  4. You guys that go into these houses - what type of work do you do? This story makes me feel so sad for the kids who are living like this and a little guilty for harping on my kid to pick all his legos up out of his playroom floor 1 time per week and sort them into their storage drawers. I have multiple dogs in the house too - no poop - EVER. I'd die if people saw poop on my floors!!! Mrsdavej
  5. Mrs here - I actually made a list of names/gift ideas - went out at 10 a.m., finished around 9 p.m. and completed Christmas shopping....Friends are either po'd at me or completely impressed - lol! I did read an article that I can't get out of my mind. A local woman was interviewed. Said her husband was out of work so she was only spending $1000 or so for the entire family where she usually spends $1000 per child. And, her kids were like around 6 years old!!! What child needs $1000 worth of STUFF at Christmas??? I was like WOW, just WOW. Fortunately, we have not been affected at all by

  12. http://www.wsbtv.com/news/21674015/detail.html My question.....why do the patients have ropes? Wilson said that among other things, investigators found problems with the physical environment. He said an example would be the need to remove faucets with angles that can be used as an anchor for a rope.

  17. We have a health savings account with a high deductible insurance thru United Healthcare........We receive the "negotiated rates" at the doctors/hospitals, etc. This is the first year we've hit our deductible (son had 2 ER visits to Scottish Rite - severely broken arm and stitches in his leg the second time). Now, everything is covered at 100%. I have found that when you call to pay your bill after insurance has been filed and you tell the billing office that you have a HSA with a high deductible insurance, you will almost automatically be offered a discount - anywhere from %10 to 30% and -

  22. This is my second marriage, hubbys first.....first marriage was a total bust because my mom didn't have a clue as to what was needed, but wanted her entire family there. It was awful. This time, I knew what I wanted and, since we were paying for it, we did it exactly like I wanted. We had a caterer simply to ease any stress of "is there enough food, is it good, etc. etc." It was perfect with all the trimmings - mellons carved into baskets & swans with the mellon balls in, etc. My dress was inexpensive, but nice - the dress just wasn't a big thing for me.
