I don't know what damage has been done to what schools, but read where there was 500,000,00 done to the schools. Don't know the reason for the closings, boiled water, damage, or roads damage, I do know my grandson wants to go to school... he is in kiidergarden, and he has a monthly homework sheet, and we have been usiing this and playing school this week, he misses his usual regiment... I do know the county has taken a hit from this rain that was bad, roads were washed out, thing crashing, and evidently damage to schools, I am not sure the reason for the school closings probably various.

OFFICIAL NOTICE: NO PLAN TO CUT OFF WATER (EVER)
cherokeewoman replied to gpatt0n's topic in Paulding County NEWS
Thanks Pubby. rumors are abound, espically at the grocery store you hear clerks and patrons talking about water being shut off, these stores have sold a lot of water, of course with the boil water issue, that helps too, but rumors are abound, thanks -
I am sure the BOE has to take it a day at the time, looking at the road conditions and what the water situation is.... I am sure they are just not gonna close the schools till next week just because..... they will not put the safety of the kids in jeopordy, but I know they will take it a day at the time.

8:09 p.m. Damages to the roads, bridges and culverts in Paulding County will likely cost $12 million to repair, according to early estimates. County buildings and parks sustained another $1 million worth of damages, according to Pat Tibbitts, executive assistant to the county's board of commissioners. Water damage to the county's schools is estimated at around $500,000. Five damage crews surveyed the damage Tuesday to compile the estimates. The damage estimates, once finalized, will be sent to GEMA officials, according to Michael Jones, county administrator. This is sad, I hope we can get

School Closed for tomorrow- Sept 23 Wed (merged)
cherokeewoman replied to Baileybleu's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Paulding School closing was on the channel 11 web site today, reported at 3pm, you can probably check the tv stations and find out... For the next day I would guess it would depend on the roads, the flooding and the boil water issue, the BOE will have to take it day by day... -
I emailed them, they said it would be next week before it came back. They are working on a digital tower and because of the weather and wind they have had problems... the guys are working 1000 ft up...... my question was why did you wait to do all this stuff, how long have we heard about digital? Had no problems until they started this work, my sister in Cobb has no problems...hopefully next week, but it rained all week this week so who knows? They did this just in time for the new tv season, what good timing.

Dallas big foot - i went thru this flea thing earlier..... you may have to spray your house a couple of times, the breeding for fleas is bad. I sprayed several time with spray that had a flea inhibitor, it was suppose to kill the fleas, larvae, eggs, and pulp.... Adams is a good spray - Vacum/mop every day and do not leave the thing in the vacum- if you have a bag throw it away... if it is a bagles vacum = empty it outside....(put a flea collor in it) I had always used frontline but this year it did not work, had to put my dogs on comforits a monthly pill, and we I think have finally gotten

Subby - Toaster ovens are great, you can do so much with them without heating up the house. They do good frozen biscuits, better than the oven.... They take up counter space, but they have so many options. They get things a little more crispy than the oven. We use one all the time in the camper.

I don't use self check out... you go to a store buy their goods and you have to check your self out, I don't think so.... they should provide the service.

? re restaurant in New Hope with a Meaty Irish name
cherokeewoman replied to juleebella's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yes O Brady's closed leaving all employees high and dry..... it use to be a great place to go before the last owners took over, I don't think they were interested in running a place... there were employees that had served them will for 5 years or so and did great service.... Tess.... don't know what you are talking about, I always got good service there(except for the newbies that the new owners hired) I can guarantee there were not teens behind the bar..... there were a few that served that place well, and probably kept it going..... and they are out in the cold. The workers can't help w -
