  1. So I had such good luck when I asked about bookcases... I am looking for a decent reading chair. I don't want to pay a fortune, secondhand is fine if it is in good shape. Accompanied by an ottoman would be ideal. I have 3 cats in the house, and I don't believe in decalwing . My current reading chair has been their favorite scratching post for quite awhile so it is time to replace it. I've checked a few furniture stores but I am looking for suggestions, recommendations, etc. TIA !!!!
  2. Rare to medium rare, just wipe it's arse and throw it on my plate .
  3. I was just yanking your chain anyway. Although I do absolutely love Tim Burton, I think he is pretty close to genius. He's a brilliant artist and I think because I am such a visual person his work speaks to me more than just about any other director I can think of. Storylines aside, he is brilliant in that respect.
  4. Oh yeah, I love Falling Down as well...and no you did not just combine the words Tim Burton and 'crap' in the same sentence. ANATHEMA, I tell you!
  5. My family My personal library My cats My dogs My toothbrush Edited to say take away the toothbrush...I'll improvise. I want to take Billie Joe Armstrong too, then I can have all the music and eye-candy I could ever want. No need for television/puter or cd's, lol.
  6. LOL, you sound a lot like me. I got 8 new ones for Christmas, already read two of them . I loved Tru Calling, it would have been fantastic if they had continued it. You should google it, if you haven't already. The writers were all disappointed at the cancellation and they blogged about what the third season would have begun to touch on. Turns out that maybe Tru's gift wasn't the good gift we all thought it was...and maybe Jason Priestly was right all along. The boyfriend that she brought back ended up coming back lacking something and turns into some crazy killer. Anyway, I was REALLY
  7. No, I haven't seen it. Too many people expressed their disappointment in it. I just love his films so much I don't want to be disappointed . Maybe one day I will check it out, but I love (and own) all of his other work.
  8. Oh yeah, I love Spirited Away. It's my favorite of Miyazaki's films .
  9. I think DH is picking some up. If we win my next postings will be from my secluded log cabin mountain home in Tenessee . Oh...and I will OWN the mountain, lol.
  10. Do you still need? I have some. I'm an artist...a canvas painter and sculptor, mostly Americana~Halloween art. I dabbled in making primitive raggedy dolls a few years back. I was quite good with making their bodies hand painting their faces etc. My Mom was helping in sewing their dresses. She was just beginning to teach me (I could do everything but that) when she was taken from us very suddenly. Point being, I have a lot of tea stained muslin, primitive fabrics, yarn etc. I can bring it with me to the Bookworm on Monday (I'll be there 10:00~6:00pm) if you want to come check it out and

  13. He doesn't but I would have absolutely no problem with it. If it was one of the alternative burlesque shows I would even go with him . We had discussed he and my son-in-law taking my son to one on his 21st birthday but it never panned out. Either way though, does not bother me.
  14. I bumped it to a 'plus one'

  16. I have to tell you I never had this problem with either of mine after they were babies. I can't be around/see/hear vomiting without vomiting myself. Seriously, I can't. Mine knew from the time they were 5 or so that if they puked somewhere other than the toilet they would have to clean it themselves. I wasn't being mean, I just seriously can't do it. Not once did they ever puke anywhere but the toilet. I feel for you, because I sure couldn't do it.
  17. Lol, I never had that thought from your original post . Too cute .
  18. I really would like to see it removed from the AG office. I believe it belongs in an art museum, but not a government office. It is a fine example of historic Americana and is a part of Georgian history. BUT (isn't there always a but), it's not a part of our history we are proud of. At least I hope not. That would be my main thought on it. Just my opinion .
  19. Only $5. It cost almost $1 to process it, so we have to be mean that way;o( All those reward programs banks offer come directly from the merchants pocket. I know our customers don't realize that but it is true. So sad for us.
  20. 3 Bookcases. New floor lamp with a reading light that works independently from the floor lamp to sit beside my reading chair. 3rd Season of 'Black Books'....LOVE Dylan Moran . $50.00 smackeroos towards a new (RED) reading chaise. A collectible Tarot deck with an image of Edgar Allan Poe as one of the court cards (too cool) . The collected works of Poe on audio cd as read by Vincent Price and Sir Basil Rathbone . A HUGE hardbound anthology of zombie stories that is so heavy it can be used to crack heads in the zombie apocalypse. Starbucks giftcard (for tea) Tazo tea, and a Jack Skellingt
  21. I have to agree, I am 44...Mom to an almost 22 year old and a 24 year old. I won't even drive after ONE drink. I practice what I preach and expect them to do the same. It's just not worth it. Thank god, they feel the same way about it that I do. People be careful out there this weekend, and next.
