Toddler Left In Hot Car; Mom Arrested
Jetsmom replied to michelay1000's topic in Paulding County NEWS
First, I agree she should not have left the baby unattended in any vehicle - period. Just wanted to add that an assumption was made that all 22 month-old babies can walk. Although this one probably could have, it is still an assumption. This is still not an excuse. 2nd, someone suggested allowing the receptionist keep an eye on her kids while she gets her dog (don't forget to call the animal police for leaving her animal in a hot car unattended!). The is no way I would ask a receptionist EVER to watch my kids. I don't care if she knows them or not. If I get delayed or whatever, -

For me, it depends on my own emotions and the age of the children. I attended a funeral for a close relative with a running toddler and was in no emotional shape to be trying to keep my child quiet. We had to go outside to not disturb the service. It still saddens me that I couldn't stay. Learning my lesson, I took someone who could take the child for me if it became necessary. When my parents passed away, my children were old enough to behave themselves and had their chance to say good-bye. Some folks don't want their children exposed for various reasons including nightmares. My ch

Have you tried classmates.com? They usually have the info about each reunion, and who to contact / rep for the class, etc. It is free to browse people, but if you want more info, like an email or phone#, you have to join the website. If you know the person, then try to contact them locally.

The sign out front says there is some sort of preview 7/25, and then the official opening 7/31

It is a trade off............. I wouldn't say it has gone down hill any more than the rest of the county. More subdivisions, more crime & more traffic, versus new schools, new fire stations, new stores. But if you like Paulding the way it was 20 years ago, then you might want to head farther west toward Bowden, Temple, etc Give it another 10 years and Paulding will probably have marta too !

They have a camera that looks at your license plate to see if it has a Douglas sticker, that is why you will see some with no county sticker or they get a "wildlife" or other tag. Carroll county does the same thing at their landfill/transfer station

I enjoy living in this area. We have plenty of grocery, pizza and childcare options that weren't here 10 years ago. The only thing I really don't like is that I have to explain that I actually live in PC with a D'ville address. Welcome to the area.

You should see what it looks like to clean the windows or windshield of an smoker. Not pretty. Done it many times.

Yes, it will physically install on the computer. You do not have to uninstall open office to use microsoft works. However, when using explorer to open files, Open Office still may open the "works" files though, because the file type may still map to the Open Office program. You might have to start the proper program before opening certain files, unless you feel confident enough to re-map the file types in windows XP......... Now, that being said, the newer versions of works has an activation key to use the program after install. Do you have the key code to activate the software if it

Beautiful picture. She is a lovely girl. -
Yes, this is horrible and IF those parents ignored that baby's screams I hope they are arrested and the keys thrown away. Being the over-thinker I am, it is possible the child passed away before being attacked from SID's or something else and never cried. I just hate jumping to a conclusion w/o knowing enough of the details. The story said the family had laid traps, but they didn't mention if the home was really infested even though that is what is sounds like. I just don't trust everything I read.

Odd, listening to Q100 and they are talking about a guy (missed the very beginning of the story) had a ciggy fly into his open window (I think he threw it out the front window and it went into the back) and it caught his car on fire. It was a total loss. Just weird that i was reading this and heard the story. I really don't mind if folks want to smoke, but I have seen how it affects other people. I grew up in a family of smokers. I spend much of my childhood in and out of hospitals for respiratory problems. I see my other smoking family members who have kids who suffer from Asthma, c

Normally I would agree, but the 2nd call she made (after he hung on her the first time) she asked "if they were going to send and ambulance" without using foul language and he called her an a$$. She asked if this was going to be a f'ing problem and he again hung up on her. He kept hanging up on her after just a sentence or two. IMO she never was given an opportunity to explain anything. Granted I wouldn't like her language either, but who was supposed to be the adult; who was supposed to be a trained individual to get the needed information? I am pretty sure it not the panicky teenage gi

Yeah, I was speaking to an friend/officer about that. Those pill organizers and small pill holders can land you in the pokey.

Yes, I agree. I would also get the name of the person I spoke with in case something comes up. Folks on medicine travel travel all of the time. I am sure they have something set up for them. Probably would have to keep medicines in the original containers. Worse case scenario, you would have to get a doctor's note, or something along those lines. This is from: Delta airlines Have fun on your trip!

Anything by Paris Hilton, yuck. Rap, disgusting sex talk.

I know they are (or were) commerce members so this should be ok. I really need to find the name, or number, today. I looked on here, but the search isn't helping and I can't find a commerce member listing. Please help as I need to know what time they open. PLEASE. Never mind. I found it on the 5th google search. I really wish there was an easy way to look up commerce members that is easy to see.

That's our problem. We are on a well, so we have to really take turns showering. We have a new pump, but I am wary and hate running out of water and going through the process of priming the pump. Daughter would take showers 3 or more times a day if I would let her. Son would take 1-2 a day. (Him, I would let but we have to time it right). Other two don't really want to, during the summer I let them slide to every other day. The baby has eczema also and the doc said the same as posted before. If's just not good for their skin.

Well that's great. It didn't discourage the male driver, in the sheriff's car throwing his ciggy out the window while turning onto Legion Road yesterday around 5 p.m.

Live in S. Paulding and commute to Dallas. Takes about 15-20 if I am the only one going. Add at least 5 to 10 min, if I go by daycare. When school starts back up, ad 10-30 min. depending on when I leave for work. Hubby works in Marietta, takes about 30-45 depending on traffic. If I could add something, it would be sidewalks and a bike lane. Would love to try to bike to work some days, but traffic makes it way to dangerous.

That's awesome. Wouldn't have been in the South Paulding area, would it? Lots of sirens went down a couple of while ago. Glad everything worked out.
