Prayers and good thoughts for Charlie and family.

Well thats the the thing, when I'm turning left, usually I'm already stopped in the road waiting for oncoming traffic to pass. Most times, when the oncoming traffic is turning, they dont use their blinker either. See, if there were no signs there, and it was a normal turn, wouldnt the oncoming traffic (turning left) have the right of way? It just doesnt feel normal to me, going in either direction.

I agree. I think the "yield" is on the wrong side.

Prayers for all. It is a bad area, and now with the new school there it is horrible. I wish they would have done something differently there. I dont know what, though. It scares me to pull out from there.

Is Little Caesars the large ones?? That is a good price!!

Depending on what you want, Pizza Hut has large pizzas, any toppings, any crust for $10. Its a good deal if you get multiple toppings...but may not be for a school function where everyone likes different things.

I agree 100% with this. When I bought my first house, the bank tried to convince me that I could afford something like a $900 per month payment. I was only paying $300 for rent at the time, and my boyfriend and I both made around $10 per hour, I think. Anyway, I knew there was no way I wanted a $900 a month mortgage. It ended up being $347 per month....and we never were foreclosed on. Dont allow the payment to be a "shock" to your financial freedom. Buying your first house is exciting, and oftentimes people let their emotions get the best of them. I would try to keep a payment similar t

Wow, I hope she went to the ER. This is scary. Please update.

I like that house too...love the balcony!

I know its stressful to work in an environment like that, but oftentimes it is easier for you not to do anything at all. Let them bury themselves in their own crap. Remember, it is your job, not your whole life and leave it there. Go home, relax and be at peace knowing you are a better than them. Good luck!

Agreed. There are jobs where it wouldnt be a big deal, and other jobs that you just need to use your common sense. I would think that calling out a flight, you should be speaking VERY clearly. Yes, the child did a good job, but I dont think the numbers were called clearly enough, and the father didnt reiterate what the child had said. I'm a freight dispatcher and I have brought my kids to work. It is very distracting to have them there....except nobody's life is in danger if I am distracted while on the phone. ETA: I also didnt allow them to do my job (answering phones and talking to c

Not that it makes it okay, but I always wash garments before wearing them. Just because something still has a tag on it, doesnt mean that it hasnt been on someones body. This is truly gross, though.

Darn! I missed it! How could I forget it was on? Could it be because my boyfriend decided that we needed to watch the movie "The Box?". Ugh, of all nights!!! BTW-didnt care for the movie, wish I had remembered Idol. Based on what I have seen this season, none of the guys stick out in my mind except for: Big Mike: very refreshing when he comes on stage..interesting, happy guy Casey: Yep, Im sweet on him!!! Lee: Hot as well, and I LOVE his voice. My opinion on why the judges are griping so much on the guys--they really dont like them. Didnt they say a few weeks back

You're so funny!! I thought of you on my way home--contemplated starting a topic that read "Videotape of my drive home today"

And slow down BEFORE entering a curve or hill, NOT once you are already there. I got home in Yorkville about 30 minutes ago. Goldmine is slushy, but clear in some areas. Holly Springs is worse. Everyone be careful!!

I think they did a great job. My middleschooler is home, and the roads arent extremely bad yet. I would assume many of the children are home. First they had dismissal at 12:00 (I think) then as they received more info, they pushed it back. It shows me they were really watching it and paying attention. No complaints here.

I play instead of saving for my children's education!! Just kidding. I buy them sporatically, but I would still play if it was a smaller payout in order to help with education. I was pretty impressed when I moved here, and learned where the money goes..not all states do that. I will play LESS often, if the state takes more away from the schools.

My only advice is to get good advice!! LOL. 4 years ago, we had a purchase agreement with a property company. One year ago, they didnt have enough people in their houses to pay all the mortgages, so they were stretching the payments that had been made. Instead of paying our mortgage with our money, they payed the one that was the latest. Anyway, the real owner showed up at our house (against the contract he had with property company), to make sure we were paying. He ended his contract with them, and we now have lower payment and owe less on the house. I do know that renting it out is mu

Pigs would fly before my middle schooler was there by himself. By reading these posts, it seems pretty common to just let your kids run free. -
