I am normally NOT an allergy sufferer, but the past 2.5 weeks have been HELL! All that warm weather tricked the trees into thinking it was spring...

My niece goes to Abney and loves it. We've been impressed with the staff, PTA, and the teachers she has had the past three years, as well as the new principal. Mr. G seems to be a great fit for the school and I really don't have anything negative to say. We love Abney!

Royal Caribbean!! We've been on four with RCCL and they all have been the best vacation ever!! I have heard awesome things about Disney too, Carnival not so much... Our friends came back from a Carnival cruise and compared it to ghetto spring break. No thanks.

Yes, kids did have ADHD back in the 80's (I am one of them)... It just wasn't as diagnosed as it is today as the doctors didn't know near as much about. Research is everything. Looking back I was showing full-blown classic signs of ADHD in kindergarten (I'm 28 now). My parents DID bring their concerns up to my pediatricians, however the doctors just passed off as me being a "spirited and gifted" child (whatever that means) and told them "she will grow out of it." Well that didn't happen. I went through grade, middle, and high school, and four years of college struggling to learn.

Yeah, they brought our whole neighborhood brand new recycling containers probably almost a year ago. They do send out a separate truck for the recyclables. They don't take glass, so keep that in mind!

We have had Waste Industries for the past three years with no complaints... I even came home to a brand new trashcan today! Our original one had a small crack in it and they replaced it without even being asked! We pay $34.95 quarterly, so about $140 a year.

I would NEVER EVER EVER allow any of my pets to go on an airplane as cargo. Period. It is not worth it to have my furbaby be unattended and under that much stress for an extended period of time.

If you are just dealing with dry skin (without a flea problem) Dawn is definitely NOT going to help with the skin issues... and could actually make it worse by stripping the oils. Something like an Aloe and Oatmeal shampoo would be a good choice, something that soothes the skin and still keeps those oils in. Dawn is really only good if you need to kill fleas, otherwise I wouldn't use it as it does strip the oils from their skin. The benefit of Dawn is that it kill fleas on contact, it's cheap, and it is safe for young puppies (as long as it is washed off well). Many of the flea shampoo's &

Dawn is awesome if you have fleas, it kills them dead!! Just be careful about using adult human shampoo especially if your dog has dry skin... most of the time it will just strip the oils from their skin and make them itchier! Baby shampoo with moisturizer is a good alternative, or any of the "hypoallergenic" dog shampoos.

Wow!! That's awesome!!

Did anyone see the Air Force Bombers fly over during the anthem? One of those pilots is my cousin Rick!! From what we heard, they are scheduled to be introduced during halftime, so we will be watching to see if that part makes it on TV! They will also be seated on the 50 yard line on the Bears side for the game. We are Bears fans in our household, but this just makes this game that much more fun for us. :-) Enjoy the game everyone!

We are right by North Paulding Highschool... not sure where the transfer station is? I just went back out and the aroma isn't as strong as it was an hour or so ago, so whatever it was it's going away. :-) I called Walmart... they are sold out.

I just went out to walk our dogs and the outdoor air smells like burnt gunpowder. Interesting, I know! I've never encountered this "aroma" before other than after a big fireworks display on the Fourth of July... Anyone in North Paulding know what I'm talking about?

My husband and I do this almost EVERY morning! Except I'm the snoozer and he is instantly ready to jump out of bed on the first alarm he hears... The alarm click is probably the source of most of the bickering in our marriage. Lol Our main problems are two-fold... #1: I'm like a drunk person in the morning... Every morning. It takes my brain a good 30 minutes to wake up enough to realize what's going on. Seriously. I've been like that my whole life... #2: My husband can't go back to sleep once he hears an alarm, so he gets ticked if I keep hitting the snooze. I need an alarm

I couldn't agree more with your first statement... Education start at HOME!! DO NOT rely on your child's school to teach them right from wrong. That is YOUR job is a parent! However, I disagree with telling them "It's ok to have sex, just be responsible." NO! It is NOT OK to have sex!!! These are children we are talking about! My parents taught me that abstinence was my only option until I was old enough to make my own decisions as an adult (Ie, 18) AND I was in a relationship with the person I wanted as a life partner. And I NEVER once swayed from those "morals" for fear of now disap

I know this sounds stupid, but have you unplugged it? Sometimes with computer glitches, if you allow the computer to reset it will go back to normal. Just something to try before you call a repair person. :-)

Ours did to!! And it never goes out! If someone has a three-story ladder, and some bravery I can borrow, let me know!

We went a few months ago for the first time and I probably won't go back. I was surprised at the large number of booths selling "Made In China" junk (Knock off hats, purses, belts, shirts, etc). I must have seen the same hat at ten different booths. Not all what I was expecting. I miss the "real" flea markets where every booth had different eclectic stuff. Some handmade items, some antiques, and even a little junk here and there. You just don't find those places anymore.

Plus that area around Blairsville has pretty difficult terrain to navigate... Between the mountains and the heavily wooded forest I'm sure it was a slow and painstaking process.

I guess a lot of people are just going with "normal" tags due to the economy... The income generated from the "spay and neuter" tags was so low this year the Dept of Ag cut funding to that program back in Feb 2010... Our clinic used to get funding to do 12 discount spay/neuters a month... Now we get 3!!

The only two sites I really use are: SouthernSavers.com and IHeartPublix.com, but there are a THOUSAND coupon sites out there!! It can get really overwhelming! I always start with SouthernSavers to print out my shopping list, and then I use IHeartPublix as a double check before I head out to the store (Sometimes SS misses stuff). I<3P also has a section for "high dollar coupons" that is nice check every once in a while.

I watched this last night... Honestly it was kind of sad (especially the first lady). These people are basically ADDICTED to saving money. They literally get the same "high" as any other type of addict (ie, drugs), except their drug of choice is coupons. Besides the addiction, there is the hoarding behavior that is the other side of the coin... Obviously it is awesome that they save so much money, but what is ONE person going to do with over 1,000 bottles of body wash? or 213 boxes of pasta? It is one thing to use coupons to save money, but to create a stockpile that extreme is jus

My mom and sister went a few months ago (Beijing and Shanghai) and LOVED it!! I couldn't go due to work and I was SO JEALOUS when I saw their photos and heard what a great time they had. My sister is 5'10" fair skinned with blonde hair and blue eyes and the people there were FASCINATED with her!! So much in fact that they would ask to take photos with her. There was no trouble with language at all. Most of the younger crowd (teens, 20's, 30's) all speak English and LOVE to talk to Americans to "practice." I'd say if you have the chance, go. What do you have to lose? You DO need

I'm not sure if this is at all locations, but I purchased a $5 Starbucks giftcard at the Hiram location and it printed out a Free Tall Beverage offer on my receipt! You have to go online and fill out a short (took maybe two minutes) survey about the visit and it gave me a code to write on my receipt to activate the coupon for when I use it. You can also register your giftcard on the website (https://www.starbucks.com/card/rewards) to get other perks like: - A free drink of your choice on your birthday - Free flavorings or syrups - Free refill on brewed coffee or tea - Free d

If you haven't seen the new "Word Lens" app yet, it is INCREDIBLE!! It turn your camera into a language translator. I have NO IDEA how it does this. Just plain crazy. Here is the intro video on youtube to see a demo:
