Has opened their fellowship hall for all the folks that are stranded in that area so they can get inside and stay warm. What a very nice thing for them to do. From the way they have been talking on the scanner, there have been numerous folks stranded in that area for quite some time.

And it is not just the Sheriff's deputies and ambulances that are working hard out there. Those wrecker drivers are working harder than anybody. I have a friend that owns a wrecker comoany and I have seen him soaking wet from head to toe and covered in mud after pulling somebody out of a ditch before. It is not an easy job at all. Last year when we had the ice storm--my DIL sat for 3 hours in the middle of the night on Hwy 92 in an ambulance. She was very glad not to be on duty tonight!!

I left the Marietta Square at 5:45 and got home at 8:30. 50 minutes of that ride was from Bill Carruth to my house on Hiram Sudie---less than 3 miles. And I haven't heard a car come by the house for quite some time.

Three hours wait for a wreck is not too bad, for tonight. It took me 50 minutes to get from Bill Carruth Pkwy to my house on Hiram Sudie, which by the way is less than 3 miles and a normal 3-4 minute drive. NO WRECK ANYWHERE. When the road is a solid sheet of ice and you have IDIOTS riding your bumper the whole way--it is expected.

And my bosses don't think there is a problem because everything looks good on the Square in Marietta.

I am on Hiram Sudie--right down from Davis Mill and I didn't hear or feel anything at all.

Oh good--I thought it was my TV or satelite messing up!!!

All of these sound great!! Now I need to muster up the energy to go to the grocery store!!!

Don't need any fights around here!!! Just want my easy recipe back. I have a bad habit of writing stuff down on a piece of paper and then it gets thrown away--or lost. Sad part is that I have the little recipe book to write the recipes down--but I seem to never get around to it. I am sure that your recipe is very good--want to share??? Surepip sounds like a very good cook, but his recipes are a little over my head!!1 I am just a good old fashioned country girl cook!!!!

I had it several years ago and now I can't find it. I seem to remember that it to 2 cans of just about everything and it made a huge amount of stew. It was simple to make and was very tasty!! Any easy recipes would be appreciated.

Believe it ot not--I saw some really cute red pea coats at KMart . And they were 50% off.

Yeah--Pearson needs all that money to pay for his million plus house in Panama City Beach. Yes--I saw it while it was still under construction. Such a shame for such a home on the beach and his wife hates the sun and refuses to even go out in it!!! And she preaches to ev erybody else about going to the beach and her house is RIGHT ON THE WATER.

Clapton has to be my all time favorite. Right now I am into Keith Urban (not the slow stuff), Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker. I can listen to just about any kind of music--except RAP.

If it is just a part time job--I am pretty sure they can do it.

Well, they can't put a truck on every street. 10 minutes to get anywhere in Paulding is pretty good. Heck--I live 3 miles from the McDonalds on 61 and it takes me almost 5 minutes to get there between the 4 way and the redlight???? You have to consider time of day and the make of the road (sharp curves, etc) in travel time. Even consider the idiots that won't stop for a siren--you know you see it everyday. Being that my DIL drives one of those trucks several days a week---I certainly commend them. I wouldn't want to do it. He has done pretty good to get trucks all thru the county over

I am hoping and praying that TMobile comes out with their internet service for our area sometime soon---so I can ditch AT&T completely. I changed my home phone to TMobile about a year ago and it is only $10.00 a month--I love it!!! Sorry for your problems. You would think they could at least call and maybe say they run into a problem on another job and would be running late??? Common courtesy.

For many years--I did not wrap Santa gifts. I just sat each of the 3 kids presents in different spots. The last year of that--I was up until after 3:00 in the morning getting everything ready and no sooner than my head hit the pillow--I heard the boys get up. Needless to say--I got absolutely no sleep that Christmas. The next year--I wrapped everything. I finally get in the bed and sure enough--I hear the boys get up. Only this time--I hear "it's all wrapped"!!! I got up--told them to go back to bed and sleep til at least 7:00. Needless to say--I wrapped Santa gifts from then on!!!

My knee did that several years ago. I could not walk on it at all. I was actually using my Daddy's little walking stick around the house--you can just try to hold on to the walls for so long!!! I finally went to the Dr. and they did xrays and found arthritus (sp) in that knee. I had been working out at the gym and all of this happened after several days on the eliptical machine, treadmill never even bothered me after that.

Cobb County Court website will pull some stuff--I think mostly felonies.
