  1. Yeah, I hate those! But I think the your/you're usage irritates me more.
  2. Considering the fact that I see teachers and professors often making the period/comma error, I'd say it's a safe bet most are taught that way. So period/comma on the outside away!
  3. I actually don't care...just thought I'd point it out since everyone is trying to be on top of the errors of others.
  4. How about punctuation errors? Periods and commas are always inside of quotes...no exceptions. So, it would be: 'sale,' Just saying!
  5. I'm only glad it's out so I don't have to sit in the awful carpool line at the preschool. No matter what time I get there it seems to always be 20 minutes, and with a baby crying that can seem like forever!
  6. Well, we have been pretty lucky other than our crawl space filling with about 6 inches of water. I wasn't surprised because it always fills a little when it rains for an extended period of time or rains really hard. But I was really worried with all of the rain and the expectation that it will continue to rain the entire week. I prayed to God that it wouldn't flood out into our office (which is a finished half of the garage) and garage. Well, God answered my prayer! Hubbie found a sump pump AND hose on some shelves above our washer and dryer. They are from the previous owner and we have
  7. LOL! That's so cute. I'm right there with you. I joked about sending hubbie to work with some floaties or a life jacket. He works in Marietta, so I have no idea how his commute will be Wednesday night. You never know!!! Floaties could save some lives. Maybe we should stock them from now on.
  8. Sweet and spicy chicken drumsticks, sweet potato fries (never had them before...making them for the first time!), and some other side. Yes, I'm making dinner very late tonight. Hey, I'm pregnant.
  9. I have a 14-month-old and he will be 21 months when my baby is born too. YIKES! I'm scared. Lol. Congratulations to your fam
  10. Well, he only works three days per week and tonight he doesn't go in :-D But I'm pregnant and exhausted so I may have to ask him tomorrow if he doesn't get up tonight before I go to bed!
  11. That sucks! He may just know it...I mean, I really have no idea, but he is a genius with computers. I will ask him if he gets up any time soon before I go to bed. He works nights, so our schedules clash.
  12. My husband is a Linux/Unix Sys Admin, but I don't know if he would know about what you are asking...he's asleep right now or I would ask. Did you try Googling it?
  13. I'm hoping for a girl this time too. After two boys and a husband child (lol), it is about time for another girl to rule in the house!
  14. I've heard lots of good things about the Goodwills in east Cobb, so I may have to check this one out. I normally do not buy used clothes, though, because I find eBay is a great place to get new stuff for cheap and also stores like Ross, Marshalls, etc have stuff very cheap... I have heard some Goodwill stores let you buy by the pound and others charge a flat rate per item category. Anyone know how this one works?
  15. It said all three of mine are girls. Of course, I don't know what this one is, but my other two are most definitely all boy! :-)
  16. That is really strange! How bold of them... A couple of weeks ago there was a lady at the RaceTrac in Hiram who came up to me and said she had no money and asked if I would make up the difference for her to get gas. She had like $2 apparently given to her by some other customers. I gave her like $2 in cash but refused to use my card for her (she didn't ask me to, but I just said it wasn't my card...in fact it had my husband's name on it). She said thanks for what I gave her and started to walk away. I asked if she was okay because she appeared to be 8 or 9 months pregnant. She said she ju
  17. I told you, Devon...my children are DOOMED to a life of poverty. Lol...but if you ever want that third kid, just let me know and Gavin is yours!!!
  18. Thanks so much!!! It's nice to hear from someone with experience. I am feeling a lot better about my choice, especially after talking more with the director today after making my decision. She assured me the playground, etc will be done in December, or should be. We have a playground at home, though, so that isn't a major issue, but I was unaware that they had time in the gym to play. So that makes me feel better, too! I think we will be happy there, and I think we will get our money's worth. Thanks a lot...now I am just sad to see him start school. I really didn't think I was going to p
  19. Thanks for all of your input. I think I have decided to go with First United Methodist after viewing both the schools. Even though FB "looked better," I feel the curriculum would not challenge him as much as what the director told me of UM. I was told by an instructor that much of FB is learning letter names and sounds, and he is already past that...I also did not like that there are 17 kids per class. I like the smaller class size at UM. Thanks all...I could tell FB was a good school, just not for us this time. Maybe kindergarten!
  20. First United Methodist is 135/month and First Baptist is 140/month. So $5 difference and UM goes for an extra hour. Is the lunch bunch/play extra?? How much? I am definitely confident that First Baptist is a good choice with all of these great reviews! I'm just torn because I know nothing about UM...I haven't been able to find posts about whether people like it or not, or anything about it. I don't know if that is a good thing.......the lady did explain the program to me and it sounds great...she said they have field trips and have people come in and visit (like a fireman), etc.
  21. United Methodist just called and they have a spot for my son, so now I am TORN! Has no one known anyone to go to UM???
  22. Oh, forgot to ask...do they do nap, snack/lunch? I would hope not...since it is only 3 hours.
  23. I didn't plan on putting my son in pre-k, but last week I changed my mind and called both United Methodist in downtown Dallas and First Baptist. UM was honestly my first choice just because it is an hour longer, but I was put on waiting lists for both. Today First Baptist called me and said they would accept my son into the program. I was excited...I honestly didn't think he'd get in being that I have heard waiting lists are super long. Tomorrow I am supposed to go and register him. I think the price is more than reasonable, but I was wondering if anyone can tell me more about their expe
