  1. Ha!!! Well, can you at least see us over here?? I am trying to download Google Earth on my computer right now, and it is going VERY slow. Maybe they are having a problem, or doing maintenence.
  2. Uh-oh...is the Earth gone?? J/K! I used it at work a few times, then all of a sudden I couldnt anymore either. I think our problem was with our firewall or security system. I'm still not sure though...I will have to try it again.
  3. Well, I certainly didnt intend to sound mature!!!
  4. I agree. Childrens characters should be free of scrutiny. Did we wonder why bugs bunny didnt get put under animal control? Worry about Miss Piggy giving people the wrong ideas about weight, cookie monster, the possibilities are endless. I would just hope that parents dont share these with their children. While I dont agree with people being here illegally, I also dont agree with involving your children in racist remarks and such.
  5. Or even endangering the welfare of your child while allowing it to be in a car with a drunk driver.

Exactly. Stay in the driving lanes...simple. Ignorance is not innocence, so my mother always told me!!
  7. Haha!!! It backfired didnt it?? Usually men and children think if they mess up a job, they wont have to do it!!! She sure taught you...smart woman!!!
  8. Funny, funny!!! I often wish I was a southern gal!!!
  9. This will be such a good experience for her, one that will hang with her for a lifetime. Good luck to her, and you too PsychoMom! Hang in there, she will be back before you know it!!

Why would you have to go back in time?? Waking up late isnt an excuse for breaking the laws, and endangering other people. If you are late...deal with the consequences. Is that better? Because putting my life in danger is not the answer to someone elses time management problems. Also, I know people that this is their way of life. Always late, and always driving like an idiot. Its not the one time a year when you oversleep, its a way of life. So yes, get up earlier, and leave earlier. And no, I shouldnt have to "deal" with dangerous people on the roads.
  11. Ditto. NOW I'm mad. Poor child. Now hopefully the child can be out of danger for good, before something worse happens. Its a good thing God was watching.
  12. The article doesnts say the baby wasnt in a car seat. Scanners can be a little deceiving...maybe the officer said the child wasnt "currently" restrained. You never know. I dont know this woman and didnt hear the scanner. I will wait to hear the facts. I would think that a baby under the age of 1 would not have lived in a car that rolled over while unrestrained. As far as the head injury....this is a good time to remind parents about what they have IN their car. A baseball bat, screwdriver, books, etc. ANYTHING that is in your car, may injure you or your child in an accident. If you h

I'm sorry to the ones that have been ticketed for this, but I'm glad they watch it. I had a car behind me pull out into the center lane (suicide lane?) with solid yellow on both sides. About 1/2 mile BEFORE the light at Thornton/Bankhead. Well, the car that pulled out, didnt notice the other car that was traveling about 50mph in that lane, and came inches away from totaling us all out. I think the turn lanes should start sooner to make the flow of traffic a little better, but until they do, people need to stay in their lanes. It doesnt work well when people are flying down the center lane a
  14. Its really not a far-fetched idea. It may be cheaper to outsource it than do it themselves. I wonder how they can get people in India to make our childrens lunches??
  15. My thoughts exactly. We have the "right" to say what we want, without being thrown in jail. I cannot say whatever I want at my job, and expect no consequences. I do think that "free" help is good help on a volunteer basis. The OP may be taking offense to changes being made, that were no fault of her/his own. The condition of the facility may or may not have been a result of the OP's performance. Change is hard sometimes, but oftentimes in the end, it turns out better. Its always best not to react immediatly, and instead wait and see it all play out, then make a decision.
  16. I'm not really sure what Celexa is, but I once took Paxil and was the same way. Even taking it at night, I would yawn and be a groggy zombie all the next day. I just stopped altogether. Maybe now that you have put the 60mg in your body for two weeks, you may try to go back to the 40 just to see if you feel better again. I dont think theres a perfect science for it. As different levels of other things change in your body, especially women, medications will feel differently too. Even if you dont change your dosage. Good luck!
  17. I went to Hilton Head, SC with the kids, just for one night. It was nice, but we didnt get to take full advantage of everything. We were on a work trip. We played mini golf and watched fireworks. Anyway, its beautiful there and I want to go back. You can also do a split vacation and go to Savannah on the way or way back.
  18. And a federal crime to boot. Dont rob banks and post offices. Why didnt they just swing by and turn themselves in BEFORE doing this? The odds are not in favor of thieves.

My son is almost 12, and yall are skeering me!!!! Okay, so I wasnt the best teenager, and I expect FAR more from my children than was expected of me. I guess I can thank my mother for making me see what NOT to do, and I am greatful for that. Will it ever be allowed in my house? No. I pray every day that my chidren can feel good enough about themselves to avoid peer pressure. Will that happen? I dont know, but it doesnt hurt to put all my effort into it. After all, that is my main priority in life. If I mess up my children, I have failed. I do worry about burrying my head in the sand
