  1. Thanks, that was my next move, actually. The way the News was talking/reporting about this and it being a "BREAKING" story, I thought it happened today. I looked on here to see if it was here and found nothing. I wonder why it's just now, coming out??? Why didn't we hear about this from the News, then???
  2. We are still watching and rewatching the news. It's "a Developing story" so it must have happened today, maybe???? It happened in the mans home on Chattahoochee Dr. Which is down Hwy 92 just after Hwy 92 turns to the right. I'm pretty sure this is it, I don't know of a second Chattahoochee Dr, in Douglasville. Prayers for the Family, will be said. I could NOT imagine what they are going through. I tried to find something on the WSBTV web site and couldn't find anything!!!
  3. I worked with Sue for a few years. We talked on a regular basis and I'm just missing her already. RIP Suzie Q, I Love You. She always had a special place in my heart, I'm sorry to hear of her passing.
  4. One of my daughters, lives in a s/d that has ALL underground power, phone and cable lines. NO street lights at all. It's very spooky at night, too!!!! I sure wish her s/d would get street lights, as well but, I'm for sure it would never happen, though!! I wish they could buy another home in a different s/d. We have street ligts in our s/d and we pay $4 a month. I can only recall one or two lights that have burned out (and were fixed in a timely manner)and we've been here for 11.5 yrs. I love my lights, they shine on our bedroom window, of course the faux wood blinds blocks the light, pret
  5. I've never beeen impressed with Ruby Tuesdays (RT's), Apple Bees, O'Charlies, Out Back or TGI Fridays. Every time that we have been to the Dallas location of RT's, the food and service was NOT very good. We have not been, in almost a couple of years, though.
  6. It's PLAIN as day!!! How could you NOT see it??
  7. Does anyone know if any of the movie theaters are doing the free or cheap movies this year?
  8. We don't have to worry about this issue, I have OnStar on my vehicle and hubby has the touchpad on his vehicle. When I was cleaning apartments, many, many moons ago, I locked my keys in my car on a regular basis. I had to get spare keys made and kept one in my cleaning basket, one in the dash (no one knew it was there but, me) This way, if I locked the keys in the trunk (back in the OLD days, hehe) I was still able to get it open, again. This was when you have to have a key for the ignition AND a key for the trunk.
  9. Roadside Assistance is on a lot of Automobile Insurance Polocies. It might be a good idea to check with your Insurance Co. I know when my cars transmission went out, I called my Insuracne company and I had Roadside Assistance. They towed my car back to the dealer, which was close to closing time, they waited on us and the tow truck to get there before they closed.
  10. The second picture looks like it was photoshopped. You can "clearly" see the eyes, nose and a mouth but, you can't see an "ANUS"!!!
  11. Sometimes when traffic is tight, cars are so close together, that they can't move. It's the car in front or the car behind has to move first and then, you can move. I try to leave enough of space between my car and the car in front of me, this way if I need to move, then I can. But, sometimes YOU JUST CAN'T MOVE. I'm NOT being unsympothetic, just being realistic. I have found myself in this situation before and I was able to move out of the way. But, other people around me who were literally, bumper to bumper, could not move, at all!!!
  12. Who or what is "Countyline?" Glad to know there wasn't a tradegy, this evening, in this s/d and that this person will be getting some much needed help. If only, more of these type of situations, would turn out like this and NOT end in a tradegy, would be great. We see and hear of way too many suicides and it just breaks my heart to hear of them happening. Please keep us posted in any updates, if anyone hears of any.
  13. I buy pretty much, ONLY the BOGO free items at Publix and not shop so much at the Kroger store, anymore. I like Ingles meats and I will buy some at Kroger but, Publix has the small packages of Cubed Pork, 2 or 3 small pieces in a package for like $2 or $3. This is perfect for us and cheap. I do buy the Catfish and Shrimp ONLY when it's on sale, though!!! Aldi, maybe every once in a while, like eggs and potatoes or picnic (my fine china) supplies.
  14. That sounds like a lot of fun!! We are due for another trip. I have been wanting to go to the Grand Ole Opry, again. I just want to go somewhere, doesn't really make a difference. I don't like going too far from home and not be gone for too long.
  15. Why can't it be fixed sooner??? Has to order parts or something like that?? Just curious, I hate to see anyone suffer thru this heat. My daughter's air quit today, also. She called Dependable Services in Douglasville, they squeezed her in todays schedule and the compressor was messed up. They fixed it and she is a cooling off, already!!
  16. This family is going to need a lot of prayers and support. Please post any fund raising events, if you know of any in in the future.
  17. When my girls were in the hospital, having babies at Tanner in Carrollton, they had Honey Graham Crackers and Peanut Butter for a late night snack . The kind you get in the hospital is NOT like anything you can get at the grocery store!!!! I have found the next best thing...............Peter Pan Honey Roasted Peanut Butter, although the honey graham crackers, jsut didn't taste the same. I will only buy the Peter Pan Honey Roasted Peanut Butter and it's mmm gooood on a nannaer sammich!! Which would be good right about NOW, I'm hungry.
  18. Thank You for posting this!!! I try to catch all of the updates that I can, it just amazes at his progress. The Halstead Family is always on my mind, Stacey is one strong lady, I just can't imagine. Nor, would I want to even to try. God Bless this Family!!!
  19. Mein Mitchell is a Douglasville address, if I'm not mistaken.
  20. I will ask my PC Dr this morning, about these new meds and see what he says. I'm just curious.
  21. Ohhhhh yes......I was very, very upset with them and I let them know it, too!!!
  22. Yes, I'm sure it will. Onglyza was cheaper, because I had a discount card thru Onglyza, Caremark was NOT paying anything on it. But, yet, they would NOT "approve" it, therefore I could not get it, even though they weren't paying anything towards it. Doesn't make sense, I know!! And, now I am seeing commercials on the TV about people who have taken Januvia, and has ended up with Cancer, to contact this Attorney. And the Insurance company made me try this medicine????? CRAZY FOLKS, I TELL YA!! AND, all of these new meds just so happen to be "name brand" therefore I have to pay a highe
  23. Exactly, what is it for? I am a Type 2 Diabetic and I take, Metformin, Glimeperide and I WAS taking Onglyza but, my Insurance Co. said I have to try another medicine instead of the Onglyza. Keep in mind my A1C was 6.0 on last dr visit, before the changes. So I was switched to Januvia for 30 days and my A1C went to 7.3 I check my sugar daily and of course it had gone up as well, I called the Insurance to get back on the Onglyza and OH NO, you have to try 2 or 3 different medicines. SO, now I'm on Tradjenta, and my sugar is up and down. Not sure what the A1C is but, I go back to my PC Dr in the
