  1. Well, I tried! I entered your info correctly, but they didn't have a class in the timeframe it needed to be in for you to get the referral monies, so you didn't get it.
  2. I'm not, but I've heard the same things about them.
  3. The library also lends e-books. Woo hoo!
  4. I believe she does work in healthcare, but what does your statement mean? Do you know her salary is over-inflated, or did you just not see her job title in the list, or something else? I'm not being snarky - I really don't understand the statement. I believe the health department offers many services like this for free. Be worth a call, anyway. Edited to add that I found this link to the health dept.'s info: http://www.nwgapublichealth.org/counties/paulding/services.htm I know they do pap smears and breast/cervical cancer stuff (mammygrams, etc.).
  5. Good question. 'Cause there are lots of adults who like to play with them, too, as evidenced by James May's lego house of several years ago. http://www.topgear.com/uk/photos/james-may-lego
  6. OK, first of all, the obvious answer is "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!" (said in my best Jack Nicholson voice). But the real answer for me is that I personally don't do book clubs. I read probably 100 books a year (fiction and non-fiction) and I do utilize the Paulding Library now that there's a great new one up here in my neck of the woods. But I like to read books (generally 4-5 at a time, reading some in one and some in another, depending on my mood at the time) and then move on to the next one. I don't like ruminating over it with other people. I'm a Type A, so that's probably a
  7. Oh, I forgot about coverage for indigents, which many hospitals have to provide.
  8. You forgot the liability/malpractice insurance. That's a huge reason healthcare is so out of control. That, and the fact that it can't be sold via interstate commerce like auto insurance can.
  9. What's the TI? That's exactly how I drive it, and for the same reason.
  10. DO NOT plant hostas. They LOVE hostas. And impatiens. Don't plant those, either.
  11. YOWSA!!! Thankfully, I rarely have to go that way for anything. In fact, I'm sure it's been...gosh...several years at least since I traveled it.
  12. Yeah, and we all know how skeery that Afghan Navy is!
  13. Awesomeness!!! 16yo nephew got his third-degree black belt in Tai Kwon Do when he was 13. There was a 6yo girl testing for her first-degree black belt the same night, and she was completely adorable! A great sport, this.
  14. Wonder if the online version of TurboTax would open your file?
  15. I got it already, I got it! Geez, some people...
  16. Makes no diff to moi...I just blow by 'em on the right and keep on going.
  17. Oh dear Lord - we really ARE twins!
  18. I don't dispute your experiences, but I don't have a contract with either DirecTV or AT&T. I did have an agreement that I would stick with DirecTV for one year because the installation was free, but that was the closest either has come to a contract.
  19. Same as momof3 (duh). We have DirecTV, which is beyond fabu. It VERY rarely goes out, and then not for very long. Cable went out mroe than this ever has. I love DirecTV so much I could be a walking commercial for them. Do have BellSouth DSL, which isn't real fast, but it's enough for what I need.
