I remember coming home from college and Santa didn't come for the first time. I never said anything, but it made me so sad. It was like the magic just ended. I won't let my kids experience that even if it's something homemade or trinkets (what ever I can afford), Santa will always come while my kids live at home. Heck, even if they are just spending the night, Santa will leave something.

Do you really want cameras inside your home? How do you guarantee they are off when you are home? Alot of the technology can be enabled remotely, even if turned off with the keypad. I can see a use for cameras in a business environment, but not necessarily in your home, monitored and controlled by an outside company. Now, i am not conspiracy theorist, but some people are concerned about the whole big brother thing & privacy, etc ---- just query FBI and onstar together in your search engine and see the possibilities.

Thanks for the info. that looks like an easy initial test. There are test kits on the internet similiar to the radon testers a few years ago, and they are around $30, but i don't know if they would be accurate. the main reason i posted is because of the potential health hazard, and the fact that you could lose insurance coverage completely (and then mortgage problems too).

Homes around the southeast built or remodeled between '04 and '08 may have chinese-made drywall. This stuff is rusting pipes and emitting toxic fumes causing health concerns. I went to school and graduated with Rhonda. She was a sweet girl. I know her family is hurting right now. My sincerest condolences to her family and friends and I pray found her peace.

Last night I dreamed I heard a noise outside like something running out of gas, I grabbed my shoes and ran outside barefoot in time to see a helicopter falling from the sky and land intact on its' side. I yell as I am running for someone to call 911. Their was a child inside crying, but ok. She was lying on her back and had an impression all over her back from the seat. Everyone was ok, the pilot said he just ran out of gas. Next thing I do is run inside and type on Pcom, "Guess what I just saw land in my front yard". Then I woke up.

I had to call for a non-emergency yesterday and was advised to follow the prompts until an "operator" answered. When the operator answered, she asked "Do you have an emergency?" (no), not "What is your emergency?". I figured she was just a regular operator and not designated as an Emergency Operator. She was just as efficient and was very helpful.

I watched the video but still haven't voted. Been a long time since I took CPR, too long. Regardless to what the video said, I was taught to check for breathing. If there was none, you give mtm, otherwise only chest compressions.

I agree, it has become one of my pet peeves. I recently forgot myself and corrected someone when they used the word "fur". I said "You find fur on animals and coats" She then got me back saying "you'll find it over yonder, etc." The word still bugs the heck out of me.
