Prayers lifted for all families involved. It's hard enough to lose a family member, but to lose a child, a pain no one should experience. Blessings to the pastor for being there so quickly. What a rough rough situation....

There are STILL NO SIDEWALKS at my mothers house - not even in a subdivision either.....back then, sidewalks were only in "town"

On the large chance of being misinterpreted as a racist or as a person who thinks government programs are bad unless my family needs it (still trying to figure that one out) or anything else, I read this and thought that those of pcom who would like to give this information to human beings who are in need whether of their own doing or of the economy (trying to be as PC as possible). This may be of assistance to some - I seem not to be able to help myself passing along helpful info. Attended a court hearing for a family member today

I had the most contact with these ladies. I had been driving behind them, walked in behind them, went thru the security together, rode the elevator together & sat near them. I heard the conversations they were having - not because I was eavesdropping, but because, at the time, I was alone - my family member was coming from another area and it wasn't convenient for us to ride together - and, the conversation was not being held quietly. They were discussing the hairdresser running late, the manicurist not speaking english as a new place one of them had gone to, etc., etc. That's why they -

Uhm....No....the cellmate with the phone happened to have been white. It was NOT mostly black people. There were every race in the rainbow represented. White, black, mexican descent & asian. The guy with the designer glasses was not black either - he was oriental looking. Obviously, I should have never posted this. My family member is guilty as charged, has hired an attorney and I agreed to go with said family member. I'd not sat in a courtroom and listened to the proceedings. I was amazed that people - of any color/race - do not pay for attorneys. I realize that "one may be appoi -
You didn't faint in the heat?

Watched this last night - felt bad for the bus driver. Some people still think the drivers make their routes. The mom waving at the bus as it went down was just uncalled for. Calling the news on things before trying to work with the bus barn was uncalled for. I agree with the poster above, this is why little things are such big deals to the kids! But,then, I think the fact that we keep little johnny & jane in air conditioned homes sitting on the sofa playing video games and not playing outside like we did as kids is why so many of them are fainting at sports or too hot on the bus.

Someone just sent me a video "clip" from The Ed Show - that was posted on the H Post - where I refuse to read - but you should see this clip. It makes is sound/look as if Atlanta Georgia is a 3rd world nation gripped by the Great Depression.....I couldn't even watch it all as this guy was talking......He had no facts!

AJC update on story: My link Excerpt: Applicants came from all over the metro area and some came from other states. Since the program is a federal program, applications are not limited to East Point residents, Lemish said. A link to the photos - photo number 2 shows some LONG PINK acrylics - lol - just saying. This was interesting..... My link excerpt: Embedded in the image was a geotag, a bit of data providing the longitude and latitude of where the photo was taken. Hence, he revealed exactly where he lived. And since the accompanying text was “Now it’s off to work,” potential thieves knew he would not be at home. Security experts and privacy advocates have recently begun warning about the potential dangers of geotags, which are embedded in photos and videos taken with GPS-equipped smartphones and digital cameras. Because the location data is not visible to the casual viewer, the

Attended a court hearing for a family member today

By the way, I asked the lawyer if this was a normal court day and he said Yes, this is normal procedure, so, I asked how anything was ever accomplished and his response is that as a defense lawyer, his job was to keep my family members case from seeing the light of day. Just Wow. -

BOTH!!! I say that because people shouldn't break the law. It's the system because I swear to you - all that was done in that one courtroom today was, and I could repeat it verbatim when I left, but now it's leaving me (could be the wine). Your honor, we plead not guilty, opt in to evidentiary, will respond with first motions within 10 days and respectfully request move to docket in September. Which, as was explained to me, means, if your case is not dismissed, or you do not plea bargain, I'll file motions til September which then I will ask for an extension to file more mot -

There were several there - they sat in the jury box with the lawyers that would be called down to be appointed or who had already been appointed. However, there honestly weren't many people of spanish descent and some of them declined the interpreter. Most people were white or persons of color. I am still just perplexed about all that I saw/heard today.....amazing - in a very, very bad way. -
OK....not Paulding county. Arrived at court before 9 a.m. this morning to attend hearing of a family member. Before the case I was there for was called - I thought I would end up arrested for jumping up and doing what someone posted about confronting a person or, at the very least, screaming and pulling my hair out as I left the court room. First, I had been 2 cars behind an Escalade pulling into the parking lot. Ended up parking near said Escalade & walking in with it's occupants - who were talking up a storm about babydaddys/shopping/etc. These were women of color with fresh

Every time I read about something being passed - the magic year number is 2014! Much of the healthcare, quite a bit of medicare, etc. so, what is 2014 gonna be like?? Don't answer that! Anyway....I believe people are beginning to see that we are, as the old saying goes, robbing Peter to pay Paul. My link
