  1. 12 more days? :::rubshandstogether::: Poor LR... maybe you should as the CC like SOLO said.
  2. You better get to it, then! lol
  3. I was wondering the same thing, LR So, did you dust out the Hell Hole?
  4. I know. It sucks. It was part of the reason we stopped kenneling our big dog. That way we had someone at the house three - four times a day on top of the fact that our dog was home, too. All of them thought he was a pit (he's sooo not) and were scared to death of him (just b/c they thought he was a pit). When we made large purchases, we didn't unload until the car was in the garage and the door was closed so they couldn't see what we were taking in the house. It sucks. Especially having them right across the street. Thank goodness it was just a mom and three kids and their friends. Not 8 kids
  5. I may be wrong, but I think Georgia doesn't have a "Secretary of Education". Ther eis a US Dec. of Educ. per se, but I think in GA it's the GA School Superintendent. I may be wrong....
  6. Isn't it still Kathy Cox? I can't remember when she is leaving... As for the other question I do not know...
  7. Have you tried to chill your hand and then soap it up? If I eat anything salty my fingers will bloat up and I can't get mine off. I will run it under cold water for a bit. I do know, too, that when my hands are cold my rings are loose.
  8. I am so sorry you are going thru this. I live over off of Bill Carruth and our n'hood went through this for a couple of years. It was peaceful until about 2-3 years ago. We had some trash move into a couple of the houses across the 'hood and they all became friends. Houses were broken into, cars broken into, the pool was totally in a mess - feces on the walls in the bathrooms, pool chairs broken, stolen, thrown in the pool, etc. People in HAZMAT suites had to clean it up. We were afraid to go outside at night. Finally the HOA was formed and strictly enforced pool rules, and then the last of th
  9. lol... your posts crack me up.... You are so right about that one!! It's terrible! And so is the Kroger on South Cobb. Yucko....
  10. You're welcome! When you do it spread the word. Hers was for medical expenses due to a serious illness, and we had it all over facebook and it was on the local news up there. Just get the word out
  11. What about a car wash? Some friends did a car wash fundraiser for my BF's niece in Chattanooga a couple of weekends ago and raised $6,000.00. Pep Boys let them hold it there, and even donated all of the supplies for them to use. Maybe you could check with some local auto parts places, like Autozone or Advanced Auto.
  12. Ugh. We were hoping Netherlands would win. Oh well, it was a good, but LONG, game. So, I am about to make garlic lime chicken tacos in corn tortillas. We shall see how this turns out LOL. I was going to make nowens98's awesome fish taco recipe but MrB can't have fried stuff, so I will try that in the oven another weekend. I am no longer in the mood for trying that whole oven/fryer thing out LOL - I am glad I have all the stuff for this.. Oh, and for sides we are having grilled peaches, plums, zucinni and squash. Yum. OH - and PS: the goalie for Netherlands is HAWT. That is all.
  13. Man that sounds good. We had modified (for MrB new "diet") chicken enchiladas, Mexican rice, and refried beans. It was good, but not as good as non-modified.
  14. Yay! I'm glad you are back! I was starting to wonder where you were.... As far as updates... I haven't a clue
  15. Thank you!!! I just saw this on FB, too. I will try baking - he can't have fried stuff. I will let you know how this turns out. We do have some jalepenos growing out back, so I will probably use one, just to get rid of one and not let it go to waste. Blah. I hate 'em. We'll see.
  16. LOL - Yes, that was the one!!! I am so glad they didn't do it. They are so normal, I can only imagine what would have shown up at their house. My poor BIL is the nicest guy ever. I don't know how he would have handled it. LOL That lady was so crazy, I think I laughed through that whole episode; either b/c it was funny or I felt embarassed FOR her. I do too!
  17. I know! My sister-in-law and her family were supposed to do this show. They live in up in Martha's Vineyard, and were selected and all set to go. SIL had a scheduled flight and everything. At the last minute, a week or so before she was supposed to leave, my brother-in-law watched an episode that came on and said, "absolutley not. I change my mind." LOL It was the show with the fanatical Christian lady with short black hair... he was scared to death of what was going to show up at his house. LOL So, they didn't do it. *NOTE: being Christian did't make her nuts - she was just nuts and happ
  18. Recipe, please! I love fish tacos, but I have never cooked any kind of fish...lol... keep that in mind when you send it. The hubbs is on a new "diet". The kind where his cholesterol is too high and he has to eat healthy - no red meat, oils, cheese, etc. Basically healthy food and a lot of fish.
