiday. I'm an oddball, I always hated 'trimming the tree' as a child, no good memories associated with it at all. Even though I like to see how other folks decorate we just don't do it ourselves.
  11. Yep, because we are awesome if I DO say so myself . We LOVE our customers, AND we appreciate your business!!!
  12. I LOVE reading threads . I have several going right now... Just for myself I am reading 'Quarantined' by Joe Mckinney For review for The Monster Librarian I am reading 'The Gargoyle Prophecies' by Christopher C. Payne, 'Do-Overs and Detours' by Steve Vernon, and 'A Host of Shadows' and 'Pain' by Harry Shannon. For our bookclub at The Bookworm I will be starting 'The Dante Club' by Matthew Pearl, tonight. I can never read just one novel at a time .
  13. Yep, I am a smoker. I tried these when 'gifted' from a former friend. They are fantastic. I do not/never have smoked in the house....car etc. I was able to partake anywhere, anytime. I did not even miss the real thing when I fully committed to the e-cigarette. My only problem is I no longer have contact with the person who provided me with the original, and was unable to find the replacement cartridges, etc. I do plan on trying them again after Christmas when I have the money to spare to buy a new set. I HIGHLY recommend them...I didn't have the 'joneses' at all for a real cigarette wh
  14. Tis alright girlfriend ...I love me some skinny twerps with eyeliner, lol. I'm a huge nerd, Adrien Brody also makes my list . My husband is a big, beautiful blue-eyed BEAR of a man. Go figure .
  15. Oh YEAH Girlfriend, I hear ya! AMAZINGLY talented, and stunningly beautiful to boot . Billie Joe is at the very top of my to-do list, lol. If ONLY . If you love Green Day... are you are familiar with FoxBoro Hot Tubs as well? It was a side project of the band and for a long time no one realized it actually is Green Day. More a throwback musically speaking to our childhood (60's) but just awesome, imho. I think it exhibits their versatility (and talent). Also, if you research 'The Network', it's another of their side projects...musically similar to Devo. I'll try to post this link
  16. Mike Rowe, pretty damn hot . My faves... I just think he is a beautiful man all the way around Swoon
  17. Mine are 24 and almost 22...they are super easy. All they want from me is tattoo money and books, lol. The 3 yr. old grandson is a little more difficult. His list includes a HUGE 'Sponge Bob Squarepants', a blue 'Stratocaster' guitar (not happening ), he's also obsessed with the Toy Story movie. He's over once a week and every visit he has added to his list...I haven't even begun to shop yet, lol.
  18. I absolutely love this show, the character development is awesome. The first ten minutes of the last episode had me in tears . You all do know it is based on a graphic novel series?
  19. We generally bring prepared dishes to my sister's home in Dallas. But, this year she is going to visit in-laws in KY. So, my daughter will work my Wednesday at The Bookworm and I will be home cooking up a massive feast for the 4 of us for Thursday. Taylor, Stephen and the grandbaby may stop by but I imagine they may be out running around other places. Loking forward to a peaceful family day. Lots of eating, and lots of reading time!
  20. I freaking HATE rain . Never fails to depress...
  21. Right is right and wrong is wrong. I did not read all of the responses to see the details. Ask yourself, is this how you raised the child (note I speak as a mother whose youngest is almost 22)? If not, let him make his own way. Roof over the head, etc, etc....he pays his own way now, or he will never learn. Imho,. Mind you, we have graduates from West Ga. who called us arrested, due to their own stupidity. We let them sit. I know of what I speak. Let them learn now, or they never will. Said children are now married, responsible, home owning adults.
