  1. I'm sure you aren't the only man... Just like I'm sure I'm not the only one who turns the station when it comes on...
  2. Welcome! I'm Lauren and have two boys and am pregnant with my third.
  3. Been awake for an hour...jogged a pregnant mile this morning and now I'm off to shower and get my son to prek!
  4. The ones I make were recommended to me by a friend...they are from a website and are seriously one of the best things I've ever eaten. Everyone that reviews them absolutely loves them...course, there are the few oddballs that don't like them, but they are just GREAT and DH can't get enough of them. I can sit there and eat them for days...mmm....fattening as heck, though. Lol. If you ever want to try those, PM me and I'll give you the site address...I don't want too many people knowing how to make my secret love weapons.
  5. Well, I was going to make steak and onion sandwiches on toasted hoagie buns (seriously good!), but DH really just wanted hot dogs with chili because he didn't want to wait...takes a long time to make the steak sandwiches.
  6. I think it's sad people are assuming that Kandi's mother was right to dislike him, etc. No one on here knew him and shouldn't assume anything about him. I never watched the show until last week when a marathon was on. My friend has been hounding me to watch it. I have seen nearly every episode now, and I have to say that I don't know him, but he seemed to treat Kandi very well...and was also very loving toward her daughter. That may all have been for show, but we don't know that. I just want to know what people expect from him. He has 6 children and in his eyes...he probably saw the only way t
  7. Did she talk to him through a glass door? I would have given him a day and time to come back and then had the police waiting. LOL.
  8. Wow, Devon...I guess I know what kid you are talking about, right? That is just disturbing! That's exactly why I don't leave Gavin outside alone unless I'm watching him from the kitchen window or he's with someone else or K and J are outside. SCARY! When I was little, someone tried to get me too. He is *so* lucky he didn't get in the car! I think Gavin would have...sadly.
  9. I don't think you are overprotective at all. I am not anti-vaccine at all, but Gardasil is definitely not something my daughter (if this baby is a girl), OR SONS (they want to offer it to boys) will be taking.
  10. Short term, I'd say about $1,000. If I'm thinking long term goals, I would honestly say about $25k. Yes, that much! Because that is how much we will probably need to get out of our house. I am ready to move and I don't see that happening any time soon. Sucks. And that would cover debt as well.
  11. Wish I could drink it...it's been hot chocolate for me lately due to baby. Am I the only one that appreciates QT coffee? I LOVE QT coffee and cappuccino. My husband got me hooked on it. I get the french vanilla.
  12. Congratulations! Is this your first? Edited...nm, took a look at your profile CONGRATS!
  13. ^^^^^ Yep, that's the recipe! In my opinion, though, I like it better without the butter. But that is because I'm a TRUE tomato lover. Tomatoes are my FAVORITE food. Seriously, sliced tomatoes...I could eat them for all three meals for the rest of my life. But try it with the butter first as she does it and see if you like it that way. I still loved it, but I made it the other day without the butter and liked it better. Made it again about 10 minutes later.
  14. GREAT! I just had to watch the video and now I'm sitting here bawling like a baby...
  15. That is funny you posted that. My DH and I were just dating when I got pregnant with my first. He was scared and a little on the upset side. One time while driving to visit me that song came on and he had to pull over...he was crying so hard! BTW, CONGRATULATIONS! I was right! Woohoo! Do we get a prize?
  16. I watch her show a lot, but I've only made one recipe. It was parmesan tomatoes. It was good! :-p I tend not to make recipes with a ton of ingredients or a lot of steps and a lot of hers seem that way. I am a SIMPLE GAL! That is so true...I always ate fattening stuff growing up and I was really thin. I think the key is pulling the kids away from the video games and tv and sending them outside to play or anything besides sitting around.
  17. I hear you on that...ours were $800 when we moved in four years ago. Now they are $1,350 something. Something is WRONG with that picture to me!
  18. That was a stupid comment she made anyway...parents KNOW when their children are overweight or are gaining too much weight. It is their decision, not Paula's, to continue feeding them fatty foods, but that isn't always the reason for obesity anyways! Anyway, if I take my child to McDonald's and order him a Happy Meal, that is MY decision, NOT McDonald's. It is up to parents who buy this cookbook to decide how often they will cook from it. Paula had a good point...they aren't going to eat like that ALL the time.
  19. I saw her online just a bit ago, but she didn't post...maybe she got busy!
  20. Maybe she is out shopping for boy stuff!!!!!!
  21. Carbonara...it's spaghetti noodles, cheese, green onions, bacon grease (gotta love that! ), egg yolks, mushrooms, and crumbled bacon. I looove carbonara! It's so good.
  22. I had the same problem with both of my last pregnancies. Until I hit about 5 1/2 months I lost weight or just didn't gain anything. My doctor told me that it was okay and that it would catch up with me. It definitely did...while I only gained 18 or 19 lbs with my first and less than 25 with my second (not sure of the exact number, but it wasn't more than 25), it was pretty much all in the last 3 months. Since she recently had a sonogram and the baby is growing properly, there probably is not a huge issue to deal with. Another thing to keep in mind is whether or not she was overwei
  23. I really go overboard on Christmas. Last year I bought a playground ($600) and then spent another probably $400 on other toys for my two boys. The sad thing is that my oldest is spoiled rotten and came downstairs Christmas morning and said, "Aww...Santa didn't bring me a lot of presents." Of course, he perked up once he saw the playground, but still...he still got a lot of stuff without the playground. As much as I spent last year...I really spent a lot less than I normally do. We have WAY too many toys, though, and now that I know my son's pattern with toys very well I will p
  24. No fair! Lol, jk! As long as you come back at some point today and tell us...that's good enough for me.
