You must really be a snow geek to stay up until 12 AM just to watch it snow. As usual the local TV stations go bonkers with a hint of snow. Crazy.

They reworked/repaired our church gutters and added more downspouts. Excellent work at a reasonable cost and were there when they said they would be. Highly recommend.

It's the economy stupid. You've heard that before. Good food, too high prices and service sucked so what do you expect. Happens to a lot of want-to-be resturants. People don't want to go where service and prices are not good. They will take their dollars else where.

HEAR! HEAR! How come there are so many jobs advertised in the AJC? Maybe people are looking for a position instead of a job. They can't keep waiting for "the" job to open. Our government MUST stop the give aways. There should be a re-training program conducted by the state government after 56 weeks to help the unemployed learn a different trade or job. It's not their fault they are unemployed but they should be required to take training to learn something different. Also be required to take a drug test at 56 weeks. Same for those on welfare. Get a survey. It's worth it to keep from having problems. The neighbor behind me was putting in landscape timbers and plants and I knew he was on my property. I asked him nicely to move them and showed him the two corner post. He said the real estate agent said his property went about half way up in my yard. Clemson defeated Virginia Tech today. It set a new school record by beating three top ten teams in a row. Clemson wasn't ranked to start the season but they have sure shown what they are made of by the way they are playing. With Auburn beating South Carolina the game with Clemson on Nov. 26th should be a good one. Spurrier is probably crying in his beer. GO TIGERS

Giant Crab Buffet was really good. We went early to get discount. They had 170 items but I could eat only 165. Kidding. Crab legs, shrimp, fried oyster, and other seafood good. My son, his wife and two children, my wife and my daughter's two children were in Myrtle Beach this week and just got back. Riding down King's Hwy Wednesday afternoon to the Giant Crab Seafood a car pulled beside us and looked into our car and then kept on driving. I looked at their license plate and sure enough they were from Paulding. Three cars traveling together and all three from the great county of Paulding. I honked but they kept going. Track coach at Pauling HS said if you walk down around the first building and back to front it will be another 1/2 mile. I go around the 1 1/2 miler two or three times and do this three times a week. WOP has rolling hills and not hard, flat surface concrete like Siver Comet. Always meet nice people there (except dog pooper people). Group comes out in morning and fly battery powered airplanes.

I hope you took a poop bag. I thought I would submit a new name for White Oak Park........White Oak Poop Park. People take their dogs for a walk but have no respect for others walking. Some places are so bad that when you run you have to do a double step to keep from stepping in the poop. Some people just p--- me off. Oil prices keep going down but gas in Ga. hasn't gone down much. I went to Rock Hill, S. C. this past weekend. I filled up with $3.33 a gallon. Highest I saw in S. C. was $3.45. Crossed over in Ga and it was $3.65. Can anyone tell me why?

If there was ever a serious threat and word got out to gather food, some people (idiots) would run to the nearest grocery store and buy all the milk and bread they could carry. Took me years to convience my siblings and nephews to buy at least one hand gun to protect their families. One finally bought one when one of his neighbors had a break in and robbed during the day. No one was at home. Do not buy a .357 or .45. Big flash and load noise along with only one shot. Get a Mossberg 500 with a pistol grip. And pray, pray, pray it won't happen.

Would not it be easier and cheaper to just buy what is called a reverse umbrella. You hang it on a pot hanger, then hang the feeder on the bottom and then fill up the umbrella. I wrote my blog before company came back out. The AC tech, different from the one that "fixed" it, spent 30 minutes checking out the unit....inside and outside. He said the unit was freezing/icing up. He said he checked the freon and he said it was low. I told him the fan wasn't working because you could fill the cold air at the register but it wasn't blowing.
