A.J.'s on the back river and StingRays are awesome on Tybee......the tides were high this week, but the breezes were wonderful.....Not a drop of rain from Friday night until we left earlier today......Saw a Paulding tag in the same condo complex! I LOVE Savannah/Tybee and would love to retire there! This is our second trip this year....

I'm not a "Sonny" supporter, but this fight has been going on LONG before Sonny took office......Questions: Alabama has more lakes than we do - why don't they tap into their own resources? What happened to good ole well water (like smaller towns are now using since the drought)......Any ideas??

Country of origin labels may reduce beef export demand Country of origin labelling laws that came into effect in the United States this week could reduce demand for some of New Zealand's beef exports. The new regulation requires retailers to display the country of origin for a range of food products, including beef cuts, ground beef, lamb and other meats, fish, fruit and vegetables. The United States is New Zealand's biggest export beef market. Up to 90% of the beef sent to the US is manufacturing beef which is blended with American product for the hamburger and ground beef trade. Copyr

I'm not trying to be a smart butt.....I just stood - looking at ALL the ribs, country style and boneless, had Product of Canada on them today. Except for the big white boxes labeled "Product of Denmark" ready to eat ribs. As did the majority of pork chops.......I've asked the meat department MANAGERS in the past.......mostly, my fish comes from my family (dad/brother, etc) deep sea fishing trips and local lake fishing trips and my other meat from meat markets.......I'm just amazed at the response now that the meat is being more clearly labeled......As I said, not trying to be a smart@$$....

Pork Imports The United States has accounted for a diminishing share of world pork imports as U.S. imports fall and world trade expands. The United States now accounts for less than 10 percent of total global imports. The lion's share of U.S. pork imports originates from Canada and Denmark. In recent years, more than four-fifths of U.S. imports came from Canada, while Denmark accounted for about one-tenth. However, Canada's preeminence as a supplier to the United States is a recent development. As recently as 1985, Denmark and Canada each supplied about two-fifths of U.S. pork imports.

Frequently Asked Questions Will country-of-origin labels raise the cost of meat? USDA estimated the cost to implement mandatory country-of-origin labeling in the first year alone be about $2.5 billion. Given the costs associated with record-keeping and the necessary segregation of livestock and meat in plants based on their origin that will be critical in ensuring label accuracy, that num- ber could be too low. How these costs will be spread across meat products and how much prices will rise is yet to be determined. How do these labels benefit consumers?

Most of our PORK comes from CANADA!! Not the US......Fast food places and restaurant meat comes from New Zealand and other areas.....I've done alot of research on this....We still produce ALOT of our own meat, but not all.......The shrimp I've been looking at says farm raised and in lower letters says Thailand.......

Just wondering......was buying meat at the local "double coupon" store this afternoon, when a woman genuinely told the guy in the meat department that she wasn't going to shop there anymore since they are constantly buying meat from other countries........I didn't realize that people still believed that all meat came from the US.......I have always done my best to make sure I buy only American, but, that's pretty hard with fish......Just wondering!

Can't do that to him....he's very, very organized......and he never varies from his routine - EVER, so, after all 17 years together, I KNOW that when he cuts grass, the edger, trimmer & gas can sit in the same place on the driveway.......I backed out in a different pattern, so, it's on me...... Sorry for the big words I found this and it looks just like the one we have, uhm, had......Where are you located?? He takes pride in keeping the yard neat and clean and I hate it that I killed a piece of machinery!!! http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores...2

OK.....before my husband has a fit - can anyone help me. He bought a Ryobi edger that attaches to whatever the hickymadoodle is....Anyway, he was cutting the yard this morning and had already edged and taken the doohicky attachment off and I backed out of the garage and, as soon as I felt something, I pulled off of it......I warped the metal bar...... (he threw it in the trash - I got it out and I want to fix it).......He said that nobody will straighten the bar and that he'll have to buy a new one - it's fine, except for a bent metal bar............ Any suggestions?

Do you know if the Wallace family from Powder Springs still have stake in this restaurant? Their daughter was a friend of mine in high school and, with facebook, and all of the planning for a class reunion, I've been thinking of her and wondering what she's doing....

LOVE IT!! We've been several times.....if you're skittish of wild animals - fair warning - they ARE used to sticking their heads INTO your windows/sunroof looking for food (only feed them the stuff you buy there) so you might want to take the bus ....We have pictures of my husband unknowingly about to be slimed by a bisons tongue!! Its out and about to wrap around his neck.....Since my husband just about had a heart attack, I didn't get the next shot!!!.....DO go in the morning during the week if at all possible. Splurge on a large bag of the food for the kids to feed the beasties!

I have a boy.....during school, he MUST shower every day. During the summer, it's according to what he's been doing that day - I'll let it slide here and there. Friends sleeping over - the boys look at me as if I've just sprouted a new head, but, if they're muddy/nasty, I'll make a game of flipping a coin to see who goes first, second, etc. and, if they all take a shower, I'll pop popcorn as a treat (bribe, actually). When mine spends the night away - usually with the same friend (he's just funny about sleeping over - he's 11) - sometimes he does/sometimes he doesn't. And, I agree with the

I found this for my cousin when his son died.......I thought it was the right time to share this with you, Denise. May God bless you. You have blessed me, though we've never met, through your writings on this web site.....Sharon I'll lend you for a little while A child of mine, God said for you to love, while he lives. And mourn for when he's dead. It may be six or seven years or fifty two or three but will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me? He'll bring his charms to gladden you and, should his stay be brief.... You'll have his lovely memories as a
