  1. This sounds pretty fun! Do you know where it will be held yet? Is this open to any women? Not to sell, but to go?
  2. I have mine done by the owner of the salon I use. I do tip her, but only $5 becuase that is all she will take. I used to give her more. My total cost for my hair every 6-8 weeks is $60.00. I don't know if this is the norm or not. I think she will never take more than that is b/c I inist on tipping her when she says no. I feel bad if I don't. So she takes $5. But, she has also been doing my hair since I was 5, and is the only person that has ever touched my hair. That may have something to do with it.
  3. Well, we want to move. If we can't get back to Tennessee we at least want to move within Paulding. My house was on the market for a year. Ugh. I want to move... just one more time. Now that I can totally relate to.
  4. LOL I have no patience, either. At all. Sorry! It would be driving me nuts, too.
  5. That's so nice of you! BTW - I love your shop!
  6. I've gotta go with with Go Blue on this one.... And, also, my brother has an enormous scar on his face from an attack by a lab when he was a young teen. It about ripped his face off - and I am not exaggerating.
  7. Please do! It sounds good, and if yours turns out well, I may try it.
  8. We picked some of ours yesterday and I sliced one up and put it into semi-homemade chicken salad. It was good! One can of chicken, enough Miracle Whip to wet it (or to your liking), a small bunch of green grapes sliced in half or quartered depending on size, a couple of dashes of onion powder. Mix and serve on a toasted sesame seed bun. Yum.
  9. We used to tip about $3. But, since the economy tanked we noticed that our drivers were middle aged. We realized they had probably taken the job after a lay off and had families to feed. We tip about $6 and more if it's a larger than normal order.
  10. I think you might be right. If not, I feel sorry for one little girl.

    why?

I guess I am not as nice as you. I don't think I would have been able to even answer that out of utter disbelief. lol
  13. Meant to add: not sure about the Nook, but you don't have to pay for the wireless on Kindle. It's through Sprint, and it's called "Whispernet". You can connect anywhere except on a plane.
  14. I have a Kindle and I LOVE IT! DH has one, too, and he loves it as well! We are both big readers. The Kindle can download books, newspapers, blogs, etc. wirelessly. It is very light, and the battery lasts forever. My mom has the Sony reader, and doesn't like it. I am not really sure about the Nook; I haven't ever heard of it I think the Kindle is really worth the money if you love to read.
  15. OMG! That is so creepy! lol Are you going to write him back? This reminds me of Hannibal....
  16. Good luck! Where are you going?
  17. lmao! I still have no idea where this is, but how's bout another "little" white girl in there, too? I'm short.. It'll work, right? ,
  18. Where is this? It looks kind of familiar, but I am not sure....
  19. So.. this is strange, but I am 29 and did not grow up with a dryer, dishwasher, an icemaker, or a mother that ironed LOL. Or withOUT an icecream maker for that matter. So, now that I have all of these gadgets (except the icream maker), I hand wash my dishes everyday and then I load them in the dishwasher. Then it is run about 2x a week. I am a germaphobe. I do dry the clothes, but, pants get hung up to dry, as do button up shirts, which are then put in the dyer to tumble the wrinkles out. These are my jeans and MrB's shirts - the rest of his do go to the cleaner. He has to dress "pro
  20. Obviously... I am lmao right now at this whole thread.
  21. This is funny... I have never been there, but I was just told that we should start going there. For the music and the "cheap" drinks. Then this is the first thread I saw. lol We may be there. Don't know yet.
  22. I remember seeing a thread on here when this happened, but I still have no idea where this house is/was. Where on Ridge is it?
