  1. Every single one of them just headed off to Blue Ridge, so I have the house to myself!!!! That's the BEST vacation of all, if you ask me! Reckon how long I can stay outa trouble????
  2. LINK ABOUT ETHANOL PROBLEMS TO SMALL ENGINES After reading this, let me dispel a couple of things that are not accurate, and could cause further damage- While the article is EXCELLENT, and even gave me insight to a problem that has had me and my master mechanic scratching our heads- the part about how ethanol allowing water in, is causing premature wear to the piston, rings, and the jug. (Your engine, basically..--->>>>toasted beyond repair...within a monetary sense). Also, regarding the storage of your 2-cycle equipment- it is actually BEST to keep some fuel in the
  3. I would have to agree. Only got it once, but it lasted a long time, and it sucked!!! A lot of times people will confuse a variety of vegetation that blooms at certain times during the summer, not realizing it's an allergy, rather than the flu.
  4. I certainly concur with you. I've got my 5+ years with 7 comps net worked in....never had a problem, using free, self-updating software. Norton's is a resource hog, IMO.
  5. My personal take on it is this, and it's quite simple. Our government controls more oil than any other entity on the globe. Those bases over in Irag were not built to be temporary. The US Gov. owns it, and the foreign lands know this. So, in all common sense, the government most likely sets prices as they see fit to try to bail our broke asses out, and back into production. I know that's a mighty nice thing to say about our govm't. But the fact is, they are larger than all of us. When a think-tank grad lays out a pricing plan, it goes from there, based on how the govmt can squeeze o
  6. Good night and Happy Belated Memorial Day!!! I wanted to work this weekend, but I had graduation of my daughter, and the family get together's all 3 days.
  7. We're gonna have a throw-down JAM at the house today. So, if any of my friends from pcom are interested, and have nothing else to do, just come on down. It's just me and my oldest daughter, and her friends. A drummer would be nice (must have own drum set, since I sold mine) and a guitar player would be good too. Also, a bass player- I already have the rig for that...nice Fender copy with a kick-butt amp, full P.A. Mom is gone for the night, so it's gonna be fun!!!!! Just call me first (678-315-8794) and since it's Sunday, BYOB!!!! If no one can come, and you already have plans, I
  8. And don't forget the modesty!! What the hell is this all about?
  9. Well, HELLO!!! Welcome to PCOM. You will be amazed at how many GOOD people reside here.
  10. Having two beautiful teen daughters, I love the way you put that! To a teen, some of the "weird things" in OUR old eyes, are a way of them expressing who they are. Don't get me wrong though!! I ALWAYS have some sort of fatherly advice for my girls. I have come to find that the best I can do, is to try to show them the pitfalls, and how to be safe.....mostly teaching them that some things that are "cool", like tattoo's throw up a BAIT sign to guys. I will not elaborate, but this would make a good thread. My oldest has so much respect for me and her mom, that it never comes to that. Yes......fre
  11. Folks.....it would appear that I made a mistake, plus there was also lack of communication. I thought we were BOOKED...He thought I was supposed to confirm...I don't remember that part. Actually the gig was supposed to be at Jalapeno Joe's....even still, lack of comm's was the biggest mixup. He and I both didn't get everything just right, and I love this guy!!! So, it's all water under the bridge. So, I spent the night at Hiram Station playing in and out with Bent Fender. The bass player (short, pretty gal) plays bass like no one's business!!! I really had a good time, and I would like to than
  12. It was fun....just hated being set up. But, hey, it's part of the business.
  13. I have seen JAIL or PRISON save more than a few lives. They can't get it, and have no choice but to go thru withdrawals, and just END it. In fact, the ones I know who did time for their addiction, came out and cleaned up, whereas the "pro's" who hide it so well, or just lucky and never got caught....well, let's just say REHAB is a joke without a TIGHT LEASH. Makes sense?? Crack is not the scourge it once was, and lies mostly within the inner city. Meth is the real killer...cheaper, stronger, nothing but the perfect BAIT...only we all know what happens when a fish takes the bait...right? Th

  15. So, if someone brings Bible into this, well......let's see... King David was the KING!! With this power came the knowledge that he had dominion over most everyone, including (and most importantly) the GIRLS. Read the story...it's in the Bible. He lusted after a MARRIED woman so much that he arranged a battle to put her husband at the front line, knowing he would be killed. Saving face....ya think? So she gets knocked up, then God TAKES the child away (through death, of course). So many lessons, but the most important one is that vanity is the Devil's favorite sin. Pride, same thing. All of
  16. Great flick......granted, there is cheesiness...tactile bla, bla, while feeling up a Nuke booster casing. But, James Cromwell was GREAT as the guy who invented warp drive...a drunken, hopeless has'been, who STILL-WAS...just didn't know it. An awesome display into the human psyche. Sometimes, when we KNOW we have accomplished something BIG, finding support for your work is the HARD part. Of course, I'm sure you already know this. Folks who don't know our back-and-forth..I really love this guy. He's a prince if a person who'll give you the shirt off his back. And he's a TREKKY tooooo!!
  17. Not so fast, Mr. Hulk....I was pushing a mower up a 6 ft. high hill (about a 60-70 degree angle) just because it was faster than weed eating it.)...but yeah...we have GOT to arm wrestle one evening!! (Besides, the "blower" was put to good use today...just gotta snatch it fast about 2-3 times, then you're off! )
  18. Couldn't say...my feeble little brain can't go there anymore.
  19. Henceforth, "First Contact" was one of my fav's. The BORG (sounds Swedish) is one of the most terrifying concepts, as humans are viewed with no emotion, no compassion, simply organic spare parts. Who needs the campy blood and guts movies, when you can tap into such coldness, and lack of humanity??
  20. AWESOME, Mrs. B!!! Congrats to you all! What a beautiful thing!
  21. Back in the old days....lay low on the weed!!!
  22. When the BORG got ahold of Picard.....2 parter...best thing ever! Oh yeah... and the one when No. 1 did an exchange with the Klingon's only to show him the best of the best. Jonathan Frakes was awesome, and actually directed many of those episodes, not to mention at least one of the movies.
  23. I'm playing there on Friday nite....come on down!!! Irish man here....(well, part Indian & German)....scary mix!!!!
  24. thank you....so far, the past two days have been amazing!!! I hope it keeps this up.
