Well I went down and got this all cleared up. The folks at the Paulding County registrars office were very nice and professional. They've been getting a lot of people coming in upset with these letters. The media makes this sound like everyone is "just fine" and understanding with the letters when they are sent to the wrong people, but obviously that's not always the case. I have never had a problem with showing proof of citizenship when requested in the right situation. This is NOT that situation. I had my license renewed a month ago with no problems. My problem is that the government, no matter what arm, seems to always target the wrong person. I'm not anti-bicycle by any means. I ride a mountain bike when I can, but I choose to go to some of the local trails. I really liked Dennis Hopper's work and loved him in Apocalypse Now. He had a way of being very animated in his acting that added a sense of interest to any movie he took part in during his career. I'm glad this was posted. I was on the phone yesterday with a customer service representative and she asked me if I was excited about the holiday.
