I simply say to mind your own business. It doesn't matter why she decided to move in with another man - she did. Accept it or stop being friends with her.
-
Tell them they have the wrong number and to not call your number again. You are getting in the middle of this by giving them information. "She used to live here" and "her cell phone number is" - this tells them that you know how to get in touch with you and that if they keep calling and bugging you, there's a chance that you will push her to get the matter settled so they will leave you alone.

I do remember that!! I think I may have even questioned his ability to lead back then. BUT, now I've met the man and I admit that I was wrong - he's a great guy and he wants to do everything he can to help Paulding County.

Senate 31 candidate Carruth residency challenged
LisaC replied to GreenEyedGirl's topic in Paulding County NEWS
What concerns me is that he hired an attorney, but didn't file a response to the Complaint or to the Motion for Default Judgment... He could have easily stretched this case out through the election if he had done that (and legitimately would be in a position to say that it was ongoing litigation over a debt for which he doesn't believe he owes). -

I agree with that opinion, that's why I'm glad JK Rogers is in the race too. Carruth said that we don't need "career politicians." After his service on the Paulding County Commission (and now his attempt at the State Senate), I tend to think that he wants to become a career politician. -
Just remember - you have three other kids so there's a good chance that if something happened, one of the three would be a donor match.

Congratulations!!!! How exciting for you! As for cord blood banking, we got innundated with information about it too with the princess (almost 6 years ago), but we ultimately opted not to do it.

I'm guessing that it's because if you "loan" your campaign the money, you can take it back from any contributions you receive from others. I encourage you to meet JK Rogers if you get the opportunity - I think you will be impressed by his honesty and integrity.

But, something that he should keep in mind is that even in documents filed with the district courts, they are not going to be "secure" in the way that he may think they should be. The security and authenticity of those documents is based on each individual attorney's court-issued login and password (you have to be a member of the bar of the court or admitted pro hac vice in a case in order to get a login and password directly from the district courts). An attorney uses that login and password to file a document (NOT the login and password issued by PACERa). Once the documents are filed by th -

Honestly, I'm not sure what this means in his campaign - I haven't taken the time to look at what has been filed with the Secretary of State yet. But, I do have the access to court documents and merely wanted to make sure that the facts about the lawsuit are out there since it will take Pubby about a week to get his login and password from Pacer and this story will be old news by then... -

Pubby's is doctored - James N. Hatten is correct name of the Clerk of the Court on the Application for Writ. Attached is a correct copy of the Application for Writ that was entered by the Court. I uploaded it about two minutes ago. That it precisely what it means. Also, Pubby made a comment that it is unusual for a case to proceed through the federal courts in less than 10 months - he is absolutely correct. EXCEPT, when the defendants (in this case the Carruths) do not file an answer to a properly served complaint, a default judgment can be entered. That is what happened i -

Here is a summary of the lawsuit. All of the information that I have obtained has been directly from the Pacer link to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. Pubby, if you need to see actual, filed copies of any of the pleadings, PM me - I have a login and password that allows me to see and download these pleading. 10/11/2011 - FDIC files a Complaint alleging a breach of a promissory note executed by Bill and Laura Carruth. 11/1/2011 - Bill and Laura Carruth were served. 1/9/2012 - The FDIC is ordered to file motions to dispose of the case (becau -

Wow! I guess we will also see how this one shakes out. I've watched some of the video from last night's debate and I'm even more impressed with J.K. Rogers so I'm hoping he wins the election. Carruth is right, we don't need career politicians in that office, but given his past history on the Paulding Board of Commissioners, I think he may be stepping on his own toes... -
Wow! So did he or didn't he withdraw?

Our property value is in the toilet so I'm not one to throw stones.

I'm sure the Board of Elections will clear this up quickly either way. I'm not sure why someone would want to commit fraud in a county school board election so hopefully this is just a big mix up.

Thanks for the list!! I know it was pretty time consuming for you to produce this, but giving us a list of what goals you have met will show how diligent the Board has been in attempting to improve the quality of education in Paulding. While I'm still not comfortable putting my princess in the public schools in Paulding, I applaud your efforts and will continue to support our schools as much as I can and hope that one day, I will feel comfortable moving her into our schools. From a personal aspect, I've seen how direct corporate involvement in schools has drastically improved student m -
Then you're going to be in trouble - many accredited universities are now going to online classes as a way to save money. And, unless the transcripts for most public colleges have changed, most of them don't indicate whether the class was online or in a live classroom setting. The whole student loan process needs to be revamped - stop giving these kids a check, send the tuition money to the school. If the kids need rent money or money to buy food, they can get a job.
-
That is a good price, but some companies charge for road side assistance and will charge extra if you are going to be that far out of the original rental area so be sure to ask and make sure they know that you are driving from Georgia to Illinois and back.

The Bread of Life Ministry at Fortified Hills Baptist Church has a clothes closet that doesn't charge. They accept donations of gently used clothes, shoes and household goods and they share them with families in need. -
This trial has been boring. I have a feeling the verdict is simply, "we surrender."

Absolutely! And, I know it's a busy time for you so take the time that you need to answer - I would much rather have a complete answer that outlines all of your accomplishments rather than just a partial list (and it will give everyone an opportunity to see all that the board has accomplished in a more impactful way). -

Let me start by saying that I'm not looking to attack or turn this into any type of negativity - Kim has been one of the most open and available School Board members that Paulding County has ever had and we need more people who aren't afraid of doing that in our county so I wish her well in her campaign. I don't always agree with the decisions of the School Board, but I do recognize those that are consistently fighting to improve our schools. That being said... In looking at the candidates up for re-election, one of the things that I always evaluate is what they have accomplished since t -
Actually, I think the numbers may be flawed. For the teachers' salaries, they included their average yearly salary and included the cost of benefits. I didn't see or hear that the did the same with the "producers." If they didn't, then this number isn't an accurate reflection of what teachers in Wisconsin are being paid. Ex. You are paid $50,000/yr, the company pays $12,000/yr for ins. premiums on you, the company contributes 5% of your salary to a pension plan ($2,500), you have free membership in a gym worth $300/yr, they pay your parking ($1,000), etc., your salary can be construed
