  1. The amount of mercury in vaccines is nearly the same amount contained in a can of tuna. I'm not a fan of some of the ingredients used in vaccines, but I do believe in vaccines. As of yet, the flu has been fairly mild, but since it is behaving differently and normally attacks the lungs first, that is why many professionals are concerned. But yes, everyone needs to make their own decisions regarding this...
  2. I paid $10 for a small bottle once. Would not buy it again. I love fruits and veggies, but I didn't enjoy drinking it at all. It is very tart and not something I could drink a large gulp of. It took me several days to finish the bottle. BTW, I have a strong stomach...I can drink vinegar with no problem. But I just don't like pomegranate juice. Maybe if it were mixed with another fruit juice...
  3. FLASH. FLASH. FLASH. My husband asked me if I wanted to watch the second episode of Flashback....
  4. It's FLASH Forward, y'all! Just saying. And it's a great show! Though, according to my husband it is Flash to the Past, Flash Fast, Blast Forward. He can't get it right, either. Lol.
  5. http://www.mlnlaw.com/2009/08/top-10-worst...nies-in-us.html Check out number 1. Lol. I wouldn't settle for that!
  6. Yeah, I know! I am more than fine with that. It is because the FluMist contains live virus, whereas the vaccine does not. I can't wait for the vaccine...I'm tired of worrying about getting it. I think worrying all winter or until I have the baby is a lot worse than just taking the chance with the vaccine. A new vaccine is created every year for the different strain of seasonal flu, and the H1N1 vaccine is made exactly the same way. I understand the reservations people have and would not try to sway anyone (I mean, I totally felt the same way a few weeks ago!), but after reading real fact
  7. Well, I'll just be getting the vaccine. Nearly 40,000 people have been vaccinated in China already and only 4 have had side effects, which were only mild muscle cramps and headache. I'm pregnant, so not taking any chances with natural stuff as it may not work and H1N1 is really hitting us pregnant girls pretty hard. I was really against the vaccine at first, but I have done a lot more research and will be getting it now. And for my kids, too. Next year I may choose not to...I think we will all have a better idea of what to do next year without wondering "what if" I didn't or did get it.
  8. Well, I am indifferent on the doll itself. I liked American Girl dolls when I was younger, though I do think this one is a bit odd and I don't think it sends the message that American Girl probably intended. The doll doesn't even remotely look as if she lives in a car. On price, I think $100 is fair. It's a collectible, but also a plaything. I used to collect Lee Middleton, My Twinn dolls (they make them to look like you), Ashton Drakes, and I also made my own porcelain dolls. Perhaps that is why I think the price is fair, but I was a real doll lover as a kid. My most expensive doll was $700,
  9. I so agree with you on that...I used to work there and am not proud of it! I don't care how many balloons or crayons I gave out...just didn't seem right. People can say it's family friendly all they want, but those people are probably clueless as to the propositioning that goes on in Hooters at any given time. I'm pretty sure most large chains will sing and bring out cake if you want. Just have to ask them!
  10. Well, it wasn't too hot today...I'd still drink it.
  11. Actually, we decided to scratch me making dinner...we got a Ruby Tuesday coupon and will be using it
  12. I swear, pregnancy really DOES make you lose your mind! It is good! Anything my husband will eat twice is a very good sign...he's the pickiest eater in the world! It sounds a lot like what the PP posted how she makes hers. You just brown it and throw it in with the liquids, etc. Very good!
  13. Yes, that it must be. They also stand outside and take orders with the walkie talkies sometimes to speed things up. Sure makes things quicker!
  14. Man...I'm having major pregnancy brain. Here is *my* crockpot cube steak recipe...well, not mine, but you know what I mean. Lol. As said in my post above, it's not a crockpot recipe by the poster's suggestions, but the first reviewer MACLEOD26 gave instructions on how to do it in the crockpot. That's what I did, and I won't try it the regular way. It's a really good crockpot cube steak. It doesn't taste like Salisbury steak at all to me, but that's what it's called... http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Sorta-Salisbu...eak/Detail.aspx
  15. I am making it tomorrow...here is a great recipe. It's not a crockpot recipe, but the first reviewer does it in the crockpot. MACLEOD26...follow her recommendation. I did it her way the first time I made it. It was really good...made a side of steamed fancy grean beans and mashed potatoes. Yummy!
  16. I'm either making homemade french bread pizza, or we'll have leftover steak and onion sandwiches from last night.
  17. LOL. I may have some big buns after this one. HA! I hope I am as lucky this time around as I was the last two time...it seems it's always the third babies that you don't "recover" from, according to what I hear other moms say. I'm scared...
  18. Maybe that's what it is... I will change it ThreeKidsandnoBun next time! And hide who I am and not show the world the real me.
  19. Really? When I changed mine, it said once every year. Hmm... And thanks, Kelly...
  20. I cry about everything...I try to stay away from tear-jerkers.
  21. Not if I can help it I'm going to force it to stay in!
  22. You reminded me that I HATED my other name...lol.
  23. Formerly LaurBar...I hate LaurBar. What the heck was I thinking? My name is Lauren and my teenage sister calls me LaurBar...yuck, I hate it. So I hopped on the name change bandwagon......
