Someone broke in after closing time????

Jurors are picked from a pool of registered voters, not based on education or whether or not they are "concerned consumers." The voir dire process is used to eliminate some, but based on the number of jurors in the pool, the plaintiff and defense counsel have to sometimes work against each other to get the jurors that are most likely going to side with their version of the facts. AND, there are still lots of frivolous lawsuits out there, I've worked for attorneys for 20+ years and it's still as true today as it was back then.

Judge orders Pres. Obama to Fulton County Court this Thursday...

For Republicansi it's "hatred"; for Democrats, it's "passions"?????? I don't hate Obama - that's a very strong comment to make. I don't believe he's qualified to run this country (and based on his experience thusfar, he hasn't changed my opinion). But to say that Republicans "hate" someone is pretty strong IMO. -
No need to apologize - they're fine!! My family and I have been spending the day thanking God that they aren't hurt. They're still pretty shaken up by it all (duh), but stuff is just stuff, they're okay and they're with their kids.

My aunt and uncle live in Trussville (close to Clay) and their house was destroyed this morning. Thankfully, they weren't hurt - possessions can be replaced, my sweet aunt and uncle cannot.

One has sought forgiveness from God, one hasn't. I don't condone Newt's actions, but I'm also not going to throw stones. I just believe that he will do a substantially better job than our current administration.

Newt, Santorum, Romney, Paul, my deceased dog - all better choices than what is currently in office....

1979 was the first year I started collecting - I can't even imagine how many packs of cards that we got as kids, but I had a good start on the set. I didn't finish up that set until I found a bunch of boxes unopened 1979 vending packs at a flea market in Macon in the 80s and I bought the guy out for $50.

It's at Shem Creek. There is also a Vickery's in Charleston. There also used to be a location right behind our office here in Atlanta - I miss their burgers!!!

The Peninsula Grill on Market Street is wonderful for a really nice dinner. There are several good restaurants all around the market - we like to wander around and then just decide what we're in the mood to eat. Hyman's is good fried seafood and is very popular. The Noisy Oyster is really good, especially their shrimp gumbo. There are a couple of good places out at Shem Creek. The Library at the Venue Inn serves dinner, but we like to go there in the late afternoons and go to the rooftop bar - the view of the harbor is gorgeous.

I have several complete sets of Topps cards that I collected when I was a lot younger (70s, 80s, and 90s). Right now, unless you have a very rare card, the business of buying/selling basecards is non existent.

The best aid that I can recommend is patience. At this point, if his teacher and pediatrician aren't concerned about it, then he must not be showing any other signs of dyslexia. -
As someone who has worked in Atlanta for 20+ years and tried several upscale intown salons, that's not always the truth....

I'm sorry, but young kids should not be watching those movies - turn the channel or don't watch them when your kids are around (it's what parents are supposed to do). We treat kids like they are older than they are - as a preschooler, the princess has friends who use profanity - the parents believe that the kids are going to hear it anyway, so why not use it in front of them. We treat 10-11 year olds like they are going to have sex, we don't teach them that having sex at such a young age is damaging both mentally and physically - NO, we give them condoms and teach them that "teenagers are go

From the article: "According to the suggested guidelines, second-graders should use the correct anatomical names for body parts, Khan said. The guidelines also recommend that fifth-graders learn the symptoms of STDs, eighth-graders learn about safe sex and 12th-graders learn about emergency contraceptives." I don't see the topic of abstinenance anywhere in the description of the program.... And, think about this, we have kids who are illiterate and are able to graduate - do you REALLY want the schools teaching your kids about sex? Yes, until parents step up and teach their ki

PCSO has been holding a county-wide fundraiser lately - I've seen them set up in various locations.

I'm going to step out on a limb here and say that while most of the parents here are posting at how outraged they are and would "never allow" their daughter to dress like that, based on what you see out and about in Paulding County, chances are that the girls already do. I know parents who allow their kids to wear provacative clothes because they are the latest trend (booty shorts) and they believe that their child would never actually do anything wrong. I tend to think if you play with fire long enough, you do get burned....

You will be missed, but good luck and Godspeed!!

The princess used to call the refrigerator the "shiverater."

We went on Saturday night and we thought it was good for what we were getting. Hubby had the AYCE catfish (13.95) and I had the 9 oz. NY Strip (10.95). I will go back - it's convenient and the food was good enough to give it a second try.

And, this isn't just limited to public schools. I just crossed a private school of my list of prospective choices because the lunch menu for one week was: Taco Bell Tacos, Papa John's Pizza (2 days), McDonald's Double Cheeseburger, and Chick-fil-a Sandwiches. Granted this school doesn't have a kitchen and has to order in food from outside sources, but this is just over the top to me.

My daughter would definitely eat it - she pulls the breading off of chicken nuggets now anyway.
