  1. "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones Written by R. V. Braddock and C. Putman, Jr. He said I'll love you 'til I die She told him you'll forget in time As the years went slowly by She still preyed upon his mind He kept her picture on his wall Went half crazy now and then He still loved her through it all Hoping she'd come back again Kept some letters by his bed Dated 1962 He had underlined in red Every single I love you I went to see him just today Oh but I didn't see no tears All dressed up to go away First time I'd seen him smile in years (Chorus
  2. We're not located in Paulding but I would think Cobb would offer the same thing. I didn't know they could do them (the sheriff's department). I remember when we became e-filers at work, my boss had to be fingerprinted but didn't realize he could have done a background check there as well. Good to know.
  3. We are needing to hire an employee in the near future. Because of liability issues where we perform most of our work, background checks are needed for potential employees. What is the best place to get a comprehensive, yet cost effective, background check. We need one that will include anything having to do with drugs and alcohol (DUIs and possession). Issues with credit or work history is not really necessary. Basically anything that might indicate a problem with substances. Our customers are really cracking down on their contractors about having substance abuse programs in place a
  4. I had a dear friend who had taken vitamins all of her adult life. The doctor finally put her on blood pressure meds a few years ago. She was in her mid80s at the time!! Even the BP med she took was a mild one and it controlled her BP just fine. She ended up dying about 18 months ago from brain cancer but other than that, she was still healthy and active. Her husband still takes his vitamins, takes few if any prescriptions and is going strong at 91. YIKES! That one is pretty pricey.
  5. I cannot take iron so I have a difficult time getting a multiple vitamin with enough of the other things in it to do any good. So, I take separate vitamins/minerals. Here is what I take: vitamin C 500-1500mg per day (more when I feel like I'm getting sick)--helps prevent colds, lessens their severity and helps blood vessels. Excess Vitamin C does NOT build up in the body and flushes away through your kidneys so you are highly unlikely to get too much. Vitamin B12 1000 mg/day--helps provide energy. Calcium/magnesium/zinc two 333 mg calcium/133 mg magnesium/5 mg zinc per day--fo
  6. I got Kaspersky antivirus when I got my laptop last month. I highly recommend it. I got an e-mail from "Intuit" today about updates for my QuickBooks. Thought it somewhat odd that it went to my spam folder. When I tried to download the "security certificate" that the e-mail said was necessary in order to access anything on the Intuit website, the AV software blocked it as a Trojan horse. Thank goodness for the AV software. Not sure the Microsoft whatever it is would have picked it up. But Kaspersky Oh yeah, it was $49.95 for 3 computers for a year.
  7. Hubby got this phone yesterday. So far he likes it. I downloaded the 320 page user manual and have started reading about different features. He likes the GPS so far. He's been so busy since getting it he hasn't had time to play with it. I'll have him do a review, though.
  8. I had little to no pain when I used a tanning salon. Stress was something that I didn't experience, either. Plus my skin cleared up (I used to have prosasis and ezcema).
  9. My youngest child is 29 and I'm not around my teenage grandchildren so imagine my shock and surprise to read an article in Woman's Day about sexting. I'd never heard of it before! Wow.
  10. My daughter thinks her twice a week appointments are bad! She's not 40 nor does she have other health issues.
  11. My mom always made her veggie soup with corn, okra, tomatoes, green beans, lima beans, carrots, celery, bell pepper, onion and potato. She usually put stew meat in it, too. Occasionally, she would put elbow macaroni in it but that depended on who she was cooking it for. If for my sister, she put the macaroni in it. If for me, she didn't. My recipe for veggie soup is simple. To a soup pot of water, add one or two beef bouillon cubes or stew meat. Bring to a boil (if using the stew meat, you need to cook it about 30 minutes before adding the veggies). Add two bags of Kroger vegetabl
  12. I think Geritol and AARP might be sponsors, too.
  13. Ever since I got my desktop back from the repair place, my web fonts are all wrong. I can't seem to get them back to the way they were. I've tried everything, I think. Any suggestions? Either they are too big (like on my webmail) or they are too little (like the in the actual e-mail I write).
  14. We had them here the week between Christmas and New Year's. But instead of hundreds, we had thousands of them! Migration is all we could figure.
  15. Oh great! Hubby is driving in from Mississippi. If he can't get off I-20 at Mirror Lake and doesn't know I-20 is closed at Chapel Hill, not sure how he will get home. I guess he could take Highway 5.
  16. Thoughts and prayers are with Irene & Coy, Don & Lisa, Val, David and the rest of the Evans family.
  17. Maybe things will return to normal after you go off the Depo. Husbands never want to hear it's THEM.
  18. this might explain it: Other side effects of Depo Provera can include headaches, nervousness, mood changes, bloating, hot flashes, decreased interest in sex, breast tenderness, acne, hair loss, and back ache.
  19. my daughter got that way back late last spring. Baby is due in about 31 days.
  20. did you try this? https://paulding.paytaxes.net/intro/paulding/
  21. Crap, crap, crap. My husband is supposed to be in northern Mississippi tonight. He has to go through Birmingham to get there. It's a six hour trip on a good day. He left here just before the snow started sticking. Glad I didn't go but wish he hadn't. Fortunately, much of the roads he will be traveling are interstates and major roadways. Few, if any, backroads. Edited to say: happy to report he is in Grenada and had no problems whatsoever. He said they did say there was a chance that they would get another storm system move through but so far everything in northern MS is fine
