We have a garmin nuvi 260 and the north america 2011 maps (that is what the boot screen says). The addresses on ridge road and bakers bridge road are not correct (the new subdivisions are correct, however). For example, if you punch in 1111 bakers bridge road, it will send you up to the top of the hill at the kudzu patch near the kroger instead of where it really is --- (1.1 miles from the ridge road intersection) ---- 1111 bakers bridge used to be at the top of the hill near the intersection 10 years ago before they re-numbered the houses for the 911 system.

As long as it is not a garmin, you will be ok. Their maps are not correct, especially in this area & that is after running the update dated 2011. They are ok with general roads, etc, but if you are looking for a specific address, i have seen it a mile off on some homes on ridge road, dallas nebo and bakers bridge road. The county changed the house numbers 10+ years ago when the 911 system came in and for some reason garmin maps still use the old house numbers. All the other online maps and other gps do not have this problem

When first starting the computer, at the end of the hardware check, press and hold the F8 key and get a start up menu. If you don't get the menu, then you may have waited too long before pressing F8, so try again. Depending on the version of windows you have, the menu will have several options to boot the computer, including an option to go to a "safe mode" so you can uninstall the offending program and another boot menu option called "Last Known Good Configuration" you can also try. here is a microsoft link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Using-Last-Known-Good-Configur

Waste of money. if you read the small print (and personal experience), there are usually deductibles and they will replace the tv with a refurbished one, especially if it is no longer sold new after 2 years, etc. It would be different if the plans were $20 or $30, but they are $70 to $150 depending on the model of tv. Also, we were out of a tv for 3 weeks waiting for the extended warranty claim to make a decision and ship another one. As a side note, if you purchase any electronic with a decent credit card from a credit union or amex, etc, it is covered for an extended period anyway beyon

Do you have any problem with law enforcement searching your home because someone in your area of the county has been caught selling drugs? --- even if the search only took less than a minute? Same principle here - you are driving along, a good citizen not violating any law, but still have to stop for this search and interrogation because of a suspicion of something that may or may not be going on in the area.

Lately, they do not answer their phones or emails at the local office. Sometimes you can get an answer at the 800 number. You really have to physically go to the local unemployment office to get any questions answered or file a claim. By the way, good luck getting help until the actual lay-off or discharge anyway. Even then, the first thing they want is a copy of the separation notice. They are really overwhelmed and sometimes you have to wait a few hours, but the unemployment office in carrollton seems to do a better job of handling claims and a shorter line.

Save your money, i mean, how much time are you going to be in the room anyway? Each time our family goes, we are in the room only to shower and sleep.

I have noticed that too. Almost 10 minutes every hour. With my employer though, the boss smokes with them too and they have their little clique out there. They do discuss some office stuff too -- the problem with that is sometimes decisions are made or a project gets changed while they are out there with only the "clique" giving input. The rest of us sometimes have to play catch-up. I don't smoke, but i have been know to go out there with them to get the scoop on office stuff or personnel changes, etc.

and if it does not succeed, it will make a nice drag strip, flea market, and maybe drive-in too, haha

Here is the FAA link to the licensed airmen: Link: http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/airmen_certification/releasable_airmen_download/ Download and import the database into a spreadsheet such as excel as "comma separated format". This is a huge database (worldwide), so sort and remove what you don't need: sort by USA, then sort by state, then sort by city, then zip code. This database is pilot and mechanic licenses, so to get rid of the pilots, delete all that have a medical date (mechanics don't have physicals done unless they are pilots too.) good luck
-
This is very simple, try to keep up. From the FAA database of licensed A&P mechanics, using their registered home addresses, the following can be determined by sorting the addresses by city first and then zip code to further narrow down the pool to do a better job of trying to include only paulding residents and not douglas or cobb for example. There will be some leeway as, for example acworth or douglasville will have addresses in paulding and their respective, etc counties. If anything, the numbers will be higher than actually are in paulding county. The database was updated 11/1/201
-
I will stand by my statement, 99.9% of paulding county residents are not qualified. --- Maintenance Crew Chief, A&P, 3+ years TFE 731, CFE 738 and TPE 331 engine experience, etc.
-
Unfortunately, as this position shows, aviation related jobs are very specialized and often, but not always require licensing --- 99.9% of this county is not qualified for these jobs.

Where are local junkyards for larger trucks?
marteenj replied to freebird20050's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The only reason i would say pull-a-part is because you can get an entire engine for under $150. Which in this case, a running used 6.5L diesel is over $1000 minimum anywhere else. The rebuilt 6.5 engines are $2500-$4000. The engines at junk yards are somewhat in unknown condition, but you can look the vehicle over and get an idea why it is there -- meaning if it was wrecked, then it was running when crashed, etc. Be careful about buying an engine from a truck with no damage. There are 3 of them in atlanta area --- south (near the airport), east (lithonia), north (buford hwy). The van 6.5 e -

Are you sure you want to fix a 6.5 GM motor? --- joking aside, I have spent way too many hours on that particular engine series. I even converted one 3500 to gas 454 because the owner was so p*ssed at that diesel. Some owners have gotten the older 6.2L diesel engine and bolted on the 6.5 external parts. There is usually at least one or two of them at pull-a-part locations in their 2500 and 3500 trucks. Depending on what part you need, you will find at least one in a van configuration too. Plan on doing a bit of walking and looking in each truck though. As you may or may not know, stay -

The best ones have a smooth bottom so they don't scratch the stove. Also, the thicker the metal, the better because the thinner pots and pans will warp, doesn't matter whether aluminum or stainless or iron, thin ones will warp and it is really noticeable on the flat surface on the cook top.

That's easier to spread out the shopping at multiple stores, rather than having to pick one store as the primary to get up early for. So, what time would the line start at wally world then?
