  1. I have had not just one but two very bad experiences with Ragsdale's techs. The ladies in their office are wonderful to deal with, but the service and attitude of their techs was deplorable. With Rainwater, we had Chris (or was it Craig) come out to give us a quote. He knew what he was doing and he is a very nice person but we decided to use another company. We went with CoolRay to replace our old upstairs HVAC system and to install a 2nd new one downstairs (including never before installed duct work downstairs). We have been very happy with them. Their techs knew what they were doing,
  2. Mr. Dis, you said the same thing my husband said "A BB gun?" when we heard it on the news. I don't think he realized that a baby that young still has mostly cartilage instead of solid bone, so the BB only had to pass through that and muscle, if it hit any cartilage at all. I wonder if it was a pump BB gun or one with a CO2 cartridge? Either way, we couldn't figure out why the guy would point any gun at anybody.
  3. I shared this on facebook with the petition link and a link to the story. I don't think this judge understands what STATUTORY RAPE is!
  4. Yep, same here. I am having symptoms break through my Zyrtec and Nasonex that I take year round. I thought it was from hay fever or rag weed.
  5. That is awesome! I have been praying for her and wincing a bit at the details of what she has went through. I seriously think you should submit her story to the Guinness Book of World Records because I have NEVER heard of someone passing that many stones in an episode. God bless her bladder and kidneys!
  6. Blondie you guys need to go talk to them and take a tour soon before they quit offering the discounts on the memberships. Go up there one day when the owner is in. I will PM you his name. Then just call ahead and ask if he has time to meet with you.
  7. I believe the military discount also extends to first responders. When you sign in you are given an electronic card key to access different areas. If you are a full metal jacket member and order anything with alcohol from the lounge then your card is denied access to the range area until the next day and no guns are allowed into the lounge. Yes the full metal jacket membership is more expensive than the others and you may think it only allows lounge access but you also get discounts on store items and they plan to start having social gatherings in the lounge and fire pit area for those wit
  8. I love these kind of threads. They always give me a good giggle. Thank you.
  9. I've seen a real orb. It was the size of a volleyball, moved extremely slow, it was glowing and it was visible to the naked eye. I was a kid of 7 and at that time the only ghosts I knew about were the white sheeted ones at Halloween. I am not saying it was or wasn't a ghost because it may be possible that it had a scientific explanation. I just knew it wasn't normal, even as a kid, and something woke me up out of a sound sleep in order to see it. The weird thing is it didn't scare me and I went back to sleep within a few minutes! I guess the innocence about the paranormal is why I didn't feel
  10. Anyone who is prone to kidney stones should always avoid well water as it typically contains a high mineral content. A stent doesn't always work. My aunt just went through this. After several days of pain her doctors placed a stent in her. They gave it about 2 1/2 days total before she was in surgery to have the stones removed.
  11. I bet this location is in the New Hope area? Here are a couple of links for Paulding Paranormal. Get in touch with them. They are always interested in new cases. The Facebook link has an email contact on their "about page". https://www.facebook.com/pauldingparanormal2 http://www.pauldingparanormal.com/
  12. Are you talking about the local blackish salamanders that have a purplish-blue sheen to them? We get those around the house all of the time. Over the years I have come across a couple of live ones that the cats had been stalking INDOORS and a couple of dead ones INDOORS! We think they come in around the fireplace. I haven't seen any in a few years but our cats have definitely played with them a time or two and they are all still alive. One of those times my husband went to throw a live one outside upon which he was shocked to realize he was only holding it's tail in his hand! I laughed so hard
  13. Have a wonderful birthday Lady Raider!
  14. Yes, which was my point. They have the same weather as each other and western Minnesota. Their cold air comes down from Canada.
  15. You will need a good SUV or truck for driving in the snow. Make sure it has a good battery that will crank in minus degree temps.
  16. My husband has a couple of cousins who live in N. Dakota around the Fargo area. I have no idea about the job availability up there because one cousin works and travels for her healthcare job and the other is a special needs teacher. They have both been in their job positions for well over a decade. However, as far living conditions expect a LOT of snow! Their summers are basically about 2-3 months a year and they have a lot of humidity year round. Snow in the winter, floods in the spring from snow melt (so don't live near a river and find something on higher ground, if you can in such a flat l
  17. This is the place that use to always have a tour bus parked in front of it.
  18. I wonder if the dog was beaten by a PERSON, or if they put the dog into a fight where it was beaten by another DOG? Either way that can carry a sentence of up to 20 years in prison (I think that is the current max amount). That is just sad about the doggie.
  19. :yahoo: A light has been needed there since the 70s!
  20. Good morning everyone. Lady Raider I was just thinking the other day that I haven't seen you post in a while. It's good to see you hun.
  21. I bet JoAnn's offers classes. Classes would give them returning customers for all the fabric and patterns they sell. I have an old Kenmore from Sears that I purchased 20 years ago when I lived on my own, that I would not give up. I had known how to sew from watching my mother and grandmother as a kid, then as an adult I started figuring patterns out on my own. My hands hurt too much from arthritis and swelling to do pattern sewing now, but I still have my machine for repairs and hems. I am only 5'1" so almost all pants, jeans and dresses have to be hemmed for me.
  22. We have had too many rainy, overcast days in a row with little sunshine. Maybe now that we are receiving a little sun the leaves will return to normal. West Georgia normally has hot temps into September. Tomorrow we are supposed to hit 90 degrees and that is NOT a cool temp for leaves.
  23. Wow! That is pretty neat! I bet he kept his beer belly down to a minimum with all that work. I wonder if it helps with insulation or if it increases the heat inside due to being covered in metal?
  24. You are delirious from your illness. Go back to bed!
  25. I don't care if if is JULY I HAD to listen to this! Thank you Dana.
