It's on now. WSB It's about Lynn Turner. -
does anyone else have elevated liver counts?
workingforaliving replied to NPCA's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Mine did too, just means no stones. I had to do some sort of nuclear scan...turned out mine wasn't doing anything....it was clear of stones, not functioning at all. -

workingforaliving replied to NPCA's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Mine were. Ended up having my liver biopsied (during a gallbladder surgery). I haven't had them tested since April. Ended up being minor inflammation. Dr said to lose weight and lower cholesterol. It caught me off guard since I'm young and thought I was relatively healthy. Get to a GI doc and get the gallbladder looked at. Mine started as stomach and back pain. Apparently it's a very common organ to malfunction. -

Volunteer host family needed in south Paulding high area

I snagged a spot at South. It would be nice to have more international students there. -
Is this a religious or political thread? I can't decide.....but I'm certain there's a forum for it that I haven't turned on.

The dad was able to escape before they torched the house, IIRC, they thought he was dead. -
Haha....I wasn't thinking. You're right. Still, an auditing dept would save millions......theoretically. (teaching at a "low incomee" school has made me jaded)

1 in 5 is much more sensational that 20%. We all know the program isn't used properly.

I watched ittwo weeks ago. It was pretty good. -
I shop at Publix almost exclusively and it really isn't that bad. I rarely buy things that aren't on sale. The produce and meats are top notch.....and I don't have to deal with half-dressed fatties. Besides loathing WM (I haven't been in ages), I rarely would come hme with only groceries. $ isn't the bottom line when I'm shopping for anything. I'd pay more for a better experience, but then again, I make sure my budget is flexible enough for it.

How were people notified of the new law? I've only seen it here.

Holy crap. I had no idea. I'm going to need to roll my change...... -
I lost my license last week while on vacation. I made sure to get my replacement submitted prior to July 1. I cut it close.

Ok, so what if the two had equal experience? Everyone starts careers with 0 experience, regardless of degrees, unless internships were required. This whole "experience over degrees" is bogus. That guy sitting there with 20 years had to work twice as hard.
-
Hoohaa, you're out of control. Step away and collect yourself.

I have 3 degrees. 3.0, 4.0, and 4.0. The last two as a single mother. The government would be supporting me if I would have settled for a 2 year. There is value in advanced degrees. It shows a certain level of commitment.

Supreme Court upholds key part of Arizona immigration law
workingforaliving replied to Georgia Dawg's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm thinking there's more than meets the eye here. The greater issue might be profiling. I can see legit US citizens (of a non-Caucasian persuasion) being harassed. This is where I take issue. -

This. When I'm in the US, a DL is enough. When I'm overseas, I carry my passport. Years ago, I even carried my military ID... Unless I'm trying to star in an episode of Locked Up Abroad. In which case, I live on the edge. -

My grandmother lives there...about an hour south of Vegas, just across the state line, so I won't be doing any of the "touristy" trips....we're going to do it the old fashioned (a la cheap) way. There are TONS of tours out of Vegas though....if you want the "real" GC (the national park side), then make sure your trip specifies SOUTH RIM. West rim will be cheaper, but it isn't as nice.....though it does have the skywalk. I don't think it's worth the trade off. I don't think you can go to the North Rim in October. Check out priceline for Vegas tour deals. May save you a couple of bucks. -

I'm planning on going to the Grand Canyon later this week while in AZ visiting family, but stupid fires may keep me away if they don't stay contained. I'm more than a little bummed. -

I did a diaper study through Delve. 6 weeks of free diapers. I just had to turn them I and document if they leaked.....plus they paid. I get emails from them occasionally, but they're kind of far so won't be worth it if it's not a big study.
