Never, ever use your husbands account to post - especially if you are posting about the manicure/pedicure you had that day. Creates confusion - and a few laughs - hence MRSdavidj6

I agree - COMPLETELY! One difference - we didn't have teacher work days or all the 1/2 days for conferences, etc.

We've been at West Cobb Peds for almost 13 years (since he was 3 days old).....Most all of my nieces/nephews from age 24 down are/were patients there as children. I personally LOVE Dr. Gaines even though Dr. Cantrell will always be my favorite!

No....I had hoped that the info would come out a day or so before, but it came in in the middle of the night and I was gone this morning early without checking my email. -

Mine's almost 13 now...wish he still wanted me to read to him - LOL. I'm jumping in with the rest - he is/was/has always been an avid reader (he's actually reading Gone with the Wind now for school). Anyway, he used to say "again" when I'd finished reading or begin to cry saying I didn't read enough. I did what several of the others did. We picked out our nightly read together, I told him this was all we were going to read, but I put a twist on it. I told him if he cried & didn't go to bed after we'd read the ones we picked out, I'd read one story less the next night. If I remember c

My child has played Alto Sax since 4th grade - he's now going into 8th and is in marching band - (actually at band camp this week). I HIGHLY recommend purchasing (which you can finance or rent) an instrument from Ken Stanton or Ponier. Do NOT BUY ONE FROM COSTCO. I've watched those fall apart. The reason I recommend one of the "brand stores" is because as long as you are financing/renting you can take the instrument in for cleanings/repairs at no costs - and, with a boy, and a beginner & a saxaphone - you WILL have bent keys, need pads replaced, etc. They have used ones available at t

The systems who continue paying for retired employees healthcare premiums are going broke across the nation - I've read a few. And, then this......the thing is - everyone looks at insurance - not at the actual costs of healthcare.... My link If insurance pays a doctor/hospital a fraction of what the doctor/facility needs to exist - how do we expect them to survive?

A mom mentioned this to me this morning & now seeing it here, I looked. I'm sorry I did. This is just sad, really, really sad. Here's a link to an interview with the mom & includes 3 videos that I didn't even get thru because it made me cry for this child. Says she can't watch the computer 24/7...Heavens - don't let the child have 24/7 access. My childs computer has a timer on it - he can only be on for the amount of time we've preset. And, it's not in his bedroom - for heavens sake - this 11 year old was making these videos in the middle of the night. My link

Oh, man....my husband broke a bone in his foot a few years ago. I've told him if he ever does anything like that again - I'll forget the wedding vows of for sickness & in health and just kill him. He was such a pain in the butt!!! Obviously, I let him live - but just barely!

My sheltie was the reason I took a pregnancy test - we'd been trying like forever to get pregnant. One morning, she jumped into bed with me and instead of the normal lay her head on my chest and lick my face, she started pawing at my tummy & nudging it with her nose. My hubs said he bet I was pregnant & I was. She messed with my tummy for the entire pregnancy and, after the birth, she really thought she had a hairless pup!!! She's been gone now since December 06. Liver failure. I miss her every day.....

I do - not sure about others or possible newcomers to Georgia. I have a couple of friends who are hard core democrats. They're not thrilled with Barnes being the frontrunner simply because of the amount of time spent in politics. They fear the "get 'em out" attitude will pour over to - well, he's had this job before & he had 8 terms in the state senate, along with his record on education & health reform here in Georgia. I'm surprised the teachers are behind him in the numbers that are being reported as most I've talked to hate NCLB, but, attribute that to Bush, not looking into Bar
