We went through hurricane Hugo in Charleston in 1989 and we still stay prepared. It was like camping out for two weeks. Still have camp stove and lantern as well as other items to survive. And plenty of liquid refreshment for medical purposes.

My neighbor said we shouldn't worry about power outage because we have underground wiring. I had to explain that the original power source comes over hanging wires and then to our subdivision. She still didn't get it. She said she would then take her family to a motel to stay warm if we lost power. Tsk, tsk, tsk. And she is a substitute teacher.

I had an experience when I was coming up from the basement and heard someone call my name and felt as if someone touched my shoulder. Turned around and no one was there. Got chills. We believe we have a spirit (good one) in our home. We hear foot steps upstairs and no one is there. Have heard doors closing. Same results. No squirrels in attic. My wife says it's her Dad looking after her. We are the first owners of our home so it's not an old ghost. I do believe in angels or guardian angels. God has a way of looking after us when we need help or in danger. And they walk among us all the time.

I plan on investing in silver and am looking for a good reliable source. I have checked several sites but not sure which is best. Don't want 'paper' silver but the real things..........coins, bars, etc.

If you've read some of my past blogs do you really think I'd have a problem speaking in front of an audience. Where's the soap box. Once when I worked for a big manufacturer several of us had to make a presentation to higher ups.
