Yay! I'm super excited that my exchange student will be here in just a few weeks!
-
I wish they wouldn't wait until morning to call it.

Do you think the kids will have school tomorrow?

OMG, I can't believe the commercial I just saw

It was after midnight when you saw it. Defiantly beyond acceptable kid-viewing hours. -

Teenagers. I'm not in that area, so I'll say a prayer for you and him. When he comes home, hug him before you kill him, okay? -
Recommendations or Suggestions for vacation to Las Vegas?

I'll be there next week I'll report back.....if I can -
People aren't embarassed to be bad at math. I can't even tell you the number of conferences I've participated in where I would try to offer solutions to help a kid only to have a parent excuse it by saying, "well, her dad and I were never that good at math either..." Like it's freaking genetic. However, if mom and dad weren't so good at reading, society would be all over helping their poor illiterate behinds....probably with a welfare check.

I don't like this thread. -
I'm more annoyed with my neighbor's truck, which shakes my house every.freaking.morning at 5am when he leaves for work than I am with them shooting guns in their back yards. They have the space back there and they would have to shoot through their house to get to mine.

I was in that hood not too long ago visiting an old friend. The house photoed is by far the best looking in that area. If you saw the other houses.... With that being said, is there an ordinance? IF so, I would support the county. If not, the county is SOL.

Justin Rowland Board of Education At Large

Starting off negatively doesn't bode well for getting what you're looking for. Just a thought. -
I worked with Mr. James for several years. He's legit.

I have impromptu math lessons in the middle of checkout lines. I tell my students (math class) every time it happens and I tell them that if they ever give me incorrect change because they cant add or subtract that I would public ally embarrass them. So far, so good. Society says it's okay to be bad at math.

8 weeks of summer vacation is plenty.

I feel like you made this correlation up. Coincidence? Sure. But definitely not cause and effect. Since there's a genetic link, it's not a stretch that more than one family member has it.

I don't know what remorse has to do with anything. Where was the girl while the dad was beating this man to death? Probably watching.
-
Catching him and killing him are two separate things. I'm certain the dad would be acquitted, but the DA still needs to consider minimal charges.
-
Manslaughter. Minimally. At what point was the threat to the child neutralized? Probably long before the guy was killed. I'm all for the DP for these sickos, but I'm also in favor of law and order.

Aww truck. How the the damn hell am I going to have a conversation with all of my mother trucking cheezehead friends in public now? (I chose this to be post number 15k, btw)

this is a classic ignorant southerner response.

Meh...it's on my list of things that should be legal. But since it's not, for shame!

I'm in the market for a 32" tv for the bedroom. Flat screen. Do you have one? (it's a bit of a drive for me to go out there just to check....lol)

So far I've learned that littering is okay on this section of the highway ($1000 fine anyone?), vandalism is okay so long as it's this sign (I'm sure there's a fine involved), and the Constitutionally protected rights of American citizens don't matter (the cost of this is immeasurable). I don't care who adopts a highway mile. I have done adoptions like this with various organizations and it's not an easy task to maintain the area, so more power to anyone who wants to take on the task.

I did a "self" install. My advice is to over estimate. We cut it a little too close. I think I ended up with like 5 boards left! I was pretty happy with LL. just went to the store (on Delk?), picked out my floor, placed an order, picked it up a week later. Edited because advise is different than advice.
