http://blog.al.com/l...in_vicious.html http://blog.al.com/live/2014/02/charges_upgraded_against_3_sus.html I just want to slap that smirk off that one guy's face, too. Tell him he needs to learn a little respect for his elders.

Apparently it is open season on old white guys in Alabama. Three punk kids beat up an elderly man north of Mobile. He died. Thankfully, all three punks were already in the jail when he died and it didn't take long to get those charges increased to murder one. I just hope Alabama doesn't have the catch and release system of justice that Georgia has.

Best description I have EVER seen for my mother in law is contained in the blog entitled: Characteristics of Narcissistic Mothers which is part of the series the OP posted a blog from. I mean it nailed my mother in law, to a T. I posted a link to that blog on my FB page in hopes that my sister in law will read it and maybe, finally realize it isn't her who has the problem. Oh, but I did read the blog in the link and pretty much agree with it. I have a friend who has done that to her husband (this is why I have said for a long time it isn't just men who are abusive). And then I also saw m

Per the IRSYour refund should only be deposited directly into accounts that are in your own name; your spouse’s name or both if it’s a joint account.

I take it that the e-mail is from the program used to do the tax return. They have no control over the IRS and actually no affiliation with the IRS. Maybe the IRS does still require that the checking or savings account be in the name(s) of the person(s) on the tax return for a direct deposit of a refund. The person who had another person's money deposited on their "card" would not be subject to this rule. I know several years ago when we actually got a refund, it had to go to our joint account and not to my personal account, even though our bills were paid from my personal account

I was giving the experience I had being the person responsible for transmitting tax returns for a tax prep service. It's been several years since I did that and things probably have changed. They did change the rules while I was there in that position in that previously the names on the account had to match the names on the return. That was later changed to where as long as one of the names on the return was on the account, it was OK.
-
It used to be that a refund on a jointly filed return had to go to a jointly owned account. I believe that was changed a few years ago to where as long as one of the people on the return owned the account, the refund could go in there. A return filed single could go to any account on which that person was listed as an owner of the account--for example, with a live in significant other, a parent, etc.

He is affiliated with Wellstar and has offices in Austell, Douglasville and on Windy Hill (over near 75, I think). The group name is Northwest Neurology. You can check the Wellstar site and get a phone number. Not sure but you probably have to call the office you plan to go to--Austell if you plan to go there, Douglasville if you plan to go there. The Austell office is on Austell Road, not far from South Cobb High School, Racetrac and the East West Connector.

We used our kerosene lamp quite a bit in years past. Not as our main source of light, of course, but our light was not decorative. It was a standard, plain Jane kerosene lamp that had been used by my husband's grandparents when they did use it for their source of light. We put kerosene in it back when Snowjam happened and about 1/4 of that fuel remained when we gave away the lamp before we moved. But it was made of glass, the whole thing. The chimney was broken where it had tipped over once after we had used it and someone who shall remain named Carol bumped it and sent it tumbling. Than

Whoo hoo!!! Wish I was there to drive on it.When we were there two weeks ago we went on the part that runs between Rosedale and Cleburne Parkway. We had a business in that tan stucco building for four years and I swear I didn't know where I was on the new road! I looked over and just shook my head like "this does NOT look right".

Now that you tell me how long ago it was since he passed away, it does seem like I remember it. That would have been before my mom passed away and she would have told me about it. But I've slept since that so I can't remember. Gary Kaplan is great, too. It was never an ordeal to go see him. He tempered everything with a bit of humor which made doctors orders a bit more palatable.

Jeff Woodward? I didn't know he passed away. He was some relation to me but without my mom to tell me I couldn't begin to say how. If he is still in practice and he accepts your insurance (which is the big key these days), Gary Kaplan is wonderful. He treated my migraines. Had them completely under control, too.

Have her check the refund status again. Sometimes even when it says a refund was issued on such and such date, it doesn't happen for various reasons. If it shows that the refund HAS been issued and it doesn't show up by Monday, call the bank.If the routing and account numbers are correct, it should get there.

Last time I looked kerosene lamps were made of glass. Including the kerosene storage area. Please don't tell me that these are now deemed "unsafe". My grandparents lost their home to a fire started by a kerosene lamp that got tipped over. But they only lost their home and no lives. Once.

You can take the amount of each month's amount and multiply by 12 but be sure you use the full amount and not just what is deposited if you have Medicare or Part D or prescription coverage deducted from your check. If you do, you need to know those amounts as well. If you have any Medicare deducted, just add those amounts to the deposit amount and you will have the full amount. Be pretty close to 100% accurate because the taxable part may be Zero or may be more, depending on how much other income you have during the year. The tricky thing is that the January amount is actually for Dece

That, and the Georgia Department of Revenue are two of the most user unfriendly government sites I have ever seen. Well, aside from healthcare.gov. I think I finally gave up trying to set up an account on SSA so I could get my earnings statement. It simply wasn't worth the trouble.

Hubby got his not long after the first of the year and well before the end of January. Lowrider has great instructions on how to get a statement.

You don't just "get over" concussions either. Not always at least. Mental illness is a private hell for the sufferers and their friends and family members.

Fifty Years Ago - Are you old enough to remember?

Well, that's because you are an old fart. As a side note, love how the house is coming together. Very, very nice. -
How does drinking affect your liver comedy short
Mama Carol replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thank you!!! I didn't watch it. I have liver disease, NOT from drinking, and lost a sister in law to liver disease caused by heavy drinking. I don't find the subject funny. And Pubby knows me and knows I have a twisted sense of humor. But something on this subject simply is not funny to some of us. -

My bedtime was 8:00 so I had to go to bed instead of watching them. -
I think that a lot of time in the case of the elderly, particularly cases like the one you mentioned above, they just give up. And God isn't taking them in the foreseeable future, so they help God along. Neither is wrong, neither is right. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I've known several people who committed suicide and several others who attempted it. One man I knew slightly but my husband knew well committed suicide. He had been diagnosed with advanced bone cancer and was in his 80s. He felt he had NOTHING to look forward to but pain and suffering so he

I'd seen ads for them and they said something like that. I've used FreeTax USA for the past two years. Even having income from self employment, the federal return was free. I know some of the other companies charge for anything other than just a 1040 and maybe a Schedule A. I do like TurboTax though. Easy to work with.

Do you still have to pay for the state filing?

It's certainly not expensive without the code. And really easy to use.
