  1. The one where I grew up is still in business, in fact the place has gotten nicer, and I'm told they still get the movies in within about a week of the other theatres, and the prices have only gone up to $4 from $2 when I was a kid. The whole movie business is a racket, and especially in these hard times, people don't have $30 to shell out for two people to go to a movie. That's what drives alot of the downloading of movies, and the people who just wait for it to go to redbox.
  2. Not totally true. They get some money from admissions, but make a real killing from the concession areas. However, what they don't realize is that if they didn't rip everyone off with $5 drinks, then more people would actually buy the concessions. If you want proof that they don't give up all the admissions money, just look at the price disparity between theatres. While we don't have a cheap theatre around here, $3 and $4 movies do still exist some places, and they manage to survive just fine. Some even have decent prices on their concessions, which leads people to actually buy them.
  3. Awesome. Now they just need to launch about 1 million more airstrikes this week, and maybe they'll get some peace. The fact is that the "Palestinians" will never stop, will not honor peace accords, and therefore, peace cannot be attained until they are given such a serious ass kicking that they wake the hell up.
  4. My ex's family would always want to eat there every time they'd go out, it was so nasty. Even the bread is gross. When I lived there it was always packed, I heard a few good things about it, but I'm not a big seafood person, so I never went. There really isn't much in Rome that is just so good that you HAVE to go there.
  5. Schroeders is mediocre. Harvest Moon is very good. Jefferson's is definetly better than Schroeders. If you really get desperate, head to Sonny's. Oh, and avoid that diner in front of the mall, it's horrible.
  6. We avoid it, usually we go to a different one. That one is horrible, almost as bad as the cartersville walmart. The parking lot at cartersville is worse than most in Atlanta.
  7. I pay 62 a month for HD cable, the highest speed internet, HBO and the sports package. I just call up and threaten to switch when they raise my bill, and sooner or later they always change it back to the current promo. I've had it about two years now, and if they raise it and won't take it back down, then I will switch, or just cut it off, and then call back and keep asking for specials. It's all about negotiating with comcast.
  8. lol, even Jaws used to be PG. Most people don't understand what the rating system really means.
  9. I know someone who has one for verizon. It only works like half of the time though, but they need it, without it they have no reception at all.
  10. Follow them back to the nest, and eradicate it the old fashion way, or else put out the traps mentioned in the above post.
  11. If electricity hits your house or the power lines it can travel, which is why you should use surge protector. My grandpa had it hit his shed once, shatter the window, and fry out all the electrical stuff inside it.
  12. Prices on all computers have gone down alot lately. I remember back when I was graduating high school I wanted a nice pc to last me all the way through college, and keep up with the latest gaming stuff. I ended up putting it together myself, and saved like 50%, but it still cost me like $1000. Nowadays I could build a good gaming pc for less than half of that, and can buy one already assembled for like $600.
  13. I don't think they are shiners, if they are, they are easily the largest I've ever seen. They don't look like crappy either. Honestly, the closest thing I've ever seen to them are blueback herring, which some people use as bait and then release. But I've only seen one large on in there, but it's gotta be 12" in length. Thanks for the help.
  14. I'm trying to figure out what to fish for in each pond at White Oak Park. From what I can tell, there are mostly bream in the first pond, I heard there were catfish in the second, though I can't get them to bite, and the third looks like bream and a few bass, as well as a few odd looking black fish that I am at a loss about. Anyone know what all is in which? And what the black fish is? It's longer and thinner than a bream, but not as large as a bass, and is pure black. I haven't been able to get it to bite on anything..
  15. I've used both, and I prefer pc's. Mainly because most software out there is made for pc, and, at least last time I checked, couldn't be installed on both systems. Mac is still a tiny percentage of the market, and unless you have a particular reason for going to a Mac, like your work requires it, or unless you literally are only going to surf the internet, then I don't really see the point in switching, and throwing away all the software you've ever bought.
  16. I haven't been able to get even fast food to call me back for quite a while. It's incredibly depressing. Good luck to you.
  17. Shawshank Redemption Legends of the Fall Last of the Mohicans Boondock Saints Fight Club Mystic River Lords of War Lonesome Dove (be ready for like 6 hours) Momento Monty Python and the Holy Grail Saving Private Ryan Good Will Hunting Public Enemies A Time to Kill Pans Labyrinth Green Mile Gran Torino Gladiator Unforgiven The Village (M. Night Shamalan) Million Dollar Baby V for Vendetta The Princess Bride Changeling Benjamin Button All are recommendations for adults, I'm not going to even bother to try to pick out which few are ok for kids. If you want more sug
  18. ...wow... I had never heard of the guy before I saw the video, and neither had Jessica (she literally knows and cares nothing about politics), and both of us can tell he was being literal. If he wanted to talk about environmental impact, then he wouldn't have said "AND also things like the environment". That means he was talking about two seperate issues. I realize that you like the guy, and don't to come to grips with the fact that he really was worried that Guam might "tip over and uhhh ... capsize....."
  19. It occurs to me that there is probably alot more to this.
  20. Yes, but no muslims have tried to blow up marietta square, as far as I know.
  21. I hate the signs on the sides of the roads, except the ones in people's yards. I haven't gotten any pamphlets, and never have, but that would be the best thing to send me, I'd actually read them, and would appreciate someone giving out more than just their name in exchange for asking for my vote.
