    Help!

Try a hot tottie or three. If those don't work, go to the doctor and see if he'll give you a shot of antibiotics. I have been sick a lot this winter. Twice I had to go to the doc for it - I had to get a shot of antibiotics, a shot of steroids, an Rx for antibiotics, and a syrup for pain (achiness). Those two times I didn't drink the totties and sleep it off. Sorry - I usually don't get sick - ever. Once years ago when my roomate made me the drinks, and then this past winter. I have been sick about 5 times since November. So, that is what works for me.

    IRS Joke

I just totally laughed my butt off at that! Thanks! (and I am going to share with my e-mail list )
  3. Hugs to you, honey... Wait until you hear what the doc says. Like they said, there are diffrent stages of cancer and different types of tumors. For now, just pray and don't fret. Let us know how it goes - we will all be praying for you and your family. And, we'll be here if and when you need us.
  4. I am sorry this happened to you. I really, really hope it's not a BB. Then that way you don't have to worry about it. Although, I will say this. We have moved some stuff out of the attic into the garage. So, we have been barking in our driveway. About a week ago, my husband noticed some dings in his car, driver's side rear side panel and driver's side back passenger door. Well, we couldn't explain it, other than maybe the wind kicked up during a rain recently, or he'd driven thru some construction. Nope. Today, we were out front (which is rare lately) and noticed some little orange things
  5. I guess I don't pay much attention. I don't know why I thought it was 8%. I just knew it wasn't enough difference to make me drive further to shop. I do hate dealing with the traffic on 278, though. But, we've found a side road that dumps us on 92 behind WalMart, then we cross over behind the HoDe. It works out well.
  6. That's too funny. We were just talking about how we also "live on the wild side" LOL. You and J are so MrB & I. That is us on a Friday night here lately. Since a couple of you asked, here's the recipe for Greek Meatballs. This is a recipe from my Grandpa, and now my Mom makes it. It's something Grandpa made up when they were living in Greece and it is soooo yummy. I promise you, though...my mom's are and my Grandpa's were so much better than mine. Mom said she's been stickin' her finger in it since she was a kid, so that's why I don't think it's as good when I make it. And they always
  7. Hey UnionMom! CC's video is about how to get schools involved in collecting food for the Helping Hands food bank, in a nutshell. Here is my thought: Many years ago (LOL - about 11) I was on student council core group in high school. It may be different now, but back then the idea was introduced to the principal who then went to the student council sponser (teacher) who then presented it to the core council. Like I said, it may be different here and now. But, I still think going to the principal with this idea for a student council project would be good. B/c then they take it to the stu
  8. We are having greek meatballs in a white wine sauce over rice pilaf, a salad, a big hunk of feta cheese, and some crusty bread. What you guys having?
  9. Yikes He's not paying $2320.00! He did put away some money for a certain pair, and finally went and got them at Horsetown. He loves them (and I think he's HAWT in them LOL):
  10. This is the one near Woodstocky my husband was talking about: Horsetown. All of his are Lucchese, Black Jack, and one other brand. Black Jack are his favorite. This what my Lucchese look like, but the leather is different. I think mine might be ostrich, as they appear and feel much softer. EDITED b/c of my spelling error, but I think I'll leave it b/c Woodstocky cracks me up LOL
  11. Now, what would make you say something like that?
  12. I've got a pair of JB Dillion my husband bought up in Nashville for me. Then, I have a pair of Lucchese I got from High Plains in Marietta. The JB Dillions are goat skin, but I can't remember the other ones. Just that the Lucchese are super soft leather and the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. My husband found a place near Woodstock, but I can't remember what it's called. He has five pairs now. I will ask him tonight and let you know. We love our cowboy boots!
  13. I shall be your co-taster
  14. Oh. Gotcha, though. The Savannah area is nice, and it's really pretty there. Hopefully you will get adjusted quickly!
  15. But in Paulding it's 8% right? I just meant the 2% difference between 6% & 8%. Why?
  16. I buy just about everything in Paulding. To me, it's easier and not worth the extra 2% to drive into Cobb that often when I'd end up using the saving in gas. I buy all of my clothes at The Avenues, though, and sometimes I'll go to Town Center. I only go there about 2 times a year, though.
  17. Awww congrats, AJ! She is beautiful!
  18. Wow. Just wow. With that piece of work, why don't you apply for a job with the AJC?
  19. Well, thank you still. 'Cause you won't see me running into any fire. Well, unless it was my husband or dog, I would.
  20. Oh girl, stop! LOL - I am starving right now and have to drive to Chatt in about a half hour. It'll be awhile before I can eat. And I have a package of Chips Ahoy staring at me, but I REFUSE to eat just one. (b/c with me lately just one = about 10 LOL). I can't remember the last time I got a good plate of homemade veggies... ummmm that sounds so good!
  21. You are right, Mr.Dis. I am very appreciative of PD. You guys keep me safe. You are the ones that dealt with my neighbors, when I felt nothing but UNsafe in my own home. So, I thank you. Maybe it's the way I was raised, but I don't automatically think the worst in people or situations.
  22. Take a deep breath... on your way to get the pup, stop and get some two-buck chuck. Get home. Love the pup. Take a long hot bath with a glass of the chuck and relax. You'll be fine... I will send ya some more good vibes
  23. It's not irrelevant... Just because she wasn't charged or prosecuted, it doesn't mean she wasn't drunk.
  24. I do. Just kidding.. Good luck, Lucky!! Be proud of yourself! I am, I don't have the you know whats to do that. I'd cry like a little school girl.
