My oldest Son-n-law is a truck driver and he will NOT eat anything that has anything poppy in it at ALL. He's not taking any chances....better to be safe than sorry!!!

Evidently, the news media jumped the gun on this story yesterday and must have misunderstood what the Mother was saying. The WSB News reported the death of this Brave Man and then retracted the story shortly after reporting it. My friend and I got the story in that short window of being aired. I was so wanting him to recover from his injuries. For his sons sake. But, he is safely in the arms of the Lord today, no more pain and suffering.

My daughter does cakes and the last one I posted, took her more than 20 total hrs. She does a little at a time. On this cake, the little pom poms took over 9 hrs to do 7 and the ruffles on the 2 cakes, took even twice as long or longer. It all depends on what you want done but, just rolling out the fondant is hard, itself. Good luck. I hope you have enough time to do the cake!!

Ummmm, am I missing something, this was yesterdays news????? I know it's sad as can be and I was soo hoping that he would be ok, it just breaks my heart. My thoughts and prayers will be with this family and most especially his son.

We are a little over a half a mile from the New Ga intersection (Hwy 61 & Ridge Rd) and it's 8 miles from our front door to the front door of Walmart. Mobley's is another 1/4 mile from there, where are you in New Ga, that is only 3 miles to Mobley's??? I'm just curious.

This is at the intersection of Nebo Rd/Mayfield Rd and Hwy 61. We had heard, about a year or two ago that that a roundabout was possible but, this would be a better solution. The traffif is only going to get worse and a roundabout may not be the best solution. Of course there are people who will still run the traffic lights but, you can't fix stupid!! There are stupid people on the roads everywhere. My link

The store is across the street from the Church Of God and not directly across from the hospital. Between the Housing Authority and the Pentecostal Church. I'm glad the clerk was NOT harmed but, also glad the robber IS NOT going to be robbing anyone else!!

From what I've been told, Most all of the Churches are now, referring all of their callers to go to Helping Hands because the churches give everything they collect (food and money) to helping hands. St Vincent DePaul still helps with funds and some food but, the majority of the churches in Paulding don't help, anymore. The needs of this county is growing and the churches just can't keep up.

I was listening to 95.5 talk show on the way home and they said the one who was caught was a 16 yo and there were 5 people, the other 4 got away in a dark colored sedan. This has me disturbed, not that I know or knew the people involved but, it's still senseless. Why can't people understand that the law WILL catch up to them shortly. They, the criminals are NOT invincible. Throwing ones life away for a couple of dollars, just leaves me shaking my head!!! Prayers for the Family!!

I'm NOT trying to hijack this thread but, I saw a rerun of Jerry Maguire Saturday night and when I saw the little boy, it reminded me of Tripp Halstead. I just couldn't believe how the two boys looked so much alike!!! jmho&2cw......... I could picture Tripp looking like this in a few more years. I'll find a picture of him (Tripp) in a few minutes. Just picture Tripp with eye glasses. What do you think? Or, am I needing new glasses???

We pass by there every Tuesday & Wednesday Did anyone see the pregnant young lady in Hiram, behind one of those shopping strips that are up front, in front of Kohls and Target area, last Wednesday afternoon??? Her sign said something like pregnant with 2 or 3 children, need to feed them, so on and so on????? I gave her Helping Hands name and number. I wasn't sure if she spoke good english or not but, I told her to go to Helping Hands for free food. I just hope she went

It sounds like someone was getting revenge for something, maybe someone the Sheriff's Deputy (the victims son) had arrested at some point and time??
