  1. Seven Hills should have a security guard. I cannot figure out with that much money in the area, and that many houses, why they dont' pony up the money to get one. It'd cost like $50k for two guys to alternate, have one work 4 days on, 3 off, and vice versa, and have them work like noon to midnight. I used to deliver for dominos up there, and there were always alot of people who didn't live there up at the pool. I used to deliver to some of them.
  2. Oh, I thought it was mine.... Seriously though, if they'd make private waterfalls, you wouldn't need to do that at the public ones.
  3. I broke my little toe twice, and the first time the doctor looked at the toe, looked at me, said hold on, and yanked it straight. He told me to take some advil, and I'd be fine. The next time, my toe was about 60 degrees out of place, and all black, but I had no ins, so I ended up putting it back in place myself, and taking some advil. I had a heard time sleeping with that one, so I ended up using benadryl for a few days, but that didn't work, then I remembered that nyquil makes me sleep like 24 hours straight, so I started taking like quarter doses of those for a few days, and just dealt with
  4. That happened to my fiancee several times too. She went up on her lunch break every day for a week one time when our son's insurance went out, and he had just had ear tubes put in, and had like 3 appointments that week because of the issues he was having. She sat there every day for like 45 mins, and never did get to see the case worker that week. It really is something the state needs to do something about. They talk about doing customer service training, but obviously that hasn't reached caseworkers yet. I don't understand how they allow them to not answer phone calls, or see people tha
  5. I have no problem with people who like to ride to enjoy a nice day, but the crazy ones that weave, of the ones that decide that when there is traffic, they can just ride in between the two lines of cars so they don't have to stop like the rest of us, those are the bad ones.
  6. The last time I really had to get the medicaid reinstated, I had grandparents calling, I kept calling all day, and finally I got ahold of the receptionist and made a huge scene on the phone, and ended up talking to a supervisor who had no idea what was going on, and she managed to transfer me to my caseworker, who acted like she had no idea what I was talking about, or who I was. Totally clueless. And I second the thing about originals. I had to bring up some stuff for them to copy once, and they lost it between the window and the copy machine. DO NOT HAND OVER ORIGINALS. EVEN FOR ONE MINU
  7. They "lose" most of the stuff we mail back, then forget they were supposed to lose it, and go ahead and process it 3 months later. One time I got a phone call saying they had found a copy of my lease, and were wondering why I had faxed it, what case it was about, blah blah blah, I had faxed it over 6 months before, and had ended up having to take the copy up their directly, because they insisted my faxes werent arriving. Turns out they were, but the people kept setting the copies to the side, and the caseworker didn't bother to look. I don't expect them, at this moment, to actually be pro
  8. My personal favorite that I thought I would never have to say is "If you do that one more time..." usually referring to my youngest either turning off the tv, changing the channel, biting me, or throwing something at my head.
  9. Ours went to Rome as well, my fiancee got a call the next day, all they required her to do was fax her two most recent pay stubs, and we got the card in the mail the next week. Last time we applied with paulding we ended up giving up after 4 months of our local case worker never returning phone calls. Don't even get me started on trying to deal with them about our son's medicaid that's been cancelled like 6 times, for reasons that are still unknown(I think they just like harassing us), or them changing the case worker at least once per month. Paulding has, hands down, the worst public services
  10. I always just call *GSP, and they'll get in touch with the nearest unit regardless of agency usually. I had someone blow by me at about 100 on HWY 61 North one time(in a SUV lol), weaving by while going up a hill, and almost got creamed. They then took off even faster, so I called GSP, and they ended up having a bartow county sheriff waiting up at the county line for the guy. He was still going like a madman. More on point, I can't stand watching people ride crotch rockets, they usually drive like maniacs, and the weaving is insane. Not to mention the fatality rate from driving one of tho
  11. It's not really delayed as much anymore, they are handling some of the online apps from other offices by phone, and processing them fairly quickly. One of our friends applied in person, and by the time they got theirs, they had 1000 worth of stamps on their card.
  12. You need to call up and threaten to switch. That's massively overpaying.
  13. Hang up and call back. They are supposed to ask you what they can do to keep your services as a customer, though only a few actually do it. If they do say what that one rep said, you can also say, 3 days, and then call back and talk to someone else, and use the 3 days as leverage.
  14. My ex drama is horrible too. My issue though is that my pill popping ex has my son all the time, and I only get him once every other weekend. Even though she has child endangerment charges against her, I still can't get custody, because the judge in Floyd county says that "children should always be with their mothers"(direct quote, not kidding). She calls 8 times per day, whether I have him or not. When I answer, she never wants to put him on the phone, and when I don't answer, I get voicemails from him asking to talk to me. It's infuriating. Maybe we can get Obama to work on the messed up dfa
  15. My bill for Digital cable with HBO and the sports package, as well as the highest speed internet Comcast has is 60 per month. It's been that way for over a year. Every time they try to raise the price, I cancel, and then call back the next day, and tell them I'm only coming back if they give me the old deal back. It's always worked, and sometimes I managed to get them to lower the price back without even cancelling. In fact, I just got them to agree to locking the price in for another year. It's all about threatening to leave, and going to a competitor. I'd never use a satellite, I had one a f
  16. I've never lived anywhere where I heard of anyone being killed by a stray bullet fired by someone doing regular target practice, where the person was inside their own home. That being said, if one hit my house, I'd flip, and the cops would be out there pronto.
  17. I don't see any problem with people shooting their guns when you live in the county. That's half the point of living out there. There are no civilian ranges very close, and as long as their rounds aren't hitting your property, it's not really that big of a deal. If the noise is that bad, go over and ask them if they could try to limit it to either morning, or even, or just one day or the weekend.
  18. My old neighbors used to blair a boombox in our front yard (their back yard) at 9 o'clock at night all the time, with the volume all the way up. You could hear it in our kids rooms over their music we played to help them go to sleep. The dallas cops never did anything about it, even when they threatened us for asking them to turn it down. They told us until it was past 10, they would do nothing, and for us to get over it.
  19. Don't feel bad, that's the same response my brother and I both get from anywhere we put in applications.
  20. Chick fil a employee's always seems so fake though, it's painful.
  21. Mixing those pills, especially with alcohol, can cause the respiritory failure to happen. I've seen it happen too, which is why they really need to regulate it much more closely. I don't think anyone is saying that there is not a purpose for pain management, just that the majority of people that currently use it are actually abusing it, and that these clinics allow it to happen. I know for a fact that many of them do not drug test, because my ex's whole family that's over the age of 40(literally) goes to various ones, and get pills, and swap between them, or sell them. And almost a
  22. The problem with this is that high school students also work, and they don't need "a living wage." The intent of minimum wage was never that people actually try to live while making it. It's for people who are still dependants. Companies are supposed to realise this, and pay more for jobs that aren't filled by high school students. Unfortunately, especially in this economy, they don't, and don't have to. No, it's just too long, most people probably didn't read it all.
  23. Please, that's a token effort. Most of it goes on over the internet, and less than .5% of the activity is caught. And most of that isn't even prosecuted very aggressively. Some countries don't even let people sue over piracy, they just politely ask you not to do it, and then let you if you want to. Also, anyone that sells copied music and dvds at a flea market is just begging to get arrested. It'd be like stealing a car, and then putting it in your driveway with a for sale sign on it. It's just dumb. How they all don't get caught is amazing.
  24. I don't like knowing who does the voices on animated movies. I wish the actors would stay in the background, and not have their faces plastered everywhere. I want to watch a movie, not worship an overpaid actor. Normally I don't like the animated movies, this one looks good to me though (Who doesn't like movies with vikings and dragons?).
  25. Why do people steal cell phones? I don't get it. You can trace the numbers, and alot of them have gps nowadays anyhow. It's just stupid.
