That doesn't look much different than the covertable seat she has now? Is it taller for bigger kids? I'd rather have her in the harness than the seatbelt. All of the website articles I'm seeing say that it's okay to move to the high-back booster seats when the child outgrows the front-facing carseat. I guess I'm just not comfortable with all of them appearing to use seatbelts rather than harnesses. So you have one that has the 5 point, but can later be used with a seatbelt? I would prefer to buy as few seats as possible....since they aren't cheap

This would be the most logical cut. I don't believe Paulding to be in as dire a situation as Haralson financially. Haralson really had no choice but to be drastic with their cuts. (Of course, I have nothing to base this off of except conversations with various people in both systems)

My daughter is in a convertable car seat and is starting to be too big for it (she's 3)....when should I consider moving her to the high-back booster seat? And do they only make ones (relatively cheap) that use the seatbelt instead of the harness? Is that okay? I don't want to move her too soon, but then again I don't know how much longer she'll stay comfortable if she keeps growing as fast as she has over the last 2 months!

my cousin is taking it tomorrow...probably in Cobb somewhere. His facebook status says he's too nervous to sleep. -
Either way, Toyota has a big mess on their hands. I drive a Toyota Corolla that is one year model older than the recalls and it makes me a little nervous. I had a Corolla before this one and hope that my next one is a Toyota. They are insanely lucky that they had the solid rep they did before all of this mess and I'm confident that they'll survive. Kia, Saturn, and other less reputable companies wouldn't survive this.

a friend of mine is a collections agent. He finds the people on facebook and friends them (he has an alternate male/female profile...not his personal one) or he sets up dates with them. I think his people are car-repo people and they're trying to find the cars more than the people.

Curious About Chiropractors?
workingforaliving replied to Legacy Family Chriopractic's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Do people often go for "wellness" visits? I've been way into homeopathic stuff lately and have seen several things mentioning chiropractic visits. Also, how much, if any, is generally covered by insurance? -
I need to run more errands, but I stopped at home to catch today's episode. I usually DVR it since I'm usually at work, but it's furlough friday.

There are students that NEED a one-on-one para in order to have equal access to the curriculum (physical disabilities, etc) and to remove them will be a violation of FEDERAL LAW....and that lawsuit would cost WAY more than that para's tiny salary... Though there are 2 paras at my school who sit in the back of classrooms (mine in particular) and do nothing. I'm certain that local churches and daycares would step up and offer programs.....or teachers who have the day off. I'd watch other people's kids (well, some of them) on my off days a hell of a lot cheaper than the day c

<snip>Yes I am ... I have a cousin that teaches at A Elemtary School in PC and for the first 2 week f the school year she didnt even have enough kids to teach because there wasnt enough kids in her school because they have built ANOTHER new one not far from where she has taught for 13 years .. AND YES I AM CONCERNED AT HOW MY CHILD GETS TAUGHT .. AND AGAIN THE SCHOOL WHERE SHE GOES IS A VERY GOOD SCHOOL ... http://www.haralson.k12.ga.us/<endsnip> When a school opens, it general opens under capacity and sometimes the district lines aren't properly drawn. It usually gets the kink

I wasn't living around here at the time and missed this.....what happened? -
I think if they start cutting them, they'll do split schools and be where they need to be at "essential" times---lunch for diabetics, etc...Many of the schools are clustered together so it wouldn't be *difficult*

And those kids who are forward thinking enough to realize this are going to succeed in spite of larger class sizes and a 4-day week. It's those that won't that concern me. True, but we're talking people who make $19-25K a year losing 20% of their income. Unfortunately, the lower income jobs are always the first to go. Federal stimulus money will be gone after next year (if memory is correct, it was a 2 year grant?) and MORE programs will fall to the wayside unless things turn around. Class sizes are already really high. If they're raised it won't be but by more than 1-2 students. I d
