If you're talking about who I'm thinking you are, you are 1000% correct. He is some good looking eye candy. And I know if he is reading this he is blushing about it. Damn good chiropractor, too. He has helped me more than once and is the one who convinced me to finally go see an orthopaedist about my knee. Without his prodding, I would not have gone when I did. And I wouldn't have gotten relief when I did. I also know who else you're talking about as well. One of my friends in-laws drove from East Cobb, near Sprayberry High School, to Powder Springs to see Dr. M. One of the finest

Spinal Fusion, discectomy with bone graft
Mama Carol replied to justgettingby's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I can speak as to the donor site. It was a worse recovery than the surgery I had where the bone was placed. A scar about 7 inches long along the hip bone in front. When I was told in 2006 I would need another bone graft surgery they told me the bone would come from my hip. I told them no it wouldn't. Then they saw when my previous graft was taken and they agreed. As a general rule, one graft harvest per side and the side where the surgery is performed is the side the graft is taken from. As both bone grafts were to be on the same side, the doctor said they would not take it from my hip -

I've known two couples who had an oopsy. Both had the oopsy after the wife had her tubes tied. That surgery is not 100% effective, contrary to what women are told. Only one 100% safe and effective birth control method and it sure isn't the most popular one. With good reason. -

There are certainly risks with birth control pills but there are also advantages to them that don't include birth control. Had it not been for BCPs I would have been drugged for 2 out of every 4 weeks. I could only function without monthly pain (for two weeks out of the month) if I was taking BCPs. I even took them after I had my tubes tied. Obviously, taking them at that time was not for birth control. When I got too "old" to stay on them, I had to have a hysterectomy. It was that or go on narcotics. I could NOT function and especially could not work on narcotics. I all but ended up -

Yep. I agree with you totally on this. Pregnancy terminations should not be needed. EFFECTIVE birth control should be readily available to any woman who wants it. And I'm going to get a lot of flak about this but who cares. I think it is the woman's decision regardless of her age. And Uncle Sugar and Reverend Jim can butt out of the decision. It's not THEIRS to make. -
I bet we went to the same one. Another person I know won't go to that doctor again ever, even if her husband agreed that she could. There are a couple at Resurgens I really like. One was the doctor who did my foot surgery and another saw my daughter when he was in another practice. Both excellent, caring doctors. But the one I went to with the infection in my foot. Nope. In fact, if he were on fire I'd throw gasoline at him. Payback is hell.

I had to listen to it twice, too. I just could not believe he said that. If hope she didn't have kids by him.

So, why do people on Pcom think I'm a conservative? I support pro choice, pro birth control, definitely pro legalization of pot and I don't care who you sleep with or marry because it doesn't have the least bit of impact on what I do. And I'm considered conservative by a lot of people. Oddly enough, not by any true conservative that I know. -
Had I not been going to the chiropractor anyway, I probably would not have had the xray. I would have limped around on it. I don't like going to the doctor, never have, and had I gone to my family doctor, I would have had to go somewhere else to get an xray. It's BECAUSE the chiropractor did the xray, at no charge, that the tumor was found. The orthopaedist used the xrays I took and I only had more a month or so later to check to see if the tumor was growing (it was). There were times that the orthopaedists I worked for sent patients to a chiropractor and certainly times chiropracto

OMG!! How STUPID can you be?

You obviously had something that could be fixed by surgery. It does happen. I saw more failed back surgeries than successful ones. And most of the patients with the failed surgeries requested surgery. Living on pain meds and muscle relaxers is no way to live. Glad you had an option and that it worked for you. I wish my husband had that option.

I had a benign tumor in the right fibula (lower leg bone) that was discovered by a chiropractor who xrayed my ankle FOR FREE because it was bothering me after I twisted it. I was sure it wasn't broken but it kept staying sore. I was in the office one day and the chiropractor noticed I was limping. He asked what happened, I told him. He said "let me do an xray for you and then I'll refer you to an orthopaedist. I can do the xray for free and save you a bit of money". He xrayed it, called back in about an hour and said "you need to call this orthopaedist TODAY and make an appointment becau

You had something that surgery would help. That's the difference. Surgery in a lot of cases does nothing to alleviate the pain. If there is a physical problem, it can work. Glad yours was helped by surgery. You actually defied the odds.

A mandate that birth control pills be covered by insurance just makes sense. If boner pills are covered, which they are in many cases, why in heavens name is something FOR WOMEN not covered? There are a lot of reasons a woman might want to use birth control pills that has nothing to do with not wanting to get pregnant. Though not wanting to get pregnant is the main reason to take birth control pills. But to even THINK that a woman can't decide what to do with her body without being told by a MAN is just plain egotistical on a man's part. I still believe it's the liberals who want the con -
Like Blunt Trauma said, there are exercises that you can find online and try. I found some, tried them and I am not kidding or exaggerating, I had IMMEDIATE pain relief. I was having extreme difficulty getting down in the floor to do them but then had little problem getting up. Seriously, no joking and no exaggerating. I'd already had the adjustments with some relief but was having the pain down my leg so bad I was in tears. I kept telling myself that I couldn't even attempt the exercises. I'm glad I did. I still do them when my sciatica acts up. Five reps is generally all I need, too.

Smart man Mike Huckabee. He's dead on with what he says. I haven't needed someone to tell me what to do with my body since I was 9 or 10 years old and I realized it was MY body and MY decision what to do with it. Anyone who says that a woman needs someone, particularly an entity such as the government, to tell them what to do with their body is worse than a chauvinist. They are misguided at best. -

Yes, degrading. And insulting. Why would anyone think that women NEED someone to tell them what to do with their bodies? Or that women wouldn't have a clue how to handle their life without HELP. -

I don't put you on ignore because I can't wait to see what you come up with next. My SOLE purpose is to make sure other WOMEN see another side other than yours. You're free to live wherever you want. I kinda like the fact that you and that crazy lady we had as our commissioner in southwest Cobb are Paulding's problem children now. -

How degrading, as a woman, to read this drivel. You'd think that some people, perhaps those who post such BS, believe women need guidance and taking care of. Horse hockey. Beginning to believe that it is not at all the conservatives who are trying to treat women as simple minded creatures who need taking care of. It's the liberals who say "look at what THEY want to do to you". THEY are the liberals trying to do it! I hope every single female who reads TPs posts that are about "women's issues" is as offended by them as I am.
