i agree atlanta is a long way to go, but when we were helping a relative 3 years ago, we had the same problem of finding a place open on saturdays. I don't know about recently, but the court would only accept certain places to do the service. Too many scammers out there. The Warehouse of Hope is open late on certain nights, it used to be on thursday nights, and she could get a few extra hours there each week. It is located on hunter road near hwy 92 at the county line. Goodwill store in hiram maybe?

I think it is called reynolds recycling in douglasville on bankhead hwy /veterans memorial near the greystone power headquarters. It is on the railroad side on the bankhead.

doesn't that only apply if it is U.S. government property? (nasa) What if it is russian or chinese or a meteor?

Sorry, i don't know of any place around here, but we had a relative working weekends at the atlanta tool bank and the atlanta zoo (the zoo and new aquarium both require you take a class first though). Other weekend opportunities are habitat for humanity if it is approved by the court/probation.

25 Year Veteran Of Hall County Sheriff Department
marteenj replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
This story is nothing new for fox5 dale russel. In november 2007 he aired a similar story about our former paulding sheriff hanging out at the house, cutting grass, not showing up at the office for days, etc. Another example of the good 'ol boy system. -
there are not moisture issues with the canned air used for blowing out electronics, only with air used from a air compressor. n most stores electronics departments you can find those. For example, wally world has the Maxell brand Blast-Away-Canned-Air for around $4 per can or the no-name brand for approx $3.

i agree, it is a coincidence unless one of the updates you ran was a BIOS update (that would have changed your hardware configuration). The fan is based on laptop temperature and windows, etc cannot change that. Even the power management functions only slow down the CPU to save battery life, not timing when the fan comes on. About once a year you should blow out the fan blades and area with a can of air duster for electronics. Do not use high pressure compressed air.

getting close to being done, they are paving both sides

I agree and i am not promoting anything, but the germans did have a special "camp" for it's "work-shy” individuals, persons whom the regime incarcerated as “asocials” because they could not, or would not, find gainful employment. It was a plan to reduce unemployment. The unemployed person would be offered work at a labor exchange and if they refused it as too menial for them, they would be arrested as work shy.

Parole board denies clemency for Troy Davis
marteenj replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
well, that opens a whole different can of worms with the typical public defender office/system in georgia counties and their success records. (no, i don't know if he had a public defender at the original trial or appeals, but if i was a betting man......) -
could be a number of reasons for them to be this low ------ trying to increase foot traffic (by saying cash only, you have to come inside), or going out of business, or trying to empty the tank for some reason, etc

I have never owed or been involved with debt collection agencies myself, but since topics such as "statute of limitations" and "fair debt collection" laws are discussed on the Clark Howard radio show and the Dave Ramsey radio show (and churches) alot, i have a good bit of knowledge on the subject.

Get on their email list for good coupons, especially for during the week. They also have a comedy club there, the Funny Farm (separate tickets & coupons/discounts). Other than the karts, it is similar to dave and busters (game prices and food).

No, that wasn't my point. Humans are really good at mimicking the behavior that they see around them, and in this case, they see what the government is doing and getting away with.

Coupons stolen from papers at grocery store at Crossroads
marteenj replied to fire911's topic in RECENT TOPICS
yeah, some will steal them for their own use, and others will sell them online in bundles. -
we all have a government that feels "like they don't need to pay their debts" (domestic or foreign) either. Our taxes are going to pay for peoples mortgages, groceries, day care and best of all, executives salaries from banks that are too big to fail.

There is lots to do out there within 100 miles in most any direction. Are you flying or driving out there? If flying, i assume you have a rental car? For hotel, i recommend the best western "ramkota" in rapid city. Very rustic furnishings/log furniture, good rates, indoor pool/waterpark and hot tubs, good hot breakfast. Since it is not rally time, the place should be around $90 a night -- cheaper if you can book it online 2-3 weeks prior. Signup for their email coupons/specials (ramkota has separate deals & coupons, not the same as best western) ---- http://rapidcity.bwramkota.com/

I agree, it is out of time for them to collect ---- but, if you pay them anything at all, then the clock starts again, and they can put it on your credit report again too.

No, you don't have to download IE 8 if you don't want to, although part of the update to the IE8 package may include updates to other XP files (.dll files) or security updates for IE that might be a good thing even if you don't plan on running it. Firefox and the others out there are not dependent on internet explorer to be updated or running, etc. If you install firefox, it will ask you if you want to use it as the default internet browser or keep using internet explorer. You can still have both and can actually run IE and firefox at the same time if needed. ( strange, but there are st

Well then, that is a completely different issue than a septic tank needing pumped. -- which was my point, at least 8 posters said to get the tank pumped, costing approx $300+ when it should be obvious that was not the problem unless the tank is so full that it backed up into the sink and won't drain out. Septic tanks smell, that is their job. The traps are there to keep the smell out of the house.
-
yes, you can run another browser such as firefox or chrome, etc with XP. IE 9 does not run on XP per microsoft Even if you could run IE9, it would not show up as a "high priority update" --- options such as the new versions of IE and media player will show up as "important" or "optional" updates anyway.
-
i am curious ----- if there are p-traps at every sink, how would the septic gas be smelling in the sink? If you climb on the roof, i could understand the smell from the vents, etc. or in the case of a double kitchen sink there being rotten food stuck in there before the trap, etc

Private schools have become big business, their TV commercials are nice, but just ask the students of schools such as Univ of Phoenix, American InterContinental University (AIU), Embry Riddle, Art Institute of Atlanta, SCAD, and Devry how much the costs really are.

From the story/picture, it looks to me like they were trying to hold the guy down while waiting for the police to arrive. Unfortunately, he couldn't breathe with them piled on. I see someone looking for a lottery ticket here, some attorneys trying to be creative and trying to get this in front of sympathetic jury for some kind of reward. Hopefully, the judge will not let this get in front of a jury. While this nonsense wouldn't go here locally, jurors tend to think a little different over there in fulton/dekalb county where the violent crimes are more of a daily happening. A jury mi
