Me too ... and Monsanto needs more than a wrist slap...something far more evil is going on there. I'm just saying, they know exactly what they are doing, and it is fear and intimidation. Just as our commissioners have done to you and your wife... tooo many stories like this our courts seem out of control too. The Govt requiring ethanol be added to gas, therefore grinding up of our food to make ethanol is even more onerous than not using GM seeds to me. I understand the need for hardy disease resistant seed stock … Monsanto though appears to want to be the monopoly in taking away ri

Anybody remember the rain dance from last year?
Gone replied to The Sound Guy's topic in RECENT TOPICS
As I recall from my GA gardening books, we don’t usually see much rain in the summer until late summer and the hurricane rains. With a La Nina weather pattern I think we have high pressure that keeps the damp air that normally comes up from the gulf from us- lower humidity- which prevents the pop up afternoon showers we have some summers. Drought – A Brief History in Georgia Walter Reeves Each year that Georgia suffers through a dry summer, we proclaim that it is an unusual occurrence…a “Drought of the Century”! Would you believe that we’ve had five “Droughts of the Cen -
Isn't it interesting that no one understands 0bama just put our small farmers in a box? This could also ruin the seed diversity that keeps whole regions from losing a specific crop or plant due to one infestation of bug, fungus, or virus in nature. 0bama is a parasite on America and the people who live here! Democrats give one more big favor to George Soros December 02, 2010 Curiously, George Soros' hedge fund has just bought 897,813 shares (valued at $312.6 million) of Monsanto. His hand seems to be in anything that weakens individual freedom and destabilizes c

You are correct. Term limits need to be placed for all elected people. State and Local. Money is now the deciding factor of who is elected, not competence. Just as the office of president has the opportunity to only sit in that office for two terms ... so should all other forms of representation have a limit to the number of years they "rule us." There is no longer a check and balance to their power when they have all been there for DECADES!!!!! Not everyone knows that until 1951, a President could stay in office for his entire life, as long as the people would continue to vote

The 9.1% does not include those that are under employed making $7.50 an hour and no benefits, when in the past they made well over $30 an hour, with benefits, vacation, and sick pay. There is more to the distress in our country than the numbers show. Subby is correct... people need to wake up ..."ALL rise up against this, in vast numbers.....and SOON!!! Time is running out for Americans." We are watching our government change into a progressive socialist country run and ruled by 30 and 40 year politicians that have no one’s future or well being in their concerns...they are only conc

GMO ... Genetically Modified Organism GM Seeds ... Genetically Modified Seeds Based on Schmeiser's summary ... the court said Monsanto controls the seeds...thus they must control it in the environment so it does not contaminate others. They can't control it...so they now have a responsibility. There are many court cases against Monsanto we will see where it ends. Family Farmers Amplify Legal Complaint Against Monsanto’s GMOs May 31st, 2011 Biotechnology Giant Fails to Provide Binding Legal Protection; Farmers Threatened by Contamination from Genetically Modified O

Love him ... and with 2 offices it is easy to get appointments. We used him for both of my sons - excellent results. His prices were right...not the cheapest like some that were just an assembly line - too busy. I remember the Ortho that was the cheapest ...the girls were discussing their dates and party life in front of basically middle schoolers! To say the least, the girls were unprofessional... Others seemed overpriced to pay for lots of computer animation consultations and over the top game systems for the patients in the waiting room. Those also wanted cash or you ha

Over 15 years ago a friend told me that Mc Donald’s Diet Coke fountain is different and BETTER than out of the can or even another fountain poured Diet Coke. I wish she never pointed that out . . . I always thought it was the larger straw. . . Once you pay attention there is a bubblier better taste. She was right. Like you I do not eat at McDonalds ... but if I am in the restaurant with someone (playground for their kid kinda thing,) I will buy a soda... their Diet Coke is better!

The one at 92 and 120 has been going for several weeks now. I drove by at 3:30 today and they had many set up with tents! I don't know the hours, but it seems like it is Friday afternoons until the traffic dies down after the rush hour.

#2 DEAD James Arness, the 6-foot-6 actor who towered over the television landscape for two decades as righteous Dodge City lawman Matt Dillon in "Gunsmoke," died Friday. He was 88. And the reason it is all gone is they FILL the cup with so much ice there are only like two thirsty drinks in the cup! Face it, how many times have you felt like you paid to get a cup of ice? I never thought of going in and re-filling the cup I just bought ...at the same time if I did that I mightwould have a word with the manager if I had to waste my time going in. Probably why I don't much eat out anymore ... not worth the money or aggravation of not getting what you are expecting!

In the past all the Foreign National had to do was produce their Green Card. I personally think with a national computer base it would be straightforward to have guest worker cards. Instead of making them valid for 10 years, restrict it to 2 like a conditional Green Card. I think the industries who need motivated, hard working, people to do jobs many Americans will not typically do, should work on getting some legislation put together for a comprehensive data base of guest workers. Then a foreign national could either show a green card or a guest worker card. According to the U

I loved Thailand. We went years ago- and I would without hesitation go again. Husband’s company assigned a guide for us, so I did not research anything before I went. We did not know how much play time we would have. I parlayed a work/vacation to coincide with my husband’s international work/travel, so we had locals to hang out with from my company and his. In Bangkok you must see The Grand Imperial Palace, Wat Arun Bangkok, the old temples in the ancient city of Ayuthaya, take a motor boat along the Chao-Praya River, and the Bangkok Temple of Wat Phra Keo. There are some great m

anyone else have home buying issues, especially with foreclosures?
Gone replied to Mama Carol's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have a friend in Austin, Texas who had a similar story. She was going through a divorce, and needed a smaller house, but in the same school district. Her dad was helping her pick up a forclosure. She found one that was to be sold at auction by the bank. She put in a cash bid. They were told she did not get it... no one else did either. So they were watching for it. Again it was going up for auction, she made another cash offer. It sells to someone else. Later they find out the offer that was taken was less than theirs...plus the guy had some bank connections! They had do -
My son drove me from Dallas to West Palm Beach then back again. It was great because we went through all types of traffic, weather, night, and day driving in the 20 hours round trip that it took... and he drove it ALL! And you’re right... two days later I said I needed to go to Lows, would he drive me? ... The answer was "No, I'm just not that much into driving!!!!! Of course he drives to church, his work, and for errands he needs done - the places he wants to go...he's not going to have ME drive him. But now almost a year into it, he begs off driving me on errands. We ha

I get Maine and the lobster, however I don't know that I have ever heard of a president and their wife eating lobster as many times as I have with Obamas. AND, not JUST in Maine. Slow news...perhaps...my comment was that Lobster has been discussed in the news more than I remember ever before... and to be honest more than it matters. Then this: Again, there are families TRULY IN NEED, and it is the perverse leaches that harden our hearts when we see such blatant disregard for the help that was given. In this case a person/family that qualified somehow for MN Bridge Card and spent i

Kinda looked like when you have a random maple tree come up in your flower bed and you clip it back to the ground then it sprouts into like 9 new shoots. The leaves in the picture are large. I'm surprised it's not inside the pool area ... maybe their kids are growing it and they have no clue what it is? -
This nation has changed, and not for the better. I am so sorry... and disappointed at the corruption I see everywhere - in our county, all 50 states, and our federal government.

Must be nice to feel “no guilt” at being a leach on society using food stamps for lobster and steak. Yeah, we purchased 4 hams for $1.09 a pound from Target last week. I froze three - we will eat these and chicken most of the summer since I cannot afford hamburger at almost $3.00 a pound, let alone steak! But then they are just following the AUSTERE measures our leader has shown the Nation. Obama’s favorite meal includes lobster apparently. There is so much entitleism in our country that it has hardened people’s hearts to those that truly do need the assistance.

Steven has worked on our computers in the past with timely pick up, and delivery. Getting us back online so quickly we wished we had just called him right away. Instead we had a neighbor that works in an IT department for a large company help us... the problem popped up again, then we got a virus. Steven at Computer Rescue fixed it all!

The parents are morons. The kids will need lots of counseling down the road. I was a product of a liberal university that said nurture not nature was what made girls want dolls and boys want trucks. Androgyny was huge in the 80’s remember Boy George and all the other androgynous looks going about? Really the same thing these parents are attempting to get people to buy into. Man was I sorry that I listened to any of that! I too bought into the give your sons the opportunity to nurture dolls or play like they clean the house and so on, and let your girls play with guns o
