*if* you have to get out please post what stores are open

The Valero at 92 & 41 is open, as is the Publix at Cedarcrest & 41. -
Why do people like you instantly fall back on the whole "raise taxes" thing? Does it never occur to you that spending should be cut? Foreign aid, pointless subsidies, welfare-type programs, politician pay rates... tons of things that would make sense.

Have You Ever Been Focused On Instead Of Your Topic?
cmorg replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I suppose that if one were to frequently post gibberish, he or she may become the focus. -
I love that show. If that episode had ended about 20 min sooner, it would have been a perfect ending. So... I have nothing to watch until The Walking Dead returns.

This is an example of the attitude of the political class towards the only part of the govt. that is worth the money spent. It is also an example of a promise broken. If this was to be applied to those who retire from this point forward I could understand it. If this did not have an impact on those who have retired due to injuries I could understand it. There are many other ways that money could be saved, but the choice was made to hurt the very people that have dedicated their lives to protect us. Our federal govt. is a disgrace, regardless of party affiliation.

Harry Reid exempts some of his Senate staff from Obamacare exchanges
cmorg replied to barrycdog's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I understand your point. For me to support a democrat, I would have to feel reasonably certain that he or she would vote for or support the things that I support. Having said that, the republicans that I have voted for have not always done that. In the end, nothing is certain and you really cannot count on a politician to do anything other than what is in their own interests anyway. Kind of off subject, I think there should be a two term limit on all politicians. These career politicians need to go. -

I tend to agree with you. Typically, my views and ideas align more with the republicans, but I am not opposed to a democrat who is a little more conservative than your average democrat.. and who is genuine. -

I hate the AJC. I also loath Facebook. And I will never post a pic of myself online... anywhere. As for the old lady giving the finger, I like it! -

What a joyful place this is. -
It seems to be getting worse. The people who at least try to be considerate of others are overshadowed by the hordes of those who believe they are more deserving of the time or the space or the road or whatever situation you want to imagine. While I understand that everyone can, from time to time, be an ass and that it's not "who they are", I fail to believe that that is what is usually encountered. Sadly, I believe that the majority of people, at least in public, "I don't know these people" situations, are jackasses.

Go Pack! Good luck to all of our teams.

I would remind you that the use of marijuana is not legal in the state of Georgia. You must be high to equate being forced to purchase something as a freedom. But then you are obviously a liberal, so...

My apologies. I cannot and will not argue with the point that hypocrites suck. -

Show of hands: Who here is actually so stupid that you think you aren't going to be paying for other people's medical coverage whether they are signed up or not? I have already seen comments from a couple of you. Come on... don't be shy now. You (generally speaking) make your comments like "oh, so I get to pick up the tab.." and "you BETTER not come here and bitch about..." Amazing. I have been paying for it, you have already been paying for it... and we will all continue paying for it. It is "spread the wealth" time, so you may as well do it with a smile rather tha -
I guess I am getting ready to build a brand new antique. I hate laptops and mobile devices are fine for email and youtube on the go, but that's about it.

There used to be a ban where you could not have any tattoos that were visible while wearing summer service uniform (aka - can't be seen while wearing short sleeves). But I suppose they are trying to get back to some sort of uniformity and more of a "clean cut" look. I have to wonder, though, why women are not required to maintain their haircuts by the same regulations as the men. In the Marine Corps, it was not only about uniformity, but also about not having anything an enemy could grab, the ability to get a good seal on a gas mask, and one less area of hygiene to be concerned wit

Congratulations! You will love it, I promise. I will suggest that, until you are more familiar with the egg, you cook something simple first... hamburgers or maybe chicken. It's important that you get a "feel" for the egg, because there are some differences on it when compared to other grills. Play around with it, but with inexpensive meats first. I love thin sliced zucchini and squash... with the original blend egg seasoning on it. As for recipes, there will be plenty of time for that in the near future!

House passes Continuing Res. to Defund Obamacare
cmorg replied to NewsJunky's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have studied the information from a variety of sources, from opinion to actual legislation. Based on what I have learned, I feel safe to say you have not done the same... discounting selective study on your part, of course. -

It would be closer to 93.7% is speculation by those who support it. -
House passes Continuing Res. to Defund Obamacare

In 2012, the majority of voters that turned out were either stupid or ill-informed. But generally speaking, we (as a society) are getting what we deserve. And of course obamacare will not be de-funded, but I would rather see somebody in DC stand upon principle for a change. And the "sniveling little brats", by the way, are the liberal fools that whine and cry any time anyone dares to go against their will. -
Fourth Graders being taught about Pimps and Mobstaz?

I do not believe that the govt. education system intends for them to be very productive or wants them to have the necessary skills to escape poverty. -
What some people miss is that ,yes, there should be a level playing field where the opportunity lies... But it is unrealistic to expect there to be a level playing field when it comes to people (kids/parents) taking advantage of the opportunities.
