I just want to know what day trick or treating is this year.

Good heavens!! I haven't been able to down 10 Krystals in years. Three, four at the most, and I'm done.

Well, knock on wood, it seems to be doing much better. Here's what I have done over the last couple of days: Uninstalled the non-working CD drive Uninstalled the iTunes that I never updated Ran the malware program (Thank you Guard Dad for that) Changed the battery which finally totally crapped out yesterday Every time I got ready to run defrag my husband wanted to go somewhere, so I never got around to doing it but hope to this evening while he is gone for a while without me. Whoo hoo!! Some alone time that doesn't include the grocery store.

After I had that "event" last fall (one year ago today), my memory is like Swiss cheese. Sometimes I remember lots of things and then other times I can't remember my address. LOL Of course, I lived in the last house for 34 years so that might have something to do with that. I went to fill out paperwork at the hospital the other day and had to stop myself from putting my old telephone number down. I'd already struggled through the address. It was stressful though and stress definitely makes it worse. I love the calendar on my e-mail. As long as I can access e-mail I have my calendar.

I'll try to remember to do that. Maybe put it on my calendar as a reminder, like I do anything else I need to remember.

Mine is an Asus. I've wondered if it is a pressure thing.

Thank you!! I did as GD said and ran the malware program. It picked up 11 non-malware files. I've deleted them and I think it's running faster now. Still can't tell if the noise, which sounds like the hard drive starting up, is better or not. I think that might be related to the auto scans I have set.

I haven't run defrag in a long, long time. I plan to do that today and see if it helps. I don't think it's a cooling fan, though it may be. I also, every time I go online, disable the neighbors wi-fi "connect automatically" so where it is only connecting to mine. I thought maybe it was trying to connect to other wi-fi networks around. Thanks!

It said I didn't have authorization do run that command.

Thank you!! I will do that.

It sounds like my computer hard drive is kicking on several times a minute. Never for long, just a few seconds. Can't tell if it is the hard drive or the fan though. It's a laptop. I thought it might be the non-working CD drive so I uninstalled that and uninstalled iTunes. It still does it. What could it be? It's driving my husband nuts. He said fix it or get another one. I can't see getting a new computer because the old one makes noise. I had it in the shop a couple of months ago and all the hardware was fine. It is almost like it is trying to download something. And yes

Same here. But I hope it doesn't hit Savannah. I have a cousin there. Since she bought property there, they have been hit pretty often.

Actually, that's a category 4 hurricane. But it is heading toward the Carolinas.

I can just about guarantee that next year since I'll start drawing Social Security that my insurance will take up a big part of it. It's a fine balancing act, too. Don't work too much to make any of my SS taxable or that they take some of it, but yet work enough that I get insurance and a tax credit. I estimate I can make about $3000 next year and be in that sweet spot.

My Florida Blue was great insurance. Outrageously expensive with an ultrahigh deductible, plus I had to change doctors but great insurance and I hope I can go back to them Premiums were certainly more than the alleged 8% of your income you were supposed to be paying. More like 58%. But I managed to have 2 knee replacements, complete with 35 PT sessions and paid $6250 (getting back about $5000 of that when the IRS finally, after 7 months, sent our refund for 2014. Since that I've gotten the tax credit, which helps both the premium and the deductible. I feel like single-handedly I'm the re

I'm in Florida. United is pulling out of the state for ACA plans. I hope to get Blue Cross again.

Paulding Lanes closed? Darn!! Next thing you know someone will say that Fred's closed. -
I didn't make any changes to the theme and mine shows up with the IPS Community logo and not the Pcom logo. Very strange.

Who in their right mind doesn't know how to get to where their dad is? Did he have a local tag? In a rental car? Have a GPS? So many things just don't ring true about the man's story.

We had someone approach us at the Love's station in Evergreen, AL For those of you who travel I-65 to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach, you know exactly where I'm talking about. I can't remember now where she said she needed to get to but I-65 wasn't the best way to get there. She asked for money, not only from us but almost everyone getting gas at that time. Once she made the rounds, she got into the back seat of a car occupied by two men and they drove off. The men sat in the car the entire time she was asking people for money. Not to be racist, but she was white and the two men were black.

LR thank you for keeping everyone updated on his condition. I saw motorcycles yesterday and wondered how he was doing. I hate to hear there has been a setback.
-
Yes it is! We have been told there are properties around here, to our north though, that are in both FL and AL. Some of the farms are massive so it wouldn't surprise me.
-
We are more like LA than FLA that's for sure. LOL Or maybe we are LLA (lower lower Alabama). If it weren't for the sign at the state line, you wouldn't be able to tell when you go into FL from AL. There are some businesses just in Escambia County, AL that have FL telephone numbers. We had rain off and on. Already had rain today.
