  1. Does this mean she won't be the topic of conversation on the entertainment shows? or is it going to get worse now?
  2. Sabon (I cna't spell it) gave a long speech and managed not to say anything at all. Big Mike is just alright.
  3. nm...different kind of hummer.
  4. I don't know how that would impact child support.
  5. Sounds about the same. I managed to get support....it was a fairly easy (though lengthy) process. There's an agency that takes care of it for you. Mine came back almost 2 years after that with a change of heart and I have to give up a lot of MY rights....even though I've been the only parent for my kid's whole life. I was blissfully ignorant while he was scheming with his wife. And believe me, I NEVER thought it would happpen to me.
  6. You don't have to defend yourself....but you do need to be aware that he can swoop in at any time with a lawyer and start demanding rights....and get them. This is the crap I'm dealing with now. There isn't anything you can do to be proactive about this, except allow him to sign away his rights (if he wants).
  7. I went through CSS for support and left the rest alone. 3 years later I'm battling for MY rights to my child. The whole system is trucked up.
  8. I've got a bottle of cherry flavored chilling in the freezer if you need it.
  9. I thought this was thread about an iPad
  10. A year removed from Idol and Adam is ready to be a mentor?
  11. I actually went on to get 3 degrees after my (not so) expensive trip to Paris....so I guess we celebrated a little too early....but considering my sister dropped out and my brother spent his "would be" graduation money on summer school and night school just to graduate, graduation for me (and my family) was a huge accomplishment. My parents were in a financial position to help pay for the trip, so they did. IF they wouldn't have been able to afford it, and sent me anyway, then there would be an isse (this is a problem I see often---credit only goes so far). Like several posters have said,
  12. Bummer! Maybe I can get there before May 2nd for my toddler to play in the children's area. We love going to look at the big dinobaurs and the exhibits are usually pretty good. I hope they bring back fun things like Grossology. THAT was a cool exhibit!
  13. I was planning on starting to shop for an SUV this summer....BUT my Crapolla Corolla isn't worth anywhere near what it was 6 months ago for trade in....so I'm stuck with it
  14. Considering that the graduation rate is dropping (I think it's in the 70s % somewhere), then YES, it is a huge accomplishment. There are families who expect their children to go to college.....basically consider it an extention of high school, 13th grade, etc.....but there are some families where the BEST anyone has done is a high school graduation. I teach kids now whose parents dropped out after the 8th grade and have told me that they were okay with their kid dropping out at 16 (because that's 2 years longer than mom and dad lasted). I'm the first EVER in my family to graduate from
  15. My parents paid for me to go to Paris, but not to college.
  16. I think you can redeem it online before that date and get the cards mailed to you.
  17. I don't think there is a right answer to this problem. Ultimately, you end up taking a leap of faith and trusting in a higher power helping you make the right decision.
  18. Ft. Pulaski and Cockspur Island is a pretty cool side trip and could easily consume a full day. There's also a picnic area for lunch. http://www.nps.gov/fopu/index.htm
  19. There are two Fernbanks: The Natural History Museum and the Science Center. The Natural History Museum is the one we went to and it tends to have the better exhibits.
  20. I went last year during spring break. I LOVE Fernbank! Parking was good (and free)....though a bit crowded----which was due to spring breakers. We took a 2 year old and a 7 year old...there was plenty to keep them (and the adults) interested. Great value.
