Bad Accident
justgettingby replied to chansky's topic in NEW Scanning the County - Emergency Services radio Traffic Reports
I think it's people running the lights. Same thing always seems to happen at the next intersection, 278 and Atlanta Hwy. There have been many times at that intersection that had I not paused befor taking my green light, I'd have been nailed in the side by someone running the red light. I ALWAYS look left and right before entering that intersection because of this. -
When I moved from a 1200 sq ft house to 3200 sq ft, I learned something really important about furniture. Wait awhile before you buy everything. Resist the urge to buy stuff just to fill the empty space. Wait until you find EXACTLY what you want so you'll love it forever. And if you don't find a lot of boxes, or need specific sizes, Lowe's sells some great ones. Congrats on the new home! Enjoy

I'm so curious now. What type of cars are they? If I'm going to stereotype, I want to make sure to get the correct stereotype.

I'd normally be happy. But I have to drive down to Tallahassee on Monday. Nothing like driving in torrential rain for 4 1/2 hours.

My neighbor got $2500 for leaving the house "broom swept" with appliances and light fixtures when the house he was renting went into foreclosure. Not a bad deal really.

No, never. There is a speed limit for a reason. If people think they don't need to follow these limits, then they deserve to get pulled over.

That's an ok house (not my taste) but I don't consider 6000 square feet a mansion by any stretch. I'm assuming the cost of the hosue comes from the 50 acres of land with it. But still neat to be able to "see" it. I love internet house shopping.

I heard the son lived there somewhere, or some relative of some sort. Wow, I'm helpful That road has always creeped me the heck out. I don't know why but it made the hair on my arms stand up the few times I ventured to the end of it.

Randy Rhoads was the man. I bet he never imagined he'd be fashioned into a "magazine holder".

Try this way... Cler the numbers by turning a few times. Start at zero. Turn counterclockwise and pass zero three times until you land on first number. Then turning counterclockwise, pass zero twice and land on second number. And lastly, pass zero once to end on third number.

Yet another reason why I would NEVER buy a brand new vehicle. I'll never pay the ridiculous cost of depreciation. That is about the price for my 2007 Corvette. I'm thinking the Corvette is a lot more fun to drive.

I only like the 0% Fage Plain Greek Yogurt. I use it for sour cream and if I want something sweet, I add a little local honey to it for a dessert. The 0% is not as strong tasting as the 2% and has less fat. If you are having a problem finding the good Greek yogurt (not the american knock offs)at Kroger, try looking in the organic section. American yogurt is nasty and full of sugar. If you want sweet, add your own natural fruit or honey to it. Sooooooo much better! Edited because I like to have a dessert once in awhile, NOT a sandy, hot desert.

If anyone is eligible for USAA insurance...GET IT! They truly are the best.

People who own three houses can qualify for Food stamps? Sorry, something is wrong there. Oh sorry, just noticed someone edited that info out of their post.

Years ago, I jokingly told my friend this. I got a good chuckle that she actually believed me. It was all fun and games until soon after while driving with her, she blew through an "optional" stop sign and almost hit someone else. Oops, guess that joke wasn't so funny afterall.

Need airline advice from some seasoned travelers
justgettingby replied to nowens98's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Check the usual Travelocity, Orbitz, Kayak, etc. But when you find the price you like, buy it directly from the airlines site. Not only do you not pay any fees but you'll also have recourse if there are any problems with your flight (you miss it, its cancelled, etc). If you have a little time, you can sign up for emails if there is a change in price before you buy it. Here's the link to Travelocity's Farewatcher Plus http://travel.travelocity.com/mystuff/RetrieveFareWatcher.do?Service=TRAVELOCITY Looks like all the big airlines for travel between now and December are about $276 -

Christian Church Lets Muslims Use Their Building
justgettingby replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It was the Grand Mosque that I toured. They offer tours everyday but Friday (a year and a half ago). It is illegal to take pictures of mosques (public buildings), military, government buildings, and anything related to their economic infrastructure. That's probably why they took your memory card. Here's the website For the AWARE center in the Mosque for a tour http://www.aware-center.com/Services.aspx?SRV=Local%20Tours AWARE stands for Advocates for Western and Arab Relations. About AWARE http://www.aware-center.com/Aware.aspx?ARV=AWARE%20Center Gee, they sound terrible. -
Christian Church Lets Muslims Use Their Building

I've toured a few mosques in Kuwait and Dubai and am not Muslim. I simply had to cover my head. -
Looks like you need to get your own life and stop living through your computer. From reading your posts, it's obvious you have some issues that YOU need to deal with instead. On a sidenote, do you use Microsoft Word or another program to type out your responses first? I've never seen another poster with linebreaks like you do in their replies.
