I was at the game in 1996 when they won gold. All these years later, I can't express what it felt like to hear the whole stadium sing our National Anthem during the medal ceremony.

Every good hooker is. -
This thread has nothing to do with bat's eyelashes. I was hoping it was time for a witch's brew. :/

You need to get some of those orange flags and mark the holes in the yard. I know around my house, I've had a quite a few sinkers pop up....and one rather large on in the back yard. You've inspired me to fill holes when the weather cools.

I bought a small Dell and connected it to my tv. I stream all kinds of things. I forget the model, but it's designed for this specific function.

Fees are killer. I'm sooo glad I'm through with school, for now. When I was looking at a doctoral program, the actual cost of 'tuition" was less than half of the $25K the degree would actually cost me.

I used to work at that Arbys. How sad.

This must be new. I've twice graduated from there.

She was very devoted to educating young people. She inspired me every time I read her story.

No one can forsee these type of events. I don't see any Hollywood liability. Just people looking for a reason, when there isn't one.
-
I doubt it. It may stop a random mugging or home invasion, sure, but not someone so intent on killing massive amounts of people. Their psychological states don't allow the level of reasoning you are describing.

I think its going to come out that people who may or may not have been carrying guns wasn't a factor. As well armed and suited up as the dude was, a typical handgun would have been damn near useless.

I was watching an evening news cast of this.....this town is just 15 miles from Columbine? What in the world is happening to Colorado?? My sister is at the theater now watching this movie. I never considered the danger before...

I replied to your PM. Chill out. My point was, that these things just didn't manifest themselves overnight. You KNEW the kids would be going back to school soon. You KNEW they would need clothes, etc. Why not buy a little at a time while it's on sale? I simply suggested that you plan ahead. And to answer your question, while I am employed, I am not currently on company time. I've already put in 20 UNPAID hours this week and I'll put in close to that next week. It's all part of the job. Send your child to school without supplies. Someone will pick
-
You should see the PM this person sent me....
-
Did you just threaten me and call me a terrorist via PM? Are you unemployed? Is it because of your temper?
-
There are PENNY supplies out there. PENNY. 1/100th of a dollar. It seems like I'd go after those items and gather what I can rather than handouts. Pride being what it is. Perhaps spending the last decade providing school supplies for other people's children has made me a bit bitter. The last part of your comment makes you a bigger asshole than me.

Polk County plane crash - pilot killed
workingforaliving replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Ugh. I remember the last time I followed an airplane crash thread on pcom. Little did I know that it was one of my best friends being reported on. I hope it's not your friend MsGaStorm -
Did "back to school" come as a surprise? It's an event that happens each year. Plan accordingly.

How are our babies growing up so fast and we haven't aged a day.

My baby is going to be in K. Wasn't she just born?

I posted in this old thread about tonight's show and someone else started a new topic. They got merged and the title changed.
